To color models, you have to click on 'material properties' (the one second to the bottom on the right-side menu), then click on the '+' button, then you have created a material and finally, change the color in the surface section.

Now, you won't see any color yet, what you should do is press 'z' and click on 'rendered' and now you can see the color on your model.

Thanks, I got it now! Now to push more buttons and see what happens....
