I remember reading in elementary school that they'd have cloned mammoths by 2015.
So, yeah, still waiting on that.

I love Behemoth!

Ditto here, certainly one of my favs. We need more mammalian kaijus.

I also have a headcanon that Behemoth was the source legend of the Mapinguari and guardian of El Dorado, which was for its time like what was supposedly Atlantis shown in the movie one of the more advanced civilizations.

You know I said yesterday I was gonna keep casual Megumin as my main pfp for a while.

Then I saw the next trailer for Scarlet Nexus which looks great. Quickly becoming one of my anticipated games so yeah I'll switch.

One animal I wish I could see back is the Great Auk. I know it's of the less known or discussed:

They were apparently the first to be named "Penguin" prior to their extinction.

I decided to search more about them after finding them in plenty of locations while playing my favorite AC game. I even got pretty lucky of having gotten a plushie of it in Mexico of all places (when they were native of places like Canada, and the like, but not Mexico):

When I saw a video of what happened to them and the last pair, I swear I held the plushie close and I couldn't help but to shed tears. :'C

So I bought a lot of stuff yesterday. About 124 dollars. Then I pulled a Collector's Rare from Toon Chaos. It's worth 140 dollars. A nice trade-off, not that I plan to sell it or anything, but still.

Also picked up other various Yugioh cards, the Phantom Beasts' Structure Deck, the original Voltron series on DVD, and due to only having the VHS, I picked up the DVD of Mighty Moprhin' Power Rangers The Movie. In addition, thanks to Disney+ having neither Hulk movie, I picked up the 2008 one.

:o That's awesome to hear! I mean, I think I learned about their existence like, 5 or so years ago. And I wish there was more stuff about them to the similar level that other prehistoric creatures have.

:'C I know, hearing what happened moved my heartstrings rather quickly, that is why I adore that plushie and just looking for them in the game. Great to see that Ubi did their homework. In the game you cannot hurt them. Also, remember the story project I told you about? I couldn't help but to even put Auks there, they are just so precious.

Scientist have been trying for a while, however there's a few issues holding them back.

The first one is that DNA doesn't preserve very well. Even the best preserved mammoth tissue usually turns out to have had damaged DNA. Then there's the fact that cloning itself is pretty difficult in mammals - the few mammals who are successfully cloned tend to die young. And then there's the fact that the baby wouldn't even be a full mammoth. It'd be a mammoth/elephant hybrid.

I'm honestly pretty doubtful we'll be seeing any mammoth clones any time soon. Overly excited researchers and journalist around the world have been claiming to have had breakthroughs for years only for nothing to come of it.

And let's not get started on the ethical issues raised by performing experiments like this on creatures who are likely as intelligent as mammoths were. There's also a lot of people who think it's a good idea to release mammoths into the wild for some reason. I'm not an expert but I'm concerned that the climate and ecosystems have changed enough that releasing them into the wild might do more harm the good, if they could even survive in todays climate at all.

x'D I think it was China, though... But that still surprise me, because they do really good stuff over there. I dunno, maybe it's more like Ubisoft's Karma acting up. They have already gone through a lot, and even if a lot of it it's REALLY bad, I will still appreciate their unintentional hilarity in their games and merch.

But waiting for the game's random number generator to give me the right conditions is not. I'm ready to put the game down. Just let me catch it already!

Ain't gonna lie but I expected The Avengers game to be a pretty disappointing game since before that trailer at E3 trailer last year. Crystal Dynamics just seemed to be the wrong team for it to me and I just think they would have been better focusing on one character.

I had a really bad feeling about it honestly. Not to mention the stuff like this after. Felt like the game "was forced" to be made.

If you're willing to use a little exploit, you can change the date on your Switch to change the weather in game. That's how I caught my first Dreepy.
