With Ono leaving and the decisions that have been made by Street Fighter V Season V, I think the chances are looking up. I tried putting together a roster for a "Darkstalkers 4" game, but I very quickly... ran out of characters.

Well an interesting fact that I recently found out about F.A.N.G's concept:

"The secret of secrets is that F.A.N.G’s concept was actually of a character named "XXsuXXXX"¹ in the aborted NEW VAMPIRE"

It does make me wonder exactly how far in development was this new Darkstalkers iteration was in the works before it got cancelled and what sort of monster F.A.N.G's concept was originally meant to be.

Anyways despite all the mishaps Yoshinori Ono made during his time with Capcom's fighting game division from Street Fighter X Tekken to Street Fighter V, I still regard Ono as the man who brought the revival of the Street Fighter franchise with IV. Like you said with Ono leaving, I am eager to see what the future holds in store for their fighting game division as they do need a new direction. With that, I do hope they can reconsider making a new Darkstalkers game as I do feel that their characters certainly deserve much more recognition.

I beat all of the story modes for Skullgirls. Out of all of them, Robo Fortune was my favourite in terms of the story. Not sure who my favourite was to play as; probably either Filia, Valentine, or Big Band.

The DLC characters seemed to have more detailed story modes (longer cutscenes, a more fleshed-out story), though it seemed like their AI was much harder. I played through the story mode on easy (since I had enough trouble with the tutorial, and there was a significant difficulty spike when I was fighting one of the six DLC characters compared to when I fought any of the characters who were playable in the base game.

I've heard it's pretty good but something about it looks off. I've watched the other 3 Isekai Quartet anime and at least enjoyed them all so can't get my head around to watching it for some reason.

Rebecca Sugar (Steven Universe) and Noelle Stevenson (She-Ra reboot) give me life. I've also heard The Owl House has great representation, I'll have to check that one out once my boyfriend and I finish She-Ra and get further in Naruto. I could almost cry, knowing that LGBT+ characters are finally getting good representation.

tbh I’ve never had any experience with LGBTQ people(unless you count furries cough cough but I don’t) so I generally try to avoid it when I draw, because that’s the fastest way to start the kinda controversy that I’m trying to avoid(specifically the kinda stuff I did on my old account)

Even then I’m still in the “drawing random ideas and seeing what works” phase so it’s not like I’m never going to try it: just that I would only do so if or when I fully understand it.

And from reading them, I think you have. I enjoy reading your characters and stuff, have to remember as well it is still a kind of early stage for you so you can hopefully change it when it feels like you are improving. I'm thinking of having one of my characters have deep feelings for someone of the same sex but might not go as far as that.

Still I wish I can get a lot better than I can at the moment and write and wire my brain better on it. Just feels hard with my personal issues.

There's nothing wrong with writing non-LGBT+ characters if that's what you're comfortable with! If you'd like to write some in the future, read/watch content made by LGBT+ people. You'll get there eventually as you gain research and life experience

Today was a really good day:

News about a possible upcoming Sakura Wars Game

Saw the new Phineas & Ferb movie

My internet crush finally joined my Discord friends' server.

I had the best lunch in a good while

I made a marathon of Phineas & Ferb episodes

One of my favourite YouTube animators released a Gameplay trailer of the Game they are working on

And I had a great dinner

Here's hoping tomorrow goes at least half as well.

And as Irepan said, Ramen Tengoku 's new pfp is very epic.

Alright, random game pitch:

A 1v1 3d character fighter, but... instead of having a moveset, each character has a unique deck that can be customized to your benefit, with character specific cards(and character specific “finale” finisher cards) and then generic stuff like weapons. Gameplay would be turn based with multiple chances of interrupting your opponent and responding to things they do, not unlike how Yugioh does it with chain links.


That’s the main premsie, and while I haven’t actually done any work on a theoretical game, I have character concepts ready to go and some ideas for the actual gameplay and balancing.

So thankfully he seems to be ok, but for whatever reason just deleted some accounts besides the YouTube and Discord ones.

Whatever happened, I just hope he's doing well enough.
