Ok. I’m about halfway done with Kirby’s Dream Land 3. And I can now count myself among Kirby’s fans. It’s just so satisfying and fun. So S/NES Online has made me a fan of both Kirby and Yoshi as well as Donkey Kong. I did also play through and finish all the old Mario games (except Lost Levels) and I can still say that it’s not for me. I may have liked 3D World, but normal 2D Mario is just kind of.... boring. It feels like plain old vanilla, whereas Kirby, DK, Yoshi, etc. all have cookie dough or peanut butter or Twix mixed in.

Will probably get Star Allies and Crafted World, if there’s a price drop of course.

You can probably find Woolly World used for like 15 bucks or so :yoshi:

It's wild how I bought RE2 and DMCV in November for nearly half of BotW's current price. The game's 3 years old goddammit why is it still 70 euros
I bought every single god of War game, including Dad of Boi, for $80 TOTAL. That’s 7 games for a little over $10 each. Meanwhile Crafted World and Star Allies are both still full price despite being a couple of years old. Like, why can’t they be $60 together? That sounds fair.

Because it sells.

Capitalism, ho!

Would it make Nintendo more money to cut down prices of their old games, making them more accessible?

Will they do it?

Which just does not make sense. They like to make money, and they would make more money if they cut their prices after a period of time and did more remasters and remakes. But they just... don’t. I never thought I’d be wishing that a megacorporation was more greedy.

Nintendo is the same company that can't get functioning online in 2020.

Don't expect them to ever lead the charge in modern day ideals....ever.

Recording a YouTube video, heard a recording of my voice. I'm gonna issue a formal apology to anyone who has ever heard it, I sound terrible.

Nintendo also just
Kinda never does price cuts to begin with

No, it's not good consumer practices
Yes, people still will pay top dollar for a remaster of a 10 year old game.
Pretty much the main thing preventing me from picking up PMD DX. It looks great and I'd love to play it, but I personally can't find myself paying full price for it, especially when examples like Spyro and Crash sell for less with more games packed in.

My thoughts exactly.

When I heard PMD DX was more or less the same game I loved on the DS but with updated graphics + retconning all the new evolutions from Gen 4 and 6 in, I jumped on my Switch to go buy it.

Then I saw it was full price for a remake of a DS game and noped hard and sad.

....and I say this but I know if they ported the WiiU port of Wind Waker to Switch, yeah, I'd buy it.

I'm part of the problem but

Wind Waker and Majora's Mask are my favorite Zeldas.

I feel like the one thing where they've been ahead of the game compared to basically everyone else is revealing stuff on the internet. Why it took so long for others to start copying the Nintendo Direct format is beyond me but even now companies are averse to doing it. We've lost E3 and one of the things trying to replace it is just a regular news schedule. Get rid of the Summer of Games branding for Keighley's thing and you literally just have what we've always had minus the newsapalooza of E3.

You wouldn't be the only one here who would. Wind Waker is my favorite video game, period.

NES, SNES, Game Boy/Color, GBA, N64, Game and Watch, Arcade, Virtual Boy, and MAYBE GameCube would be on NSO. But Wii and Wii U games would need to be ported by a team.

I wish they'd use the whole wide Mario universe for more spinoffs than just phone games. Sure would love this in **** like Mario Kart.

TO BE FAIR

Mario Kart 7 would have been fine if they had

Ya know

Not cut Waluigi

Ya know, the guy who was MADE to be the spin-off character and as far as I know, MK7 is more or less his only absence outside of maybe a couple GBC/GBA games?

Like, I'm not even that much a Waluigi fan but

Mario Kart 7 NOT including him was just

Weird
I knew one guy who used as a point against Waluigi being in Smash. I'd say he was the Mario spinoff defining character and he goes "Nuh-uh! He wasn't in Mario Kart 7, he doesn't count!" like dude what does that have to do with anything? Not having him at all proves my point more than disproves it based on fans being disgruntled with the choice.

I find that distancing yourself from foes tends to help. Also, use Genji’s ability to get in and out of combat quickly to your advantage.
Hop around and be annoying.

That's literally the same advice I learned to play as Maeve in Paladins and I worked. Same with Genji.
Lots of practice. Genji has a huge skill ceiling. He excels in playing around the enemy's team comp and being a harasser, because despite his squishiness, an unchecked Genji can be the downfall of even the burliest tank.

Stay just out of enemy range when directly engaging, poke with primary fire from afar or secondary up close, reflect the most burst damage target you can, and don't get into melee unless you can secure a kill and have dash on cooldown. Remember, dash cooldown resets when you get a kill with it, so seek out squishy or low health targets and clean up, especially with Dragonblade's buffed damage.

Also, use his wall climbing and double jump abilities to frustrate and escape if necessary.
1. Stand near your healers and don't go on risky flank plays. Unlike other squishies like Tracer and Soldier, Genji can't self-heal or reverse the damage process, outside of blocking damage, and that has to be played *just right* to work. Being aware of where your healer is at will save you a world of headache, and your healer too since you won't be spamming "I NEED HEALING" over and over again like the stereotypical Genji.

2. Practice headshots with the shurikens/ninja stars. They grant you a LOT more damage when hitting the head as opposed to the body. When comparing ninja stars to the standard gun weapons in the game, the damage falloff is much greater with Genji's shurikens when going down from head to rest of the body.

3. Use the sword dash to land the kill, and also to flee. Using it to get in the "first hit" on an enemy won't suit you well, because the cool down is greater with the sword dash than his shurikens.

4. When you activate his ultimate, Dragon blade (RYUJIN NO KEN WO KUREEEEE!!!!), you will want to corner 2-3 enemies. Dashing in onto all 6 is a risky move that *can* work if your enemies aren't coordinated enough, but since Genji isn't invincible during the ultimate, it's best to target only half the team. On the flip side, obviously don't use it from mid-range or farther. You won't get anywhere with it.
Way late response on my part, but I really do appreciate all the advice and pointers, so thank you all! I'll try tokeep all these factors in mind when playing Genji from here on out, whether it's practice or otherwise.

I find that playing him in Deathmatch is much easier, since you're fighting other players solo, without having to support a team and an objective,, not to mention not having to go up against an opposing team, yourself. But that only gets me so far since it plays so differently from the ordinary 6v6 game modes.

I wish they'd use the whole wide Mario universe for more spinoffs than just phone games. Sure would love this in **** like Mario Kart.
I'd spend good money for Bombette, Parakarry, Lady Bow, Admiral Bobbery and Vivian among others in Mario spin-offs.

Heck, you could bring in most of the villains from SPM while you're at it. I'd be hype.

Disgruntled Celtic Waluigi: I am so disgruntled.

But yeah, that was the strangest omission among any Mario Kart roster. I can understand someone like Bowser Jr. not being in due to having 7 Koopalings who all share a similar design idea(as well as are based upon a similar concept, especially the 7 being Bowser's Kids at one point), but Waluigi isn't one of those cases. It's also not something like a guest character or even a 3rd party guest where licensing can potential be an issue for a returning roster(Poor Snake).

I mean, I still miss Wiggler in Mario Kart, he was a sleeper pick that I actually liked.

Wiggler is cool.

Honestly, if given the choice, I'd avoid cutting characters. Though the idea of alts work in some cases, that's only if they don't have personalities.

...And this is coming from someone who dislikes the Baby characters(or some of them. Mario, Luigi, and Peach are cool. But where's DK Jr. again? He's not somebody who was created just for Mario Kart). It doesn't help any Mario Kart OC's are just variations on another one and not really stand-out like Waluigi or many of the Mario Party characters are. Hell, among the MP stuff, only Koopa Kid didn't really stand out, being a clear take on the Koopalings(and may be implied to be Bowser's kid within the Mario Party franchise. Possibly inspired the design for Bowser Jr. too).

They could do so much instead of Baby or Metal Character 2.0. Though I'll be fair, I kind of like Pink Gold Peach for actually not just being the same basic "Metal Character" like Mario Party 2 did with Metal Luigi, etc. The color isn't much, but it's an actual unique difference. On the other hand, stuff like Cat Peach feels like real costume territory.

I want Pauline in Mario Kart.
She's in Mario Kart Tour, isn't she?

I know you hate that game but it should count for something. I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to add her to the next console game in the series.
