Just found an old game I played a good while ago that I genuinely enjoyed.

...What’s the chances of a remake or sequel ever coming out for X-Men: Destiny?
This is one of the big 3 from my childhood.

what about these birbs?
There was a problem fetching the tweet

Rubber ducks and Kazooie aren't real birds.

But also, for some reason, this has never applied to Ducks or Penguins. Every day common birds you see in the street? Terrifying. Parrots? Plotting to murder you in your sleep. Ostriches? Abominations sent from hell as satan's emissaries. Flamingos? Responsible for all of earth's natural disasters. Geese? Ted Bundy was a goose in a human suit. Ducks and Penguins? Pretty chill.

Holy crap the new update to Pokemon Masters is fantastic.

LOTS of free gems for signing in, they've more than doubled the daily gem rewards (30 -> 80), purchasable gem bundles that give increased daily log in rewards, can now exchange in-game currency for useful items, can exchange items for 5* move power ups (basically free duplicate pulls), can exchange items for in-game currency, team type bonuses, new equip-able 2* items for the first time since December (Co-Op isn't dead!), the 3rd Fairy Type sync pair,

And none of this even includes the first year anniversary stuff! All that's left is Gen 8 content and customizable protagonists and that'll cover the current wish lists of most players.

:088:
They gave us a lot of QOL improvements in this update. Which is really nice to see that they are listening. Those power up candies are going to be so great for sync grid builds. Now you just need one of a unit and just save for the candy and your good to go. The free gems are pretty great too. Although I may end up spending them all on the summer banners, or the next Synga Suit banner, or if they last that long, the anniversary lol. The new training area replacement seems pretty solid too though. We also get sync orbs from the free scout now as well as from NPCs which helps a lot.

So been playing Astral Chain...apart from the camera that's pissing me off, the game is super fun, albeit button mashy.

...and I'm kind of opening up to the idea of Akira Howard being in Smash. Seems a rather interesting dynamic almost like a combination of Ice Climbers, Rosalina, and a bit of Min Min with a touch of Bayonetta....which now that I think about it, sounds ABSOLUTELY FRIKKING TERRIFYING!!!
I have been replaying Astral Chain again as well as Freedom Planet.
I have discovered things I missed the first time through both games.

I had tons of birbs growing up. They were all good boys, one of them liked watching tv and screamed when his favorite show wouldn't come on when he expected it too.

I know this is a late response to the bird conversation but I wanted to share this

I remember back when I was like... what... 7? I fantasized alot about having a pet penguin, in true 10-year old fashion. Eventually it became part of my daily thoughts and again in true 7 year old fashion literally the only thing I talked about.... until my parents popped in and crushed that dream by telling me you can't legally own penguins as pets. :(

After all this time, I'm finally done with my One Piece binge-watching... with all the episodes that were featured on Netflix that is. I'll continue watching the rest of the adventure through Funimation's site.

In the meantime, I'm gonna finish up Hunter X Hunter and start up on Jojo, Food Wars, Little Witch Academia, and the Seven Deadly Sins.

My little brother has been watching those crappy animations that are 100% meant to attract a certain audience... and I'm just sitting here imagining what kind of crack the animators were on in making these videos.

A sequel seems unlikely. Silicon Knights, the developer, sued Epic Games because the Unreal Engine was not working for them. The whole thing is detailed here.

While I don't understand all of the legal terminology, it went so poorly for Silicon Knights that they were forced to recall and destroy unsold copies of X-Men Destiny and Too Human (both of which were made with the Unreal Engine), and they shut down a few years later.

It's a shame; I really liked Eternal Darkness and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, though I haven't played any of their other games.

Just gonna post this anyway. Tagging Wademan94 Wademan94 and Metal Shop X Metal Shop X

The plot is almost identical to the comic except... extended, and without all of the "genisis wave resets the universe" stuff at the begining. It is now set post-Sonic Forces and post-Mega Man 11. Also, Sonic Mania is no longer an alternate dimension. I don't care SEGA, it's my game and that made no sense. Instead of just wandering around Skull Egg Zone looking for the robotiscized masters, each one now inhabitants their own stage. This works out perfectly as the Chaos Emeralds and Super Sonic didn't really work into the actual plot of Lost World and Forces, so the explenation that one has been missing in Mega Man's dimension since Generations works out fine.

Mega Man's gameplay is Mega Man 11. Sonic's gameplay is traditional 2D Sonic, but with 3D graphics and modern Sonic character designs. Beating Robotiscized Masters grants Mega Man their weapon ans grants Sonic a thematically appropriate wisp. Level design is different for each character.

There is an intro stage, 8 Robotiscized Master stages, and then a penultimate stage before entering the Wily Egg. If you are playing as Sonic, you progress through all the levels in a linear order and the Wily Egg only has two acts with two bosses in each. But if you play as Mega Man you can do the 8 Robotiscized Master stages in any order after the intro and before the final levels, with each Wily Egg boss heading it's own stage. You will notice the other hero traveling in the background as you play and effecting the environment you platform through. And if you are a keen observer, you will realize that the order Sonic goes through the stages reveals the ideal boss order. Each level has a mini-boss which is a combination of one of Eggman's robots and one of Wily's.

And now, the stages and their respective bosses.

Intro Stage: Cut Warehouse (Mega Man)/Green Hill Zone (Sonic)
  • Egg Wily Capsule H (Wily Capsule 7 + Egg Mobile H)

A lot of Snow animals are surprisingly pretty friendly towards humans since wthey are aware that most of us aren't predators towards them.

So what have I missed today?

Just wanted a sort of day break from the forums. Nothing much to say honestly,

How's my favourite crowd of people?

Holy **** crime dilemmas, physical abuse, suicidal attemps, emotional tension, most people doubting you as a well person, strange friendships and god knows how more I'm missing.

This game is an emotional rollercoaster, and a good one at that. I really like the writing in this.

The Gameplay is also quite addictive, and I appreciate the presence of fast travelling.

Really invested so far overall.

Could be from Super Mario Advance and edited, not sure if these have been confirmed to be from the SM64 leak or not.
That Tweet was taken down, so you were right. Seems they didn't even use Charles Martinet voice clips at that point in development so they just shared those stock clips from a sound library.

There was a problem fetching the tweet

Among all the "L is Real" memes, It's worth a mention that we already had documented info regarding Luigi's playability in SM64. Ultimately, it's not surprising that data of Luigi was discovered in this mega leak among other things.

Miyamoto mentions this in a 1996 Developer Interview:
https://shmuplations.com/mario64/

Luigi absence was mainly due to memory issues. Years later in an Iwata Asks segment Yoshiaki Koizumi reveals this:
http://iwataasks.nintendo.com/interviews/#/wiiu/super-mario-3d-world/0/6

A few months ago data miners found some leftover code in the final game that belonged to a second player struct and a second model ID (Luigi).

TCRF is also currently compiling all the findings on the Prerelease section, so you all can follow the documentation as more stuff is unearthed.
https://tcrf.net/Prerelease:Super_Mario_64_(Nintendo_64)#July_25th.2C_2020_Source_Code_Leaks

All in all, still a cool coincidence.

A big bird discussion started by non other than Snake herself. that's pretty much it.
