Many fighting game companies are going to make a livestream this weekend to announce stuff they seemingly planned for EVO.

The date of the event where I live is 1am of August 1st.

Neato. I'm gonna assume no Smash Bros for obvious reasons.

Personal thoughts about her character aside, I honestly don’t think she’d pull it off. There are much better choices for that character.

There seem to be rumours about Yakuza in Tekkén, which if true would be really hype.

I mean for one she doesn't exactly fit Samus's figure.

Samus is attractive but tough, neither things Brie can pull off. lol

Yeah, there are a lot of rumours going around about Roshi being the Next addition to DBFZ.

Personally wondering how will he play, as I haven't seen anything Dragon Ball related in a long while.

If they actually add Kiriyu (or others) to Tekken 7 I will ***.

Along with him, my most wanted would definitely be Kunimitsu, Roger Jr, Alex, Ogre, Pac-Man (look to Street Fighter x Tekken), Crash Bandicoot, and Solid Snake.

Likely just taking the ENG side a bit to get setup. It's not something I would worry about tbh. I'm sure even if(and that's a big if considering the global nature of Fighting games and the companies showcasing off these announcements) the stream is JP only we would still have a translation team ready to translate on the spot. I would know, considering how Cardfight VG does news.

I tried creating other usernames and passwords for it, but the result is always the same.

For the fighting game roundtable, it sounds like it's a discussion between fighting game developers, so it doesn't necessarily mean that we're going to get trailers there since we didn't get them at EVO.

I don't want people to go into this expecting that we're guaranteed to get half a dozen trailers with exciting reveals, only for it to be an hour of Japanese developers talking about how fighting games are made, or eSports, or other related topics.

I've had that happen to me before and it's horrifically annoying.

A fix that I've done in the past is create a whole new email and use that to login. Start fresh.

I just don't see Samus like that. There's a hidden vulnerability and loneliness to Samus's character and I'm not sure if Larson can do that well.

I just really don't want Samus to be bang bang shooter mcgirl son. It would be a huge misinterpretation of her character. Though I suppose that's mainly on the writers.

Since Tekken came up I figured I’d post some old T7 trailer ideas I had come up with on another sight

Trailer one: We open of a new stage set in the jungle (Jurassic Era Research Facility esque). We see Roger beating up on a training dummy before striking an arrogant victory pose. Three scientists bring his next opponent out with a collar and sticks. Alex jr. So to speak (We switched over to Roger Jr. a while ago but not Alex). He beats up on him for a bit in a gameplay showcase of both characters. When we cut back to cinematic, we see a rustling in the bushes. Just as Alex is about to deliver the finishing blow, he gets kicked in the face by the next newcomer. Crash Bandicoot! It cuts back to gameplay and shows off Crash’s moveset before showing his victory pose.

Trailer 2: We open on the new Tojo Clan HQ stage and Kazuma Kiryu, doing business at his desk (I’ve never played Yakuza so I don’t know if this fits. Please Correct). His guards are taken down by a shadowy figure revealed to be Kunimitsu, here to assassinate the yakuza chairman. We show gameplay which showcases both characters movesets. The match is interrupted by a shot from the shadows which Kiryu dodges. A figure approaches from the darkness, Solid Snake. Talking to his radio he says “Colonel! I’ve been made!”. “Then you better hurry up! Finish the mission and get out of there before you cause a scene”. “Too late for that”. We cut to gameplay showcasing Snake’s moveset before showing Snake’s victory pose and cutting to black.

Bonus trailer: We see a lineup of most of the characters in a black void, all ready for battle. A flash of text says “Who among you is ready” before we see a large figure crash onto the floor. Text again “to challenge”. The figure rises up before stepping out of the darkness. “THE OGRE”. Ending with a splash screen showing Ancient Ogre and the other 6 characters.

I still don’t know if what I wrote for Kiryu fits or not.

I mean it's something. It shows that the devs are at least trying to be transparent about news in this trying time. Corona still is a threat(although in recent times people seem to have forgotten that somewhat) so it's very difficult to even organize this kind of massive potential news dump. There's alot of behind the scene details(like editing trailers, getting voice overs for translations, etc) that is easy to do in person but extremely tedious and difficult when you're forced to work away from a irl location.

I don't know, Larson's acting on the first half of Captain Marvel is pretty close to what you've described and I think she did a great job at that part of her character.

I agree with Samus being a tricky character to play, though.

This all depends on how much of a **** the writers give about the source material, which is what people should be worried about in the unlikely case this Metroid Movie happens.
