*Sad noises*Lloyd, we have many single handed sword & sword/shield users, but we have no dual sword users.
Oh yeah, I guess those are swords..kinda..more like Daggers kinda, like what Zidane uses in Final Fantasy IX..but they have..strange swords and don't really fight like sword fighters do, honestly..so still kinda different.*Sad noises*
Wouldn't a sad pit.noise just be him screaming I never learned how to read! And sad dark pit noises would just be him being edgy in the background?*Sad noises*
I use it to play Smash, Splatoon, I’m gonna use it to play Pokémon...Do any of you here have any positive things to say about the Switch's online services at the moment?
Or how about some pros and cons?
I'm just asking around yet again because I've been debating with myself back and forth on whether or not to get it yet, because I'm well aware it has it's issues but I'm also rather eager to start playing a few particular games online (Smash included obviously). Hoping this will help me better make a decision or at the least give me some peace of mind if I decide to get it soon anyway.
Splatoon 2 runs pretty much perfect on it in my experience. I haven't got SMM2 yet, but considering that Splatoon's service is basically identical to the Wii U game's, I have no reason to doubt it would be the same for SMM2 (which is to say, quite good, all things considered). In my personal experience, Smash has the worst of all, but it still runs fine for me 95% of the time.Do any of you here have any positive things to say about the Switch's online services at the moment?

Namco has done music DLC for the last couple Soul Calibur games. And how is it a "waste?" That doesn't make sense to me.Besides Arc Sys, I don't think anyone's ever done f***ing music DLC ever.
Don't know why waste so much music like that.
Usually happens about a month before the games release, but in a recent interview they did say look forward to the evolutions. So maybe around August?Feel like we're due to see the mid-evos of the starters soon.
They’re all gonna be dudes in costumes, I can tell. Please dear god scorbunny don't turn into another dude in a costume.
The latter. One of the Anderson Live Action films or one of the animated ones with over the top choreography?
Then how come the game is legally copyrighted to Namco even on merchandise. And even on the Japanese versions of the game?Dark Souls is very popular in Japan, but its not actually a Bandai Namco series, they just publish the games for FromSoftware in the West..kinda like how Bandai Namco publishes Final Fantasy games in non-Japan Asian territories.
Good to hear, I have a nice big water bottle I drink a lot from at work.
The price is probably the best part about it, it's dirt cheap compared to other online services, I'm European so I don't know exactly how the prices compare in the US, but it cost me less to buy a whole year of online for the Switch than it'd have cost me to buy 3 months of Xbox Live Gold. Of course this might not be a pro if you come directly from the Wii U/3DS where online was free, but it's just to put things in perspective, it's so cheap that I don't see much reason to not take a punt at it for at least a month. You can also buy it with the gold coins you get from registering your games/buying from the E-Shop, so if you have enough of those you can always try it out in that way.Do any of you here have any positive things to say about the Switch's online services at the moment?

i'll need a source on this cause every japanese version of the game i've found is solely attributed to fromsoft where the western version has the bandai/namco bandai logoAnd even on the Japanese versions of the game?
Good luck. Not really sure what else to say. Many thanks to those who wished me luck for my upcoming surgery. Thankfully, even though the disease makes my vision progressively get worse, I was told it can't lead to total blindness and I don't believe there was any risks with the surgery specifically. I do recall being told I'll have to wear sunglasses when outside for a whole year after since they'll be using UV light to strengthen my cornea and the sun's rays could mess that up. There was also the option to do a cornea transplant but the doctor said it'd be messy and they'd rather not do it. Seeing as how the surgery isn't even covered by OHIP, I highly doubt a transplant would be either and it'd probably cost more AND potentially be a risk so I'm content with just going through with the surgery.
For more 'on topic' stuff, I read a few posts today where people were mentioning their favourite animals. My #1 is wolves with foxes, dogs, cats and snakes not too far behind.
Some people were also mentioning how many of their most wanted have gotten into Ultimate and for me, there's really just Isabelle and the return of Wolf though he's nothing compared to his Brawl self. Isabelle is actually a very rare case for me where I picked her up because of who she is rather than for her playstyle. I guess there's Chrom too. Didn't really care when he got announced but he's my favourite character to use since he's just Roy but with an actual sword. Granted, I also don't even have a list of characters I want in Smash anymore. Smash 4 showed me that I care way more about fun gameplay than any character in the world.
Sobble looks like he just wet the bed and is going to tell his mom.Their was a Japanese event with a demo of Sword/Shield, and they brung the bois.

I still think the game looks fun, sue me.
I have a feeling that’s what they’ll turn out to be. We’re past the stage where they’re making Pokémon out of freakin ice cream. They HAVE to be running out of ideas. Please dear god scorbunny don't turn into another dude in a costume.
I love how people love to bash the newer games with their overabundance on nonanimal Pokemon, when Gen 1 had stuff like three magnets stuck together and just a straight up Pokeball, yet nobody seems to bat an eye with those.I have a feeling that’s what they’ll turn out to be. Honestly, I thought those were weird too. But you have to admit there is a huge difference in believability betweenI love how people love to bash the newer games with their overabundance on none animal Pokemon, when Gen 1 had stuff like three magnets stuck together and just a straight up Pokeball, yet nobody seems to bat an eye with those.
Actually I find those to be equally unbelievableHonestly, I thought those were weird too. But you have to admit there is a huge difference in believability between
Is there a problem with that, tho?Honestly, I thought those were weird too. But you have to admit there is a huge difference in believability between
It doesn’t have legs. How does it move.Is there a problem with that, tho?
Idk, I've personally been a fan of the object Pokemon. Vaniluxe included.
Pokemon is already a world with ghosts, a bunch of powerful god-like beasts and so on. I don't think it's too out out of the question for stuff like sentient keys and ice cream to exist in that universe.
it levitates. It doesn’t have legs. How does it move.
I only wish there had been a gag in Detective Pikachu where someone accidentally eats one. Or tried to unlock their house with a Kefkey.it levitates.
This is Pokemon we're talking about. They like to take realism and throw it out the window.
So, like dozens of other Pokémon? It doesn’t have legs.
I don’t know. There are lots of franchises with music in Smash and nothing else. I don’t really believe it either but its not that far out there.Found the leak and the remaining part of the post, if it wasn't obvious before that the leak is fake then this is pretty much the nail in the coffin:
Like, the whole music packs are so stupid given a few of the franchises are not even in the game. Not even Mii costumes.Hero:
>Releases on July 1st
>Their stage is named Altar of the Skies.
>Brings 17 Music Tracks, three of them being remixes.
>12 DQ Spirits.
Mii Costumes:
>Sora Costume
>Crono Costume
>DQ1 Hero Armor
>Lloyd Costume
>Geno Costume
>Slime Hat
>Heartless Hat
>Noctis Costume
>Chocobo Costume
Additional 4.0.0 Content:
>Home Run Contest returns.
>Final Fantasy, along with other Square Enix franchises, get spirits added for free.
Music DLC (sold for $3.99 per pack of 10 songs):
>Square Enix Packs
>>Include songs from Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Chrono Trigger, and The World Ends With You.
>Sega Packs
>>Include songs from Sonic the Hedgehog, Bayonetta, SMT/Persona, and Jet Set Radio.
>Capcom Packs
>>Include songs from Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Ace Attorney, and Mega Man.
>Bandai Namco Packs
>>Include songs from Katamari Damacy, Tekken, Tales of, and Digimon.
>Nintendo Packs
>>Include songs from Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Kirby, Animal Crossing, and Splatoon.
I've heard rumors of Microsoft packs, though those won't come until Banjo releases, and trust me, I'll be back.
Edit: Oh and best thing of all this:
These tracks, unless they are from series already represented with a stage, will only be available on the menu and for Stage Builder stages.
Later on in the leak he says that each individual music pack, all 21 of them, costs 4 dollars each. That totals up to 84 dollars. That's more than it costs to buy the game itself, all as dlc that you can't even use on normal stages.https://smashboards.com/proxy.php?image=https%3A%2F%2Fcdn.discordapp.com%2Fattachments%2F421489983510020096%2F594273768503902234%2Fimage0.jpg&hash=b0f359796b3ec023aa639d9ac2490b87
Besides Lloyd being randomly added in there, I doubt all of this Final Fantasy content will suddenly be added.
No sane person would confuse a Vanilluxe or Klefki with inanimate objects.I only wish there had been a gag in Detective Pikachu where someone accidentally eats one. Or tried to unlock their house with a Kefkey.
Also, a tad more realism would go a long way to improve the world, immersion, the stories they tell, and players experience. Oh wait, Nintendo hates that kind of stuff.
Escuuuuuse me, her name is AmmyOkami Dog Thing
You have to be,a reaaaal special kind of stupid to mix up Vanilluxe or Klefki with actuall Ice cream or actual keysNo sane person would confuse a Vanilluxe or Klefki with inanimate objects.
Also, realism isn't required to tell a good story or make people suspend their disbeliefs. A lot of realistic and edgy media tend to fall short of resonating with people emotionally, while very unrealistic tales can.
