I distinctly recall the WalMart in my area having Metroid Other M for that price late into the Wii U's lifespan, and I have no idea why.If he can afford it.

I'd like a greater variety of playable characters and less vehicles that are hampered by unwieldy gimmicks. Maybe they could revamp the control scheme a little by not having everything mapped to a single button and give us separate inputs for boosting and copy abilities.Kirby Air Ride 2. Discuss
I tried watching it a couple of years back but ended up forgetting about it due to some personal issues at the time. Really should get around to finishing it since Cowboy Bebop is my second favorite anime ever.Almost finished with Samurai Champloo, and what a ride it's truly been.
I've actually made a concept for a sequel a while back, but I ended up scrapping the whole thing altogether. My idea for the roster would consist of Kirby, Dedede, Meta Knight, and Bandana Dee along with all of the Dream Friends, including the Mage Sister trio. Each character would also have their own personal Air Ride Machine to race on, with the additional idea of vehicle stats with a variety of strengths & weaknesses.Kirby Air Ride 2. Discuss
As long as you don’t have one button doing everything then I’m all for it.I've actually made a concept for a sequel a while back, but I ended up scrapping the whole thing altogether. they were lucky enough to stay dead...and not have their universe rewritten due to having to die againI'd argue Samus' parents being burned and eaten by Ridley is just as horrible as that tbh.
That's......... not an explanation of why it's bad gameplay wise. That's basically "it exists. I hate it." It is virtually identical to the usual method of upgrading in Metroid in all but looks...I think it’s an ill conceived concept and o think the game would’ve been better off without it. Did we really need to explain why Samus loses her powers to begin with? I get it was to bridge the story and gameplay more but you don’t need to explain everything in your story for it to be credible.
This implies one of Yoshi's ancestors could have been a Pharaoh.Btw here's a consistent theme in Mario
THis is an unpopular opinion, but I actually like Champloo more than Bebop. Bebop is a classic, but has an extremely slow start and it took me a while to warm up to the characters, aside from Spike. Jet is nice but kinda bland, and Faye is up and down for me. Ed's awesome but Ed doesn't appear until many episodes into the series.I'd like a greater variety of playable characters and less vehicles that are hampered by unwieldy gimmicks. Oh, and online City Trial is a must.

Yeah, and his ancestors from prehistoric times and medieval ages might have been a T. Rex and dragon. This implies one of Yoshi's ancestors could have been a Pharaoh.
Which is quite cool.
How's the dub for it? Bebop has one of the best English dubs around so I wouldn't mind watching Champloo that way if the dub is of a similar quality.THis is an unpopular opinion, but I actually like Champloo more than Bebop. While with Champloo, I really love the dynamic of the main 3 and I've loved their dynamic since the beginning. It didn't take any time for me to warm up.
I guess it’s more of a plot related issue than anything, so it might’ve just not been the best place to bring it up, but there are instances where it creates more holes in logic than it plugs. Like the Pyrosphere mission where Samus is constantly taking damage from the heat until the Varia Suit gets activated and I get that it was to demonstrate that mechanic but that doesn’t excuse how Adam only decides to activate the thing that can protect her from the heat when a giant monster attacks.That's......... not an explanation of why it's bad gameplay wise. That is why I cannot watch "Metroid Other M: The Movie" without Retsupurae's commentary as it goes along. xD And I feel Adam just did that just because he's a douche. But Samus' attitude was the most outrageous thing really, like, only because this guy wanted to, she would accept the horrible fate of being roasted alive?I guess it’s more of a plot related issue than anything, so it might’ve just not been the best place to bring it up, but there are instances where it creates more holes in logic than it plugs. Is this a role reversal or what?
At this point, I personally think that would be hilarious.I could honestly see this happening from where Remake is taking the story.
Goddddd, I hate how poorly they handled Samus and Adam’s relationship in that game. That is why I cannot watch "Metroid Other M: The Movie" without Retsupurae's commentary as it goes along. xD And I feel Adam just did that just because he's a douche. I feel that second or third to "THE BABY" and PTSD Samus, their relationship became one of the most notables "memes" back in 2010.Goddddd, I hate how poorly they handled Samus and Adam’s relationship in that game.
That's a bizarre way to characterize Adam. So he's utilitarian throughout the entire game but because of this one instance where it seems off it's because he "felt like it?" In every other instance Adam has allowed a weapon's use when it's pertinent (aside from when grappling was needed, but by then the mission changed). You'd probably say something like "See, that's why the story sucks! Inconsistent characters!" but it's only been this one time and gives me no reason to believe Adam did this intentionally. I know that Other M relies on "theme" and "allegory" to an admitting sickeningly degree, but sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. That is why I cannot watch "Metroid Other M: The Movie" without Retsupurae's commentary as it goes along. xD And I feel Adam just did that just because he's a douche. x'D You know, I'm so glad that at least I could lift up some of the boredom and disbelief the game caused thanks to what I did with Roidley and Ridley for fun.
I see this all the time from YouTubers like Extra Credits, but it's never qualified. Is it that Samus NEVER confronts Adam in the game? Because that's not true at all (if you played the game, which I assume you did, you know the parts I'm talking about).Goddddd, I hate how poorly they handled Samus and Adam’s relationship in that game.
I feel that second or third to "THE BABY" and PTSD Samus, their relationship became one of the most notables "memes" back in 2010.
Oh, also, some people pointed out how bad and sad it was that Samus completely forgot about the Chozo and put Adam above everything else.
Not sure how exactly that would be meme’d but I gotta say that this line in the game is probably the most ironic thing I’ve ever seen.I feel that second or third to "THE BABY" and PTSD Samus, their relationship became one of the most notables "memes" back in 2010.

Yeah, I agree. Subtlety is the BIGGEST issue with the game, and it irritates me to no end when I can figure out a story beat on my own only to have Samus monolouging to me that very answer. Oh, when Madeline talked about a "disturbance," she was talking about Ridley? I would NEVER have known that Samus!!!Not sure how exactly that would be meme’d but I gotta say that this line in the game is probably the most ironic thing I’ve ever seen.

As subtle as Dan Backslide, lol:Yeah, I agree. Subtlety is the BIGGEST issue with the game, and it irritates me to no end when I can figure out a story beat on my own only to have Samus monolouging to me that very answer. Nice to see another person who thought Akame ga Kill was simply "okay" and not the masterpiece that others make it out to be.I love how Samurai Champloo ended. The story was all about the journey instead of the destination, and while some episodes were better than others, I still enjoyed the ride. The best part of this show was the dynamic that the characters have, and it caused for a hilarious, entertaining thrill ride for the vast majority of the show.
Here's my updated anime ranking:
S tier: Some of the greatest shows I've ever seen. They deserve all the awards.
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood- Perfect 60/60 points
Attack on Titan- 58 points
Death Note- 57 points
Aggretsuko- 55 points
A tier: Anime shows that I heavily enjoyed and are favorites, but have one or two flaws that hold them back from being "best of the best".
Code Geass and My Hero Academia- 53 points (MHA could bump up to S, depending on how season 5 goes)
Steins Gate, Soul Eater, and Fullmetal Alchemist 2003- 52 points
Monster, Samurai Champloo, and Konosuba- 50 points
Toradora and Baccano- 49 points
Higurashi and Cowboy Bebop- 48 points (I debated bumping Bebop into the tier below because it took a WHILE for me to get into that show, but it's left such an amazing culture impact while also being an interesting story to the point where I had to place it here. There are other "classics" on the other hand in which the story did NOT grow on me... which you'll find down in E tier).
B tier: Anime shows that I find to be well-rounded and worth it, but I wouldn't consider them to be among the best.
Dr. Stone- 47
Clannad and Afterstory, Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Death Parade, and Hellsing Ultimate- 46
Lucky Star, Hetalia, Made in Abyss, and No Game No Life- 45
Madoka Magica- 44
Your Lie in April and One Punch Man- 43 (The former started out slow and got better, the other slowed down)
Naruto and Shippuden- 42 (Barely scraped the "good" category. The plot holes and filler are big flaws, but the world building and character arcs are freaking amazing. Some of the best cast of characters ever, imo).
C tier: These anime I found to be decent, but didn't really grip me for any long stretch of time. Better side of average.
Pokemon (first five seasons)- 40
Anohana and Pokemon XY- 39 (Anohana's higher for many. Maybe I should rewatch?)
Hellsing and Angel Beats- 37
Blue Exorcist- 36
D tier: These shows didn't grip me much at all and I find them to be pretty middle of the road. They are worthwhile enough to garner a fanbase, but these shows definitely aren't my speed and I found them forgettable or a mixed bag. Lower side of average.
SAO 2 and Jojo's- 35 (If we cut out the Mother's Rosario arc and had it in its own category, it'd be quite a bit higher and Gun Gale would fall significantly lower. I'm gearing up for anger with the Jojo's ranking lol)
Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Fruits Basket- 34
Mirai Nikki, Claymore, Another, and Akame Ga Kill- 33 (Akame Ga Kill I consider to be THE most average anime on this list)
Dragon Ball Z and Watamote- 32
E tier: Shows I consider bad. Just not a fan of these.
Pokemon Hoenn arc and Fairy Tail- 29
Neon Genesis Evangelion- 28 (most overrated anime ever? The story is all over the place and the characters are intriguing but are a mixed bag concerning reliability)
Bleach- 27
Yugioh (original) and SAO 1- 25
F tier: Please skip these. You're not missing much at all.
Yugioh GX- 23 (the manga is so much better. Not even close)
Vampire Knight- 21
Bobobobobobobobobobobobobobo- 19
Yugioh 5ds and High School of the Dead- 18
G tier: So bad, it's good!
Mars of Destruction- 17
Skelter Heaven- 16
School Days- 14
H tier: DIE IN A FIRE
Corpse Party- 10 measly points
...I'm changing my name again. And Zero Requiem (I can't find your tag)
You mean it wasn’t pertinent to allow Samus to protect herself when she was literally dying from the heat? It’s not the only time but that’s the most infamous example. I know that Other M relies on "theme" and "allegory" to an admitting sickeningly degree, but sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
No it’s not that she NEVER does it, but for the majority of the game, Adam comes off as a complete asshole because the voice direction combined with moments that make him unintentionally horrible (poor translation didn’t help) and it looks like Samus basically just takes his unnecessary harshness for no reason. Samus never gave us anything to analyze about her relationship aside from her regret and how naive she was. The poor translation didn’t help either.I see this all the time from YouTubers like Extra Credits, but it's never qualified. Is it that Samus NEVER confronts Adam in the game? Because that's not true at all (if you played the game, which I assume you did, you know the parts I'm talking about).
Just to show some examples:Not sure how exactly that would be meme’d but I gotta say that this line in the game is probably the most ironic thing I’ve ever seen.

Oh god, her internal dialogue was obnoxious, she did not need to go on and on about the significance of every interaction she had.Yeah, I agree. Subtlety is the BIGGEST issue with the game, and it irritates me to no end when I can figure out a story beat on my own only to have Samus monolouging to me that very answer. I see Aerith is channeling her inner Kanji. Also...
Is this a role reversal or what?
I loved the whole adventure. The things that happened to the characters, the interactions between the characters, and the setting were my favorite things about it.I love how Samurai Champloo ended.
