One of the bigger Canary Islands (Fuerteventura) has been deemed free from COVID-19 between yesterday and today.

And at the same time the number of people who overcame the virus has surpassed the 2000. As of now the current case of confirmed cases is around 2250 or a bit higher.

This all means that in a matter of days or one or two weeks the next Canary Islands may follow next, and alongside the current closure of airports and seaports that means the Canary Islands will finally be free from the virus for a good while.
