Not a fan of the CalArts meme, and I myself am not a master artist by any means, but holy moly are those colors WAY off.

Yeah, his beak straight up looks like they just ripped it from a completely different show, and it's really... unique in that regard considering it's 2D.
Like, they just straight uo used the Rainbow effect on Adobe Illustraitor but didn't bother correcting the colors.

Someone should petition Nintendo to rename Bandanna Dee to “Bandee” which was originally gonna be his name. Giving him an actual name is probably the most effective thing that could be done to convince people who aren’t Kirby fans that he’s an actual character and not just Kirby’s equivalent to Yellow Toad.

Been watching through Sonic Boom on occasion, and I enjoy the show. But is it just me, or is season 2 WAY better than season 1? Season 2 I find to be a masterful gem, while my reaction to season 1 episodes is typically "eh, it's ok".

The reason for that is by season 2 they knew they were getting cancelled so they just went wild with the show.

It's a shame, because season 1 has some great episodes, but others that are highly forgettable or kinda poor. From what I've seen there isn't any episode that makes me angry, but season 1 has a stretch of mediocrity (especially in the first half). The second half of season 1 is decent, and then s2 skyrockets into top tier territory.
If the writers just had consistently hilarious writing, it could've lasted into season 3. Just had to give more effort into s1 I guess. Ah well.
Don't get me wrong, s1 has some solid writing. But there are other parts that weaken the series. While s2 is consistently great episode after great episode.

Ome thing I remembered about Sonic Boom is that Season 1 Shadow sounded like the Ocean dub of Vegeta.
Sonic Boom, specifically Rise of Lyric when it went by Sonic Synergy, was something I was really excited for. I always wanted a more explorative Sonic game that wasn’t slippery controls Adventure style. The game had some incredible potential but then y’know, Sega.
I still can’t believe Sega went from, “yeah this is a new take on Sonic completely separate from what we’re doing, do what you want! Oh you want to do an Origin Story? Sure, yeah go for it! Oh you want to use one of the most graphically impressive engines and release it across all platforms? Awesome, let’s do it! Oh you want to create all this lore to make this Sonic World more personal for you guys? Sounds great, have fun! Oh you want to make more exploratory and less fast? Amazing, do it good! Oh you need a couple years to make the game like you want? Definitely, take the time you need.” to “Oh hey y’know all that work you guys did? Throw all that out. All that lore you came up with? Bleh who needs it? Make a normal bad guy story. Sonic Synergy? Well you see we really want to make this show called Sonic Boom so why don’t you make it that instead. Oh that Origin Story thing? Can’t let you do that Star Fox. Oh exploration? But Sonic is fast, make more fast stuff. Oh and your game that is running on Crytech that’ll probably melt a Wii U? RoL had two things going for it; the bugs and admittedly the hilarious dialogue.
...So they fixed the bugs. The dialogue is it. 06 had still more going for it. Great dialogue(meme potential galore), some pretty cool characters(Mephiles is awesome), and amazing music.
I still can't find a copy of RoL, but I'd definitely give 'er a try. I enjoyed 06, as massively flawed as it is. XD

I'm pretty sure people have used the term before John K. popularized anyway. And before people found out he dated teenage girls, people hated him for being unreasonable to work with and hating most other artstyles. Saying a term can't be used because someone else who you don't like uses it doesn't amount to much if you ask me.

Yeah, the new Tucan Sam's design is pretty dumb. I get why the beak is colored in a more tie-dye style so that you can evoke the cereal's "Fruity Flavor" or whatever, but its a bit jarring from the rest of the art's coloring style. The biggest issue I have is that he has a regular mouth slapped on the in-between space of his beak and face.
Oh, and he looks like Mr.Sparkle from the Simpsons.

I've finally been binge watching a lot of these "Can I beat Pokemon 'game' with X Pokemon" videos, primarily Gens 1-3....
My god, I knew Gen 1 was broken but
How bad do you have to have spaghetti code to have moves that are supposed to lower your stats give you + in all stats? Or have moves that are supposed to only boost 1 stat give you an omni boost?
Yeah, moves like Harden in Gen 1 actually give a boost in every single stat if you have 7 Gym Badges.

What’s with the crappy cereal mascot cartoon style replacements? Thank goodness Lucky from Lucky Charms switched back to his old self (as far as I know, tbh I don’t watch TV much anymore and rarely see the cereal commercials but I saw a normal Lucky sometime after the more-simplified Lucky). Didn’t really mind it tbh, but I did like the usual style more and the new one felt like it was trying too hard to appeal to children when the other one was perfectly fine.
Who the frick makes a bird character with their mouth only partly on the beak? Just make a dang normal beak, they’re a fricking bird, or at least have it so it’s like the Rito from Wind Waker...
edit: meh okay it looks better in the animation, but it’s still weird. I don’t dislike the style but why change it? And why give a bird character a weird side-mouth?

Sadly, it'd be impossible to clear Gen 1 completely with Caterpie/Metapod/Magikarp because Struggle is considered Normal-type in Gen 1, and there's a handful of mandatory Ghost encounters.
Weedle/Kakuna could be doable but..... oi vey.
