Would you give Mighty No. 9 another shot if a new title was released?

Also, separate thought. I've heard people who were (rightfully) upset with that game claim that the Gunvolt series is Mega Man's true spiritual successor. How accurate is that?
Probably, though they would first have to iron out development issues; I heard recently one of the biggest internal issues was that Inti Creates had no idea what they were doing with Unreal Engine 3. Focus on a single/similar systems at first, focus on the core game before extra modes, etc.

I don't blame people for being rightfully upset, especially 3DS/Vita backers, but I do think there is still potential for a Mighty No. 9 sequel to turn out something on par with the Mega Man franchise nor do I despise Inafune. Probably in the minority, but I was not offended by the "anime fan on prom night" joke.

Gunvolt is okay. The movement is very Mega Man X, but the rest of the gameplay never really caught my attention or felt as good as Zero/ZX personally. It gets it's roots from Mega Man X/Zero but I'm hard pressed to call it a spiritual successor.

I just got both mega man classic legacy collections for under $20. Wish me luck! Any hints and tips are appreciated.
1 - Magnet Beam is amazing and makes platforming challenges/Ice Man's stage a joke. Most bosses can be beaten Buster Only without too much effort; Elec Man being the exception. Fire Man's attack causes fire to appear underneath where you lost stood/blame sprite flickering.

2 - Don't get a game over. You'll lose all of your E-Tanks if you do (unless you're playing the Wily Wars version). Be careful with weapon usage in Wily's Castle. On default difficulty, this is the hardest of the original six games IMO; is certainly the most punishing game.

3 - Weapons aren't anything to write home about, but a pretty straightforward game. If you want the Rush Jet quick, beat Needle Man first; his pattern is similar to Metal Man's. Max health with a turbo controller can beat Hard/Gemini without effort. Snake is probably the easiest to beat of the Snake/Gemini/Needle order.

4 - Mostly straightforward, but probably my least favorite of the original six. Good luck beating Drill Man's stage without Skull Barrier. Careful when jumping from screen to screen in Dive Man's stage, spikes are placed everywhere.

5 - Probably the closest Mega Man has come to Mario. Easiest game to buster only in the series/honestly the (Super) Charge Shot is OP; in-game lore says Dr. Cossack upgraded it. Weapons aren't great but Gravity Hold/Gyro Attack/Star Crash have uses. Power Stone is surprisingly effective when on ladders or attacking enemies at odd angle. Rush Coil is different, instead when you jump on Rush, he'll jump into the air allowing you to then jump off of him.

6 - Wind Man is probably the best place to start so you don't miss the hidden exits. Is the only game where you can't jump cancel out of a slide for some strange reason. 2nd easiest game to buster only.

7 - Underrated. Freeze/Burst/Cloud/Junk and then Turbo (use the Super Adapter)/Slash/Spring/Shade if you want to avoid backtracking for items. Burst is easier to beat Buster only than using his weaknesses. Use a walkthrough for Rush Search items as otherwise it's mostly a guessing game. You can access the shop using the Select button, though don't buy anything until you find the discount item in Spring Man's stage. You can access the shop in-between Wily Castle stages.

8 - Laser Shot makes certain mini-bosses easy, though Arrow Shot is better for dealing damage. Astro Crush gives you temporary invincibility and will freeze you in the air when jumping, very useful when fighting the Wily Machine. Wily 1 is annoying but short.

9 - Best set of weapons in the franchise/on par with X1. Jewel Satellite makes part 1 of Concrete/Wily 1 Stages a joke, and is good for farming items in certain areas. Hornet Chase lets you pick up items from far or behind walls. There's a hidden E-Tank in the second part of Tornado Man's stage behind a cloud, use Rush Coil. Tornado Man's rotating platforms take practice but you can stay on top at all times if you mini-jump on them. Laser Trident pierces shields and is more or less a Charge Shot replacement.

10 - I generally suck at 10 and the weapons are 3/4/5/6 tier. Wily 1 is the hardest stage in the game and will probably require a lot of E-Tanks.

First time exercising in the gym since lockdown started.

I had to use lighter weights since I lost some muscle, couldn't do all the exercises I wanted because of time and social distancing (there was a guy next to the equipment I wanted to use but he didn't bother using that equipment).

I'll probably have to change my exercise now so that I can actually finish it in time.

Still stand by my case about post burying for me every time I talk about anime. Actually it puts me off sometimes.

Yeah it seems the anime fans aren't as here, no offence to the crowd. Or surprisingly I'm in the higher number of stuff I've watched. 41 anime. Then again most were just ok or I blank watched them. Maybe about 15 I would recommend?
I actually watched over three times as many anime. I haven't seen a lot of the stuff you talk about though. Maybe I'll watch some of it at some point.

I just had one of the most sweating conversations in my life with welfare benefits. Part of me feels like I almost saw death. I was so nervous about messing it up but have a sigh of relief for now.

Yeah, I'm a lot more into slice of life anime and such and always have a list of watched on me.

Need to start watching more stuff despite having almost 50 anime I'm into.

Yup, and tough too.
Well then, you should celebrate It with something cool.

Wish I could make a cake for you or something like that, but shipping taxes in the Canary Islands are too high and the cake would easily worsen during the travel.

I’m not too sure about anything like a cake, haha. Only took me a few days.

I remembered that time when Mighty No. 9 became the largest funded kickstarter campaign which had a lot of people anticipated until a series of bad decisions lead to its disappointing outcome.

One of the many benefits to knowing the deeper secrets of graphic design is it makes making thumbnails that much easier. :p Now making those thumbnails look good using my phone's shiity built in editor(can't even bold words, only has 3 fonts, etc) is another thing, but still doable.

Many fighting game companies are going to make a livestream this weekend to announce stuff they seemingly planned for EVO.

The date of the event where I live is 1am of August 1st.

Cool. Can’t read the article though. It’s in Spanish.

Damn, people really don't want Brie Larson to play Samus in a Metroid Movie.
I mean, could be neat, though I’m a bit neutral on the decision personally. I don’t know her acting capabilities (Or nothing about her for that matter) so I really can’t say if I’m sure she could do it or not.

According to this, it's at 9 AM JST, which is 8 pm Eastern time the night before, I believe. (I'm just going by Google here) So it seems like it will be at 8 pm on Friday by my time.

The Fighting EX Layer people?

Oh my gooooooood! That game rocks! Really needs more love. Would love more content but I would settle for something as small as a switch port.
