And if you don't feel comfortable with the DLC, you can transer or trade the mons in without buying it iirc.

I do agree that the Mons in the DLC are far beter than the base game mons though.

I gotta say, I do love the new Regis too.

It may be cheating just because Regirock is one of my favorite Pokemon, but hey, I really want to catch them.

yeah I could but then that leaves me with a mediocre game that is missing the rest of the story

The cutscene with the three birds fighting made me think of the second Pokemon movie.

Wonder how close the plot is to that.

Will be interesting to see if Crown Tundra will have a catchable Regigigas in it or not. If Regigias does not show up, that could be a hint for Sinnoh remakes! Well, not going to cling onto hope just yet, but hey, just theorizing.

Gotta say, Relicanth being used against the Regis was a cute touch. And while Slowbro is nice, I'm more curious about Slowking given I always liked it more, sucks we have to wait even more months just to see the second part of a split evo.

Lmao the birds and Regis have signature moves, Regeleki gets an Electric type Fire Spin/ Magma Storm, Regidrago gets a Dragon type Eruption, Articuno gets a psychic move that can freeze, Zapdos gets a move that always lowers the enemies defence and Moltres just gets a fancier Dark Pulse

Did they even explain how a dragon-type Regi is a thing? I've always assumed that they were more like animate crystals.

Hopefully they do explain It because I'm curious too.

Maybe It is a deal similar to the Crystal dragons in Spyro 1???

Well, that fixes that. Though I really dislike it being DLC locked, they should make it available in the base game.

Folklore tells that the Legendary Pokémon Regigigas tried to create a Pokémon from crystallized dragon energy but ran out of crystals and was only able to complete the head

I just want to know what Calyrex does. It can apparently play god and see the past, present, and future, but there's this really weird aura about it that makes me feel like it'll be a problem, especially given it's the Crown Tundra where the Legendaries are showing up and the Galarian Birds are battling.

Also, still no Arceus ;3;

God can't even get himself a giant form.

Yay, Luxray and Krookodile are back!

I'm glad we got a good look at the Galarian Legendary Birds and the new Regis in game, they look good and I like the cutscene they had for the birds. Also, I like the idea of that four player adventure/raid mode, but I'm curious how it'll work in practice since with online in general that can always go south. Hopefully they pull it off since it looks like it'd be fun to mess around with and catch legendaries, but we'll see as we get closer to Fall.

For the people who have been using this quarantine period to cut down on your gaming backlog, how's that going, and what have you beaten or what are you currently playing?

In my case, I've beaten Persona 4, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, Zelda: Ocarina of Time (which was long overdue), Doom Eternal, and Kirby Planet Robobot. Currently, I'm going back and forth between Nier Automata and Persona 3, though I'm still pretty early on in both.

For Persona 3, the game is building up to Fuuka joining - not sure who she is, but going by how she's been described, I'm guessing that she's going to be the Rise or Futaba of the game, since she doesn't sound like a fighter, and Mitsuru's going to join the party eventually. For Nier Automata, I was just introduced to A2.

I've been playing Smash, Splatoon 2, about to finish Kirby Super Star for the 2nd time, but what I have been doing is playing Golden Sun: The Lost Age on the Wii U virtual console.

Not sure how far I am though.
