For mammals? The Fox. Foxes are cool and elegant, and their intelligence really stands out as one of their greatest traits. They really shine for me.

For birds? The Penguin, because Penguins are awesome. Self-explanatory.

And yes, I liked Opossums before it was cool. Having a user here themed entirely around them had no impact on my love of those creatures whatsoever. Been a fan of them since childhood.

I always hated running into those in the 100 mario mode (or whatever it was called lol).

My one concern is that apparently multiplayer mode selects levels from more than just those specifically tagged multiplayer, meaning that you might get chucked into a single player level not really suited for four players

Vice versa, hoping that the Endless Mario mode excludes multiplayer levels, some of which could be impossible to complete with only one player (don't think this will be an issue though as that would be a hell of an oversight)

I know it would probably be a licensing nightmare, but I'm a little sad the amiibo costumes are gone in MM2.

I was already planning a course where you play as Pokemon Trainer and go on an adventure "capturing" Goombas and Koopa Troopas.
