I’m still relatively convinced that Mii Costume “theory” is the only one with potential merit to it, and even that can get struck down or supported with the Hero release Direct.

When it comes to the theories though, I get the feeling people are pretty much looking into things that aren’t even connected. I saw one with amino release schedules, and that one was completely sunk within a few hours. It’s fun to try and speculate or figure out what picks are coming, but these theories seem like straight up, “I FIGURED IT OUT” while fans stare on in fright.

The theories that make sense are those that set realistic expectations, or in some cases, those with lowered expectation mainly by correlation, not so much causation...box theory comes to mind. People believe what they want, and usually what they want is more characters. Box theory was “bs” because it didn’t have enough characters, and “Ken and Incineroar are bad final reveals”. Grinch leak was “real” because it had amazing picks and had more than the standard expected amount of reveals left at the time.

That didn’t turn out as expected.

Things are definitely out in the open now, because there aren’t any leaks telling us anything. But I would still caution dudes from expecting stuff that’s like “BRUH WE’RE GETTING EVERYTHING THE FANS WANTED”.

Yeah, we got Ridley. K.Rool. Banjo. However, this mindset of “it can only go up from here” happens every Smash game, and hopes get crushed.

How's Iron Fist so far?
I'm only on ep 2 of Daredevil s1 and I'm loving everything about it. I like the characters, the dialogue is well-written, the acting is solid, the action is stellar...and it's a ton of fun. Everything is falling into place perfectly for season 1 so far.

Iron Fist is 6th imo. Season 1 is okay, season 2 is horrendous beyond all comprehension. Never have I seen a show try so hard to prove how wack its protagonist is.

Iron Fist is 6th imo. Season 1 is okay, season 2 is horrendous beyond all comprehension. Never have I seen a show try so hard to prove how wack its protagonist is.

I remember haying season 2 of iron fist because I was one of the few people who liked danny as a charachter and watching that whole season was just watching them try to make Danny as irrelavant as possible it was....frustrating still like the show alot more than most people though

But... please I don't care about any other show just bring me back my daredevil goodness

At the bottom is Luke Cage. I've heard a LOT of negativity thrown at Luke Cage.

Least you're not far if you ever get the urge to visit. Only about a 7 hour drive out of LA to get to Phoenix.
AZ has it's problems but it's also so nice here that I doubt I'll ever leave.

Luke Cage is really boring, especially season 2. Oddly enough, the best parts of that show are when it cuts to a music act in Harlem's Paradise

I thought first half of season one was so good but the second half of the season was mediocre

Season2 to me was more solid across the bored but it ended kind of bad

Also Hat N' Clogs a thing you should know is that all the shows interlock with the Defenders, so don't be surprised when you go from Daredevil season 2 to season 3 and get lost

Realistically this game roster shows that Sakurai tries to balance out the characters that are added. As much as people like the fan favorites, the series wouldn't win new audience if they were the only characters added. Oddballs, big series, small series, obviously Nintendo old and new IPs, and so on, is the only reason the game got so big.

Realistically this game roster shows that Sakurai tries to balance out the characters that are added. As much as people like the fan favorites, the series wouldn't win new audience if they were the only characters added. Oddballs, big series, small series, obviously Nintendo old and new IPs, and so on, is the only reason the game got so big.

I don't think enough people think like this.

Limiting the newcomer selection to late 90s-early 2000s is a great way to minimize creativity and target audience.

I knew that when Banjo was revealed the narrative would change to “the rest will be fanservice.” It just seems like wishful thinking at this point, and there will be backlash even though the core Smash fanbase has been treated like royalty. Nothing will probably cause the upset Piranha Plant did at least.

Aw man I missed the Steve discussion.

The Steveposting and the deformed render I honestly found somewhat funny except for the mean images against characters (though I still found the Steve render itself a bit funny), however as time went on with the dumb Banjo vs. Steve war I just started to mostly dislike the render, and I wish people would have included the real Steve helping Banjo and Erdrick get rid of the deformed imposter. A lot of Steve fans would rather not have the render associated with them, I’m sure.

Tbh I guess the render is still kinda funny but I’d like to have it as a villain with the real Steve as a hero fighting him.

At least it can't be as bad as the last time, now that most of the loudest fanbases got their character. I still expect some general salt, but it can't be as bad as Corrin/Bayo temper tantrum meltdowns.

As far as I’m concerned Banjo-Kazooie was the fan service for the fighters pass. That’s not to say the last two will be fire emblem and Pokémon shill picks, I imagine they’ll be characters a lot of people like. But I dunno if they’ll be another of the “Smash speculation big guns”
