What the crap is it with big companies and micro transactions? Feels kinda cheap imo.
The better question is why would someone ask for them for such a thing that can be fixed through more fair methods.

Microtransactions are bad, sure. You know what's also bad? Paid online multiplayer. We're all guilty of that one. We pay for those things, myself included... *gulp*

I never bought an online subscription, tbh.

I did try the Switch Online Service through the free trials that you get for a time and the other trial that came with the Mario Tennis Aces demo.

I hate this a lot, which makes me hate online only games more. Take Overwatch for example: $60 bucks (when it released) + $60 for online membership = $120 just to play the game. Just......no.

That sounds fun

How good is CTR NF?
I love the game.

It makes some weird peaks of difficulty with stuff like the crystal challenges or time trials, but outside of that it is completely enjoyable for me.

While I wish the Pit Store could be used offline, it is easier to unlock stuff than I expected that to be offline. It’s mostly a matter of patience, but if you pull it right you can farm Wumpa Coins with ease.

It’s easy when you hear the steps (during Adventure Mode Aku Aku or Uka Uka also explain the process at one point).

You first hold L1/R1 when you want to drift, and then you press the other one while still holding at the pace of the green bar at the bottom right of the screen.

I've been very critical of all paid multiplayer services, and I was very vocal with Switch Online since the announcement was made in January 2017. When I had my 360, I never paid for Gold beyond the 3-month subscription that came bundled with it. I figure that all of these corporations have enough money at their arsenal and would be better off using the money we consumer give them in other products to help sustain their servers or whatever they have to maintain. They're not poor. They're multi-billion dollar corporations with lots of businesses running (barring Nintendo as their sole business is home leisure equipment, though they still have plenty of money in the bank). Unfortunately, if I want to play online for even the smallest of sessions, I have to pay. Since I was pissed when the service went live in September, I thought I'd just give them 3 years' worth of service... and I realized I'm giving them more reason to pull these things. I sought for a refund and opted for a family membership with others. It just seems like people are really keen to paying just to get rented games locked behind these services. I'd wager this is a practice that made sense in 1998, where the Internet was still making it into the mainstream. Basic online features like matchmaking shouldn't be behind a paywall. It's like Pokémon where regardless of there being people complaining about a particular subject (national Pokédex), they'll still buy it anyways.

Yep, I agree 100%. For Switch games that revolve around online play all the time like Splatoon 2, the price should be kept to $40 with $20 going into an NSO 1-year subscription, like that Mario Maker 2 bundle. Instead you're paying for a game that'll become dead in a few years' time for $60 and on top of it, you're getting $20 for online play, so make that $80. It's scummy. That's another thing with the price. I still hate it but I have to give credit to Nintendo for making the price relatively accessible for an annual subscrption... for now. If they see people are being happy with this, they'll undoubtedly increase the price, increasing my pessimism.

I’m ok, but my dog is sick and currently at the the vet so I’m a bit worried.

How are you doing, what was wrong earlier?
I hope your dog gets healthy again soon.

A lot of stuff...I have a lotta personal life drama going on right now; most of it relates to my job search. And when I try to escape...that can cause any potential to be relaxed dies, depending on what Im doing.

Sounds fun. It does pique my curiosity due to the Crash franchise rising from the ashes as of late.

I'm fine. I just got here, in case if it wasn't obvious lmao.
Welcome to the site.

Hopefully you enjoy many of the people here.

what if you have none like me?
Then aspire to accomplish stuff in the near future if you feel that you could do it.

Although if I am honest, you have accomplished something already.

You were one of the people here who actually brought me help and support during the past months and potentially prevented really dark stuff from happening if I didn’t have the help.

It’s that time again.

Time to animate.

Specifically, time to animate a camera moving down a hallway.

I’ve been spared.

To be fair, that's only if people buying the game didn't already have online. Many PS4 owners already had PS Plus since many of the games they play are shooters. And that payment for online isn't just for Overwatch; its for all games requiring online for that system, so if you're the type that likes online games, its not really a bad deal.

Yep. 3D animation specifically. Here’s some of my work. Not much but it’s all I have on me atm. (Also Reddit compressed the life out of it.)
Cool! I wish had animating skills sometimes. Though more 2D than 3D, but still.

It doesn't help that unless you are a PC game, online only console games are doomed to be unplayable once the servers go down, which further asks the question of why....

True. I only mentioned Overwatch as an example, I acknowledge it ain't the only one. I don't really focus on online play, very rarely I do and I don't have PS+ for more then a year, which is why Overwatch remains unplayable because need it to play, which I despise. Every game should give you some worthwhile content that allows you to play offline unless your an MMO.

The only reason I don’t pay for Online Subscriptions is the fact I rarely use those modes, but that could potentially change if more stuff similar to Stage Builder or Mario Maker 2 keeps being used on Switch games.

I don’t play online modes of player vs player, but I do use online modes to check levels or characters made by other people for both curiosity and personal interest.

2D is underrated, but I like the process of 3D animation far more than 2D, personally.

Oh yeah, it’s been out for a while now.

Bro, what even is Mario Maker 2's VS mode? Sometimes it works, but other times, it's 1fps.
It literally takes 1 player to ruin everything. I’m not even joking. Someone was streaming at, like, 1 fps, one person left, and it was smooth as butter for the rest of the match.

Alright so stage number one was built in SMB3's style
Stage number two's gonna be SMB
Still haven't touched NSMBU, but that's just a worse-looking 3D World ... but with the features that the World theme is missing

Gonna be a long time before I reach that 32 level limit
