As for old games, I feel I've been lucky with the ones I've been searching for. Except lately I see a lot of factory sealed ones for several hundred dollars. I want the game to play it, not to display it.

Oh, okay. Just watched it, there’s nothing too bad. Just kinda sad there’s yet another PS exclusive spider man game, but I can live with that.

I feel the exact way. I’m talking games over 20 yrs old. They always say ‘collectors edition’ and ‘rare’ and I know full well it’s pretty much the same thing with a sticker that hasn’t been opened. Sometimes, I can’t even find a certain game. Try finding Revelations: Persona for PSP. First results always gonna be SMT Persona for PSP and seconds always gonna be rare collectors edition Revelations for not PSP. It gets so annoying. My only chance of finding a specific game would be to just go to a garage sale and pray, but obviously I can’t do that right now.

As a collector, education and patience is the key. How badly do you want the game? Is it for an easily pirated system? How often do listings show up? Is the seller using stock/stolen photos and what's their rating? I've lost a lot of money in the past to pirates or just outright not doing my homework.

Also it never hurts to ask the seller if they'd be willing to put up a Make Offer option and eBay Bucks is a nice program to take advantage of. I generally don't buy anything unless a sale is going on.

There are other options than eBay, but a lot of them are interior or don't have the same variety. Sadly eBay is now hiding "best offer" results so I can only expect for prices to be more misleading.

well i want the game badly and as for this specific one for PSP, I haven’t found a single listing. I might look a little harder in a second though. And the Make Offer thing, while I don’t know exactly how it works, is still not gonna work for a non-collector. Most games will still be over 100s of dollars and be fully sealed and signed and special edition and whatnot just for me to get it just to play it.
And while the thread is nice to read thru when bored, like I said, I’m no collector. I’m some random joe who wants to play a game which existed before said random joe. Which is why the sealed signed exclusive rare complete edition which comes with special box isn’t what i want and spending 100s of dollars isn’t what I want either.

The manager's a relatively nice guy and all, and we both are nerds about games and anime and stuff, but he's a bit awkward to talk to. I haven’t found the battle system for SS or CS to be fun. Both are tedious, disorganized, half-baked and a far cry from how battles were in the first two games.

I found out a while ago Miles had an alternate version where he was named Shadow Spider.

They really should make that his official hero name. Cause I really hate the Barry Allen/Wally West (two heroes with the same name) **** they've got going on now, with him and Spider-Man. Unless they bring back the Ultimate universe and he's the only Spider-Man for it. Batman had that problem for a little while, when Bruce came back and **** was the main Batman for a few years. Both were Batman for a while before the New 52 had **** rightfully as Nighwing, an identity he built up on his own.

And I'm pretty sure Ben Riley is alive still, so now we also got 2 Scarlet Spiders, which is kind of annoying. Cause Kaine's my boy.

Apparently stickers are somehwat back. They're just additional powerful attacks you can equip to your normal hammer and boots and after a set number of uses break like BotW kinda.

Badges are also back, though we've only seen a little.
.there also seems to be some unique design for NPCs sprinkled throughout as well.

I'm still cautiously optimistic but the new stuff hasn't made me feel any worse about the game so that's good.

I'm almost positive the incentive to battle in this is gathering confetti from defeated enemies and it looks to actually deplete faster than the paint in Color Splash so that's likely the increased incentive. But we'll see.

Yeah. Still not a fan of how Wally never got his own hero identity. He’s the only original sidekick to never make a name for himself outside of his mentor. To this day I still wonder what Wally’s name would be.

And as for Miles, whatever name he gets should flow naturally from Spider-Man the way “Batman and Robin” do. Not to many syllables and suitable catchy.

IMO, Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck need redesigns. Sure, they can wear their skirts and bows if that’s what they want to wear, but when I look at them now, it still looks like the outdated idea of “bows=girl”. Get with the times

Yeah. Something like that. Although the coat very much served a narrative purpose in that episode, so it’s likely she would probably wear something else day to day.

Minnie should be the modern day equivalent of a flapper girl. It’s what she was designed to look like originally in the 30s and fit her earlier more rebellious and uncontrollable personality.

so i've been looking to expand my gaming backlog and just play tons of new games and really expand my horizons. plus, i'm probably gonna get bored sooner or later while the world is still bricks, so

recommend games to me. that is all.

I feel like a lot of my recommendations would depend on what you've played, what systems you have (or how good your PC is), or what kinds of games you're looking for.

However, one game that I'll always recommend is Psychonauts. It's like a mix of Super Mario 64, a summer camp, and the movie Inception.

If you haven't played Okami, I'd strongly recommend it. It's on sale on the Switch for $10, I think, and it's generally considered the closest thing to a Zelda game on non-Nintendo consoles, both in terms of gameplay and quality.

For 2D platformers, I tend to like Metroidvanias (platformers that involve a lot of exploring), so I'd recommend Ori and the Blind Forest, the Guacamelee games, and Bloodstained; Ritual of the Night as far as Switch games go.

If you haven't tried the demo for Dragon Quest XI, I'd suggest giving that a shot. It covers the first 8-10 hours of the game, so even if you don't get the game, you'll still get a lot of time out of it for free.

Also, use this as an opportunity to look into older franchises that you might not be familiar with. If you haven't played Street Fighter or Mega Man, there are plenty of collections on the Switch that are on sale at the moment. If you haven't played a Fatal Fury or King of Fighters game, the Arcade Archives series has released plenty of them on the Switch. (I'd recommend King of Fighters '98, Real Bout Fatal Fury, and Garou: Mark of the Wolves)

Maybe use Smash Bros. as a guideline - if you haven't played a game from a franchise on the roster yet, look into that. (though there might not always be an option, at least on the Switch - there aren't any Metal Gear or Persona games on the Switch, for example)

If you have a halfway decent computer and a Steam account, I'd recommend waiting for a Steam sale - it regularly goes on sale on Steam for about $3.

Prince of Persia 08 is great and is a game not enough people have played But it’s not on switch. Might want to give some Assassin’s Creed Games a shot With the Rebel Collection it’s on sale, if you want to murder your time. Bio shock is great. Valkyria Chronicles is phenom. Xcom is great. Borderlands is on there now even though I’m not a fan. Xenoblade is out now and it’s incredible. You can never go wrong with some top tier indie games. Mummy Demastered is surprisingly good. Any of the Shantae games. Doom series is stellar. Super Metroid on Switch Online. Castlevania Collection, All the Mega Man Legacy Collections (especially Zero ZX), and Contra Collection are all incredible. L.A. Noir is super unique. Astral Chain. Imma stop for now but if you want more I can help you out.
