Zelda's face when she realizes shes clipping herself.
No, it absolutely was pertinent. That's why I said "in every other instance." And you say it's not the only time? Trust me, it's the ONLY time. There's a reason it's the one that keeps getting referencedYou mean it wasn’t pertinent to allow Samus to protect herself when she was literally dying from the heat? It’s not the only time but that’s the most infamous example.
He comes off exactly as he needed to be, which was a commander with a ton of responsibilities on his plate. This comes off as obtuse, especially when his responsibilities stack up (like, say, a former-subordinate-turned-bounty-hunter joins you on a mission unexpectedly), but Samus knows better than to assume he's some Federation automaton (which he actually does become in Fusion funnily enough). He has ethics and he feels his duties extend beyond what the Federation tells him to do. In fact, that's why he's there on the Bottle Ship in the first place. And yes, Samus takes an inordinate amount of time to introspect on herself than on Adam, but she doesn't blame everything related to him on herself. And for Christ's sake, giving out orders isn't "harshness". Sure he was snipey in the beginning, but last seeing each other on bad terms kinda does that. Remember that he didn't even order her to stop using missiles and bombs, she did that herself. It wasn't characterized as "oh, I would do anything for him," it was more "this is protocol." It established the relationship fully, "professional, yet with historical baggage." I wouldn't say it was a masterful relationship, you get one or two personal talks over comm and could've done with several more, but it wasn't abusive. Samus didn't transform from Xena to Cinderella like everyone and their grandma is putting it.No it’s not that she NEVER does it, but for the majority of the game, Adam comes off as a complete asshole because the voice direction combined with moments that make him unintentionally horrible (poor translation didn’t help) and it looks like Samus basically just takes his unnecessary harshness for no reason. Samus never gave us anything to analyze about her relationship aside from her regret and how naive she was. The poor translation didn’t help either.
I have it on Switch.Anyone here has played Samurai Showdown PS4???
People at Discord tell me It is really awesome and I'm tempted to try It so I want to hear tales about It from people who played It.
May tag Sari too since they are a big SNK person.
id rather have her use a barbed wire batI could honestly see this happening from where Remake is taking the story.
I hate how there wasnt enough AnthonyGoddddd, I hate how poorly they handled Samus and Adam’s relationship in that game.
they actually do have some similarities in a wayI see Aerith is channeling her inner Kanji. Also...

You guys see the similarities between these two right?
I can barely tell them apart!
...waifus? What is the meaning if this picture?
You’re really gonna make me go look up gameplay footage and find some examples of what I’m talking about, aren’t you?No, it absolutely was pertinent. That's why I said "in every other instance." But boy, this seems like Other M is my favorite game or something, doesn't it. But no, it's far from that. Frankly it's far easier to defend another often hated game like Skyward Sword than this one, but it's the prime example of a serviceable game subject to a terrible feedback loop. You can't look at a clip of Other M in a Scot the Woz video and discern "Oh, that's ****!" or "Oh, that's awesome!" like you would with Sonic 06 or Ride to Hell. You kinda have to take their word for it, and that's a VERY bad idea

This will be my only two cents on the matter since the Other M horse has been beaten to death. He comes off exactly as he needed to be, which was a commander with a ton of responsibilities on his plate. That scene right there cemented my hatred of the game’s story. To me it felt like the writer was more focused on portraying military protocol than naturally fleshing out Samus’s character. It develops Adam’s character at the complete expense of Samus’s. She’s basically a chess piece who has no agency of her own and is constantly pushed around to advance the plot. I loved that she had her own agency in the previous games but her character in Other M became just as linear as the game itself. Also, the shooting Samus in the back scene was not a good look for him. I know what they were going for, but between them not showing us the threat of an unfreezeable Metroid beforehand (replacing Nightmare with a room of them would've helped), shooting her first before the Metroid (which could've put her in unnecessary danger), the not very well conveyed apology for shooting her in the back, and the lack of any personable elements to him as he walks off to his heroic sacrifice while she's crying makes him come off worse then what they intended.

except for that evil old teacher everyone should hateI know people already joked about the similarities between FF7R and P5R but aren't we going to talk about how the entire character dynamics of both games boils down to "everyone likes the protag"?
What kind of moveset were you thinking for him? I was honestly kind of hoping we'd get him as this pass's "Piranha Plant"Mamboo07's Log

I know you weren’t asking me, but I was thinking a combination of moves from the Spear and Parasol powers from the series as well as a few other references here and there. I could go into more detail around lunchtime since I’m at work right now. What kind of moveset were you thinking for him? I was honestly kind of hoping we'd get him as this pass's "Piranha Plant"
Can't speak to Other M at all because I've not played much Metroid. But I will say that if there were more linear and plot-driven entries in the series I would absolutely have. That scene right there cemented my hatred of the game’s story. It’s not great even if you like linear/plot-driven games. Can't speak to Other M at all because I've not played much Metroid. But I will say that if there were more linear and plot-driven entries in the series I would absolutely have.
Yeah. I figured. Just sayin. It’s not great even if you like linear/plot-driven games.
His moveset would be a combination of the Spear, Parasol and Staff Abilities with Blizzard/Bluster/Sizzle/Splash and Zap. (Elemental attacks.)What kind of moveset were you thinking for him? I was honestly kind of hoping we'd get him as this pass's "Piranha Plant"
I liked this post, and then stopped because you ****ed Rose Quartz like your name was Greg Universe. There was a problem fetching the tweet
Happy Mother's Day, everyone.
(For the record, Pearl is Steven's true mom in my eyes. F**k Rose Quartz.)
Uh, I didn't really mean it like that. Just saying...I liked this post, and then stopped because you ****ed Rose Quartz like your name was Greg Universe.
It was a joke. I just like Rose Quartz and hate the undue hate she gets.Uh, I didn't really mean it like that. Just saying...
I think his FS should definitely be the Megaton PunchHis moveset would be a combination of the Spear, Parasol and Staff Abilities with Blizzard/Bluster/Sizzle/Splash and Zap. (Elemental attacks.)
Yup! Here's something I came up with:I think his FS should definitely be the Megaton Punch
I kind of prefer the whole combine spear with staff moves more then just straight spear moves.Yup! Here's something I came up with:

I had the same Neutral and Up specials (added Triple Spear when B is charged), for side special I had him riding a Nruff similar to Wario’s bike or riding a Gogoat and the Parasol acting like a shield/reflector for down special. Did you have anything for dash because that’s what I had the Parasol Spin as.Yup! Here's something I came up with:

Here it is! As voted on you by the poll, here's the Bandana Waddle Dee moveset! Was able to get this one done a lot faster than I expected, mostly because I've had it envisioned in my head for such a long time.
