I'm pretty close to finishing my conversion of Nerf Gun wall to card game wall and honestly I'm considering buying unopened deck boxes and sleeves just to display them because why not :drshrug:

So I just saw the Halo Infinite gameplay demo and that reminds me: Wasn't there some leak that said Halo Infinite was gonna be open world or some ****?

I was going to watch the Xbox conference in hopes of hearing any new studios they bought. Halo looks great and that's from someone who isn't into the series. And The Outer Worlds is getting an expansion.

Still I don't know which console I'm gonna go for the next gen. Probably PS5 but wait a year until life becomes more certain. I'm trying to force myself not get into games as much. Only games I buy, I complete kinda thing.

Going to PS5 maybe next year.

The lack of strong retrocompatibility at launch worried me as my parents want me to sell my PS4 if I want to get the PS5 and I don't want to lose any way to play Sakura Wars PS4.

So in the meantime I'll pick the Series X for Fable, Halo, Game Pass and some other games.

I'm probably getting PS5. Falcom, God of War and Horizon is enough. Really worried about Japan Studio though since it seems like PlayStation wants to bury Gravity Rush and forget it never existed, when honestly it's probably their best first party game this gen along with Ghost and God of War.

I did get something good the past hour. It just wasn't announced on the showcase and that's The Outer Worlds expansion (still Obsidian).

I do agree on being a bit worried about the launch lineups. I'm going to wait about a year out or so. Life is a bit too uncertain for me to invest in getting one.

I went back to watch what I missed, though I skimmed through some games like State of Decay 3. The Psychonauts 2 trailer was still the highlight for me.


Halo Infinite looks solid - it doesn't shake things up too much, but it looks like it will be fun. I'm not sure what was added in Halo 5, but the grappling hook and map look like new features, and they'll definitely be useful.

Everwild seems like it might have some of that Rare spark, but it's hard to say for sure with no gameplay. (the trailer was good, at least)

The biggest issue with that whole X-Box presentation was the lack of gameplay for a lot of these titles. Normally, the gameplay isn't 100% ready, so they use beautiful graphics to cover it up, but even then... a lot of the games weren't visually impressive.

And nost of the ones that did show gameplay looks... genericish.

Noticed It the most with shooters, tbh.

But every non-shooter looked fine I guess.

It's seeing something like with the shooters though that makes me have this sort of the worry about the games industry. Like it's reaching a sort of singularity type of thing and it's not diversifying or risk taking as much as it used it to.

I know it's 100% wrong but it's always there in the back of the head.

This is completely normal. There's no reason to announce the price of hardware until they can also open pre-orders. Nintendo didn't announce the Switch's price until less than 2 months before release either.

May be able to afford the 500€.

Maybe I am able to even find It cheaper here which is good.

The problem normally would be the games, but just with the 15€ of Gamepass and maybe the 60€ of Halo Infinite I can stand well enough for a while.

Unfortunately you are correct.

Reminds me of a conversation I had with a tutor of mine a few years back when he asked about my liking to get lesser known games compared to COD and GTA etc. "I like games that are different and change your perspective on things" was all I said.

In an ideal world games like Gravity Rush and Ico would sell far more using those two games as an example because of my personal connection and love for them.
