Were there any changes from the Switch version? It looked the same to me.
It looked like it - they specifically said it was XI S (the definitive edition that's on the Switch), and they showed the 2D gameplay and the time travel side missions.

It's only the start of the pre-show; there's about half an hour until the main event. They announced a game called Exomecha, which looked like a first person shooter that has some elements of Transformers.

And The best thing is they are getting DQXI S instead of regular DQXI like PS4.
Which is quite exciting as the Game in 4K 60fps has to be gorgeus.

Yep, they said that in the announcement. (before this, I think the closest that they got was Blue Dragon, another JRPG with Dragon in the name that has art by Akira Toriyama)

Between this and Smash, Square is REALLY pushing Dragon Quest.

Yeah, I agree.
Glad Square Enix is pushing a lot for the series in the West after so long.
May rebuy the Game for Xbox Series X if I like the other reveals for the system.

I am so excited because DQXI S was my favourite Game of the 2010s decade and the idea of playing It at 4K 60fps really hypes me up due to how beautiful the Game is.

I wasn't paying much attention to It because It is still the preshow but someone at a Discord server tagged me about them showing DQXI S and I got really hyped.

A part of me wants to rag on Square for making PS4 owners buy the same game twice instead of just including the definitive content as DLC, but the target audience are probably the same people who bought Persona 5 twice.

It's going to Xbox Game Pass which supposedly helped the Yakuza series take off on Xbox.
So who knows, maybe Game Pass will do the same for Dragon Quest.

Because of that I'm expecting the new Adventures Of Dai game and DQXII to come to Switch too.
