I'm continuing my quest to reread all 4 Samurai Jack comic book series. Just finished the Samurai Jack Classics.

Good lord, Classics was a pain to reread. Nearly all stories in it were bad fan fiction-tier bad.

Now to move on to the next series: Quantum Jack.

Not being able to control your party in a single player RPG is actually the worst.

This is exactly why I am not a fan of just "adding" more party members to a Quest 64 remake. The whole gameplay is based around you being able to move your character to avoid enemy attacks.

Though being able to rotate them in akin to Golden Sun could be very interesting and strategic for different spells/making boss fights a lot easier. It'd still need balance too. Like being able to rotate someone in for free also means they can get a free hit in, but if it's not for free, then the boss can. So how to balance that is the question. My best thought is "they get a massive agility increase but it takes the full turn" or possibly a temporary double defense so they can't be one-shotted. Hard to say what works best, heh. It's kind of one of those unique rpg situations that don't come up often. Paper Mario at least had another active character so losing that one turn won't cost you for your partner. And you could actually get around that with a badge if you wanted to use it.

I was disappointed it was canceled, and even though I liked the Emoji Movie, it being chosen over Popeye did feel dumb and even more disappointing (though I read something that said it likely wasn't because of the Emoji Movie so idk). I'm glad to hear it's back in development.

You know I've been seeing more and more people in the entertainment industry as of late raise the argument that "canon doesn't matter" as an excuse for them doing whatever the heck they want with more recent properties.

No matter how many times I see it it always makes me feel kinda offended, not gonna lie. my favorites game series are usually built on years, sometimes decades of continuity and world building and I love seeing how the world's in these series change as the years progress. Same thing in tokusatsu shows when crossovers happen. That's my favorite part of fiction. So it annoys me that some of these writers simply throw that idea to the wayside.

Overreaction? Most likely, but it does annoy me.
