After Splatoon as Nintendo’s take on the shooter genre, I’ve always wondered what a Nintendo take on the MOBA genre would be.I’ll do you one better - a Smash MOBA

They would probably like to keep Smash special and instead use new characters, but still the idea of ganking someone as Kirby sounds fun.
Popping in to say YES PLEASEI’ll do you one better - a Smash MOBA
heroes of the storm's business model was good but it's also what probably brought about the game's demise seeing as no one ever bought anythingnintendo: "nintendo all-stars MOBA"

would you like Okamiden to be ported to switch?I just beat Okami, and I got all of the stray beads and karmic transformers in the process. (Stray beads are kind of like the Korok seeds, only less numerous, less tedious, and with an actual reward for getting all of them, while the karmic transformers are alternate costumes for the main character)
I feel like anything I could say about the game has already been said, but it's a work of art, and it makes me want to sit down and complete more Zelda games. (the only ones that I've beaten are the original and Majora's Mask, from what I recall - I've played most of the others, but I usually hit a point where I lose my motivation to continue)
I haven't played it, or even looked into the gameplay yet, but sure, why not? You know what they say - the more, the merrier!would you like Okamiden to be ported to switch?
You have chosen Scorbunny over Sobble? My dudes
I record from home myself (duh) so if you need help with how to lay things out I may be able to help. Good luck!My Youtube channel gained 1800 subscribers and I got the paperwork to apply for a loan for studio quality recording equipment to begin recording from home.
Also I got two headshots with one Embar shot in Gears last night and that felt really ****ing good.
ngl hots started getting a bit funky the moment they added a HOTS-original character to the rosterheroes of the storm's business model was good but it's also what probably brought about the game's demise seeing as no one ever bought anything
like how FEH started getting bad when they added more OCs, who arent good like Hríd and good ol Alphonse, in to the gamengl hots started getting a bit funky the moment they added a HOTS-original character to the roster
I haven't played the game in a while, so this is news to me. Which character was that?ngl hots started getting a bit funky the moment they added a HOTS-original character to the roster
orphea, daughter of the raven lord guy who announces in a few of the mapsI haven't played the game in a while, so this is news to me. Which character was that?
I had stopped playing by the time this happened but they really shot themselves in the foot by introducing their OCs with the edgy anime-looking goth girl
Wow that is a really boring design. Just feels like an executive said "make anime goth girl".
Is there a point during the game past which not all stray beads will be available anymore? I remember trying to do a 100% run a while ago, but reaching a section of the game near the end where a change occurs (permanent until the end) and after which I wasn't sure that all the beads would still be availableI just beat Okami, and I got all of the stray beads and karmic transformers in the process. I can verify that this is a valid reason for learning a musical instrument.Part of me wants to pick up the saxophone just so I can learn how to play "Tomorrow is Mine" from the Bayonetta soundtrack.
Sakurai: Let them fightPushDustIn is translating Sakurai's column on Hero and Banjo & Kazooie coming to Smash. He prompted it a couple hours ago by stating Banjo & Kazooie's inclusion was difficult due to the rivalry between Nintendo and Microsoft, and how console wars could be a good thing. Can't wait to read the details!

Somehow not surprised that much, I was wondering how they could've give them 4 different recoveries.
Ew **** RNG get it away from me
imagine if your available monado arts randomly cycled every time you held down neutral BEw **** RNG get it away from me
It blows my mind that people feel this way. Like, Mario Kart is SSB Brawl. Here I am criticizing Brawl, and people are not only stating they're okay with it, but they're defending it. "No, don't take away my random tripping, it's fun with friends!" "Don't make the gameplay faster!" "You want more balanced items? Why? I play with max items, assist trophies and poke balls only." Can you really not imagine a better game? Can you not imagine Mario Kart's Melee? Both fun and fair? It's been a few years since I played ModNation Racers, so I couldn't possibly come up with more specific criticisms. But I do remember just not enjoying the feel of the driving. Which I admit, is entirely a subjective idea that I absolutely cannot substantiate with any direct evidence. But the basic drifting and driving just never clicked when I played it, and if that doesn't happen, then I just don't enjoy the racer and I'm unlikely to put lots of time into the game to learn those mechanics. Especially with arcade racers. My mark of a good arcade racer is if the game clicks within the first hour. If it can't do that, I'm not going to enjoy it.
I think there's an absolute joy to randomness and chaotic circumstances in video games. You get insanely hillarious moments with your friends when everything starts going wrong and the perfect storm affects one person or another. Yes, there's rage to the person suffering, but there's only so much that can be blamed on another person since it's mostly random, so it's not lasting or deep rage. And it can happen to you or anyone else at any time. It adds a layer of tension to the game that you otherwise wouldn't get. It makes you make more split second decisions that can have major consequences and completely change the moment to moment gameplay. And I think there's almost certainly a skill involved with managing randomness. Randomness means you'll never fully be in control, but then it comes down to recognizing what you can control, how to manage the resources you have, and what to prioritize in the moment to moment gameplay (Such as Assist Trophies, Poke Balls, and Smash Balls). Fights can often times be less about hitting your opponent and more about keeping them from getting something.
I love randomness because it adds variation to gameplay at the casual level. I don't feel the need to compete every time I play a game. I may be competitive in the moment, but it's also super refreshing to play something where it doesn't matter as much and you can easily blame randomness on your failures. In a 1-on-1 match in Smash, it's all on you and your ability. Sometimes that lessened pressure just makes the experience more fun. I'm not good enough to compete at any high level play of most video games anyway, so I might as well have some fun. Especially in a game like Mario Kart that acknowledges exactly what it is and doesn't deviate from it.
Plus, there's just so many moments where I've laughed my *** off at the absurdity of the random situations. 3 different Pokemon attacking everyone, a Sheriff shooting, and everyone trying to escape lava only to be hit by a moving crate that was actually a bomb. It's just a completely different game in that moment and it becomes a source of entertainment. Or the dreaded, lighting, blue shell, red shell, green shell of Mario Kart. There's a joy to seeing randomness play out in my mind given the unlikely probabilities for these events to occur simultaneously in a specific sequence.
Also, doesn't Mario Kart 8 have a Mushroom only play mode? That might be more up your alley in the future. And Mario Party is so much worse than any other random game. The core of the game comes from rolling dice, at least the others rely upon at least having some control among chaos.
It is interesting to hear this, especially contrasting to Phil Spencer saying it was an easy deal on his end. Makes me think it's more some people at Nintendo who were against it. However, that could have been an issue before, perhaps recently things have changed (Banjo & Kazooie made it in, after all).I'm kinda scared this may be bad news for Steve / Minecraft in a potential second Fighters Pass or the next Smash title.
Hopefully, since Microsoft is much more lenient with Mojang and Minecraft - it already being on other systems and all - it won't be as much of a problem, however I didn't realize it would be a problem anyway. This sounds very dumb given their apparent relationship.
It could mean that the spells were chosen at random during his development process. If they were being randomly selected during gameplay that could screw up recovering.
can't wait for hero to come out and be anywhere from F to S tier depending on RNG
