Jojo Part 9 looking weird.
I don't know man, after Part 8's recent events, it can't get weirder than the **** I'm reading.

Not even the President wanting the corpse of Jesus Christ is weirder than this.

Can confirm that the Luminary relies too much on his team to be considered uber-strong. Final boss can kick your ass even if you're at level 99 (on hard mode).
It's funny, because narratively, Luminary is supposed to be only weaker than Erdrick of the 4 Smash skins, but is probably one of the weakest in terms of gameplay

then Eight, who is the weakest storywise, is the strongest gameplay wise of all the Heroes

Not denying Hero's strong, but Super Sonic can solo gods in his Universe (Perfect Chaos, Dark Gaia, it took only 3 super forms to destroy the creature that destroyed the entire universe), heck, man was able to take down the physical embodiment of the destruction of time itself
I guess the Luminary was able to do so as well

Of course, there's Darkspine Sonic, but Secret Rings was garbo so it never returned
And then there was the Sega vs Capcom comic where Super Sonic and Super Megaman were able to rewrite reality so that the whole plot never happened to begin with.

For the record, I mostly chose each characters' power ranking solely on their natural strength and powers.
Maybe I’m clouded by my own interpretation of the character, because while I don’t see him as strong from a physical or any kind of power level standpoint, I imagine him being as intelligent as he is hungry and able to solve his problems and defeat foes in creative and inventive ways. Mainly because of the crazy **** you can pull off with his moveset.

I don't listen to those claiming they have insider info. Most of them are full of it despite having a following.

Plus I like surprises and I wasn't a fan of Hero, Banjo & Kazooie, and Terry getting leaked. I'm glad the last two were on no "source's" radar.

Honestly, Idk where I would be in the game if Serena wasn't the Clutchiest Clutch to ever Clutch.

(And I guess Jade Clutched HARD on the Act 2 final boss)
Apparently you can use the Sword of Light as an item and ****ing wreck his DEF in half.

Never knew that.

God, I hate beating a dead horse but

How the **** did Garde-Telle ever pick up steam.

"IT CALLED RICHTER!" isn't a ****ing excuse when the backstory was that the ************ STOLE a display Switch and the game just happened to SELF TERMINATE all its information upon data-mining.

Why are we stupid. Why do people believe **** like this.

Serena should never leave your party in Act 2. Her support is godlike and incomparable.

Honestly, everybody clutched hard for me with Act 2's final boss, even Erik. On hard mode you gotta use everybody if you don't got a specific pep-strat down. Mainly because meat shields will carry you when people inevitably die from bull**** like Mighty Magic Burst or just getting decked in the face. (Seriously, why is a standard attack capable of one-shotting Rab at level 58?)

Really? Luminary was my most prominent damage dealer in 11. Sword dance + strength buffs from his skill tree + Greatswords = Pain and Suffering. Dude is only really competing with Jade in terms of damage, and Luminary can also heal and cast spells when he needs to which makes him more useful than Jade imo.

I will agree that Eight ****s **** up. Dude is too tense.

The problem is everyone judged secret rings poorly for not playing like a sonic game. But it's not supposed to. SR plays like a stratedgy racing game where sonic is a customizable car. You give him the proper skills for each challenge but if you don't it's going to not work very well.

Isn't that mostly because the main character is the most popular one, and is usually the only choice of character you can play as?

Springman isn't either of them.
Not necessarily. I remember someone using this exact same argument to insist we'd be getting someone other then Erdrick or a silent protagonist as our DQ rep, and look how that turned out. In fact that case could be made for most silent JRPG protagonists in the game, and even some of the ones who do talk.
It took Charizard 3 games to be playable, and he's a HUGE mascot of Pokemon (being on the boxart of the best selling Pokemon games).
Charizard is just a mascot, but Pikachu is the mascot.

Gameplay wise, Luminary is in an awkward spot of "A really strong hero where the system favors him, but he doesn't have any gamebreakers" like Eight does, or Six

Of the Smash skins, its gameplay power of 8 > 4 > 11 > 3 (rip class locking)

Narratively its like

3 >>> 11 >> 4 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 8

I don't think I could ever have a better PotG in Overwatch.

>playing Junkrat
>gets a quad
>ends with, "Don't you come--"
I had a very recent Play of the Game where I utterly shredded a third of the enemy team as Bastion with help from a Super Charger.

Then I died to a single Hanzo arrow and the PotG ended right there.

Tbh, what isn't capable at oneshotting Rab. In Act 3, he just dies the moment he does anything because he's too slow and frail.

I didn't like it because the controls were garbage and didn't work. I get it was on rails, but it doesn't work when the controls do not function.

Black Knight was WAY better (wouldn't say that game was great though), because the handled the controls in a much better way.

I can't believe the old man character has the fragility of an old man.

Can you explain 4? I didn't see anything too gamebreaking about him and he felt on the level of Erdrick.

iirc, it was "The game's system favored him"

He didn't break the game at the end, but rather he broke it at the start, which would snowball you through the end of the game

I mean, when you deliberately design a character to be completely ****ing broken like Act 2 Serena, you're bound to players to rely on them. Also Jade has an exclusive item that lets her get MP back every turn and crafting lets you get 6MP per turn, ****'s busted

I guess so? I felt Sofia carried the game, but only because they were so well-rounded. Like they had no weakness and they're the one most likely to stay in your party the whole way through, so they'll probably be the highest level character. I played like the mobile port, which is essentially the DS remake, so I'm not sure if it's different in the NES version.

Wait what? Where's Jade's exclusive item? That makes her consistently reliable for bosses.

Speaking of leaks though, remember the Doom and Mallow Mii costume "leak"?

Is it safe to call that leak most likeky dead? Because not only has it been proven that you can mod Mii Costumes (though it's hard), and not only did the Doom devs say Ninty didn't reach out the them, but Byleth was Fighter 5, Arms was Fighter 6, the Arms character is still in development and Covid 19 put a slow on things makes me doubt that they made these costumes so far ahead in advance.

But nobody disproved it, so uh...?

I don't think the Doom devs saying anything means anything, since they'd be under NDA.

The thing that throws HEAVY shade on it for me is that it's been uploaded and reuploaded countless times and no Nintendo copyright strikes have attacked it.

We know how Nintendo handles unreleased content, we know how they handle unreleased SMASH content on Youtube. Those videos have been up forever and 0 action was/has been taken.

The general argument for believing in it was that it would be seemingly difficult to replicate. Once some random dude made a good replica of the Mallow hat and its jiggle physics a week later, that argument went into the trash as well as the leak.

The NES version is kind of a nightmare because of the AI. There is a reason why that one priest is so heavily associated with the Thwack spell (because the AI 'learned' as the fight went on, and it would always cast the most deadly spell they had)

The argument now is the difference in quality, which I can see but...

I'm not believing this leak. Unless they really made these Mii costumes over an entire year in advance (which nobody else datamined, or leaked, or ANYTHING), which I really doubt.

I'll still never understand the time they copyright stuck that one KOS-MOS mod during the KOS-MOS craze during TGAs all because apparently "Mario Kart Tour"....?

Sometimes Nintendo makes no damn sense.

I mean, they are the last bastion of the Grinch. Kinda.

And we all know how the Grinch went down.
Every Smash fan down in Smashboards liked Verg a lot
But the Geno fans who lived just in their thread did not!

The Geno thread hated Verg! The whole leak season!
They hated him, they did, regardless of reason.

"No Geno? I'll show him!" They sneered in their den!
The Grinch leak would yet to be tossed in the bin.

Though, over time, more and more came unto light
The Grinch leak, infallable, soon fell from sight
No Geno, no Isaac, shudder the thought
But all their cries were all for naught
