For my ideal story for an Nintendo/Smash and Jump Stars crossover. I finally rounded out the characters who will appear in the story and are among the survivors who all has to eventually band together to deal with said phenomenon to restore everything back to the way they were.

To bring back a point from earlier today...


Why DOES Nintendo have such a boner for re-telling the NES/64 Star Fox story over and over and LITERALLY NOTHING ELSE?



Like, I get it, NES/64/Zero sets up the basis of the world and the general lore(Andross, Fox's dad, Star Fox/Wolf etc), but it just.... you can't tell a story, then keep retelling the first chapter over and over and expect people to NOT want to turn to the next page.


We've had Adventures and Assault, both pointing to wider concepts in the Star Fox World(DINOSAUR PLANET?! The ****ing BORG?)


But Nintendo just... wants to retell the same.damn.story.



You have a world filled with DeviantArt OCs...IN SPACE. FLYING SPACESHIPS......IN SPACE. How do the stories NOT write themselves?

They've gotten Star Fox locked in a trap at this point, and I feel they don't really know how to get out of it. The other storylines explored the different parts of the world of Star Fox, but they didn't hit it off as well as Nintendo would've liked so they went back to 64 to use it as a clutch since it was their most successful title and a storyline that they could rely on. However it leads to the opposite problem since now they're putting themselves in a box and won't explore the world of Star Fox any further because they don't feel they can capture the same magic outside of that original storyline. So now Star Fox is a franchise that doesn't know where to go because they can't keep copying 64, but it's the only storyline they feel comfortable doing and that's leaving the franchise in a rut.

That said, the previous appearance they had in Ubisoft's world exploring game was pretty well received, so maybe they can take cues from it and build off of that.

A lot of people will say Persona 5 Royal but I don't know since I'm playing Xenoblade as well.

Out of the games on this list, I've only played Devil May Cry 5 (I've played Persona 5, but not the Royal version), but I would strongly recommend that unless you haven't played DMC3 or 4. (I'm not sure if it would be tougher to follow if you haven't played those games - DMC5 has a recap at the beginning, but it doesn't cover everything)

Persona 5 is an amazing game, and easily one of the best RPGs that I've played, but both it and Xenoblade Chronicles will take up a lot of your time, so maybe it's better to wait until you've finished Xenoblade Chronicles before getting P5.

I have never seen anyone assume that a character is in smash because Sakurai said he played their game. Speculation can start, sure, but people don't just blatantly jump to wild conclusions like that. Also I suggest fact checking that, because I am quite certain he never said that. Don't believe everything you hear online.

Action games usually. Hack n slashed probably aren’t a thing on the 3DS, but platformers and beat em ups definitely are. Maybe something with speed like a kart racer or sonic game. Or maybe even a rhythm game.

How about Rhythm Heaven?

I'm sure Sonic at least has a couple of games on 3DS but I never checked.

Then I'd personally say to play Sonic Lost World, Sonic Generations, the Rythm Heaven titles, WarioWare Gold and Mario Kart 7.

I find all of those games really good.

Edit: the 3DS Sonic Boom games are also underrated imo.

I don't want to change your story but where is Toad, Waluigi, Dixie Kong, Bandana Dee, Krystal, and Porky? They should all be in this if we are adding additional characters not in the roster.
