omg no I love Elvis to much for this to happenthis is bravely second's musketeers all over again
I'll probably just skip to 6, the main reason I don't own 4 or 5 is because id rather get that physical collection.Jesus Christ. Looks like a bad photoshoot.
I'd pick up 4 and 5 first. Although you could play 6 and read the plots of 4 and 5.
I'm glad this post is getting likes, but after 3 weeks of work I was kind of hoping I would get some feedback/responses.It's finally done!!!
Are you ready for Round 2? If you are, then get ready and enter the STADIUM!
Hello and welcome! I'm here to walk you through the many challengers and arenas of this epic contest of legendary champions! We'll go through changes to veterans as well as completely new fighters. Without further ado!
Note: Some veterans don't have much to talk about, so a few of these are gonna be kind of stubby.
An HP System has been added to the general gameplay. Super's are still instant kill, but you can kill an opponent without using a single one. Holding down the left trigger allows you to spend your AP on enhancing your normal attacks for extra damage.Observation: Smash Bros is to Swords as PSASS is to Guns. The Ghost of Sparta remains relatively unchanged from his appearance in the previous title. His look is slightly updated with better texturing and more detail. And his spear and sheild move has been replaced with the phalanx attack from God of War 3, now mapped as his down-triangle. With the hammer now his side-triangle.Let us see what the future has for our favorite white and angry spartan. He's calmed down in his old age and brings his son Atreus into battle with him. His Square moves are basic attacks with his Leviathan Axe, while his triangle attacks rely on the classic Blades of Chaos. His Circle attacks are more varied. His neutral is commanding his son Atreus to fire an arrow. Atreus constantly follows behind Kratos and can independently attack enemies. His side circle is a throw of the leviathan axe. His down circle is a reflector move with his shield, and his up circle blasts him upwards with the Winds of Hel. If you super charge his taunt while on Lake of Nine, he will converse with Mimir to learn more about his opponent.Zeus's side and neutral specials have been switched, with his former side special now functioning as a counter attack. While his gameplay remains unchanged, PaRappa's look now more closely resembled the paper flat design from his original title.Lammy's attacks come from use of her guitar and her roller blades. Aside from simply rolling into people and swinging her axe like.... an axe, Lammy's circle attacks unleash shock-waves that deal increased damage the longer you are able to keep the beat with them.Known in the original title as simply Fat Princess, Princess Plump has been given her distinguishing name to differentiate her from her alternate Princess Muffintop. Both Princesses are now playable via differently voiced alternate costumes.Sweet Tooth is still the deadly slasher you know him as originally. His landmines can now be placed directly on opponents. All of his Square attacks now utilize his famous Machete as opposed to just his neutral combo, and the arc of his Molotov special has been reduced.Calypso attacks with demonic magic and hellfire. He hits hard and hits fast but has very little defensive options. Like his inspiration, he wields a pitchfork as a melee weapon. He is unique as the only character with a cinematic level 1 super, an energy projectile which locks on to a single opponent and grants said opponents unique greatest wish, before it backfires and kills them. His level 2 super utilizes the missile launcher from his Twisted Metal 4 vehicle, and his Level 3 unleashed all his trapped and tormented souls onto the battlefield. The only notable change to the colonel is that instead of firing his grenade launcher triangle move downwards, he instead crouches and fires forward.Like many other characters, Sly's down triangle rage bomb has had its angle of fire altered to be more effective in combat.Nathan Drake now sports his look from Uncharted 4, with his previous costumes selectable via alternate costumes. His cover move has been moved to his block, making him the only character to be able to somewhat attack from blocking, but with it's options severely limited. His down circle now being a quick crouching throw of a stick of dynamite before dodging the blast. Drake now makes use of a grapple hook in his up circle, still allowing him to zipline if it attaches to the right target.Say it with me now, the arc of Cole's sticky grenade is reduced to make it more practical. The same applies to Evil Cole, which Segway’s into a new concept in this game, Shadow Brawlers. Evil Cole is classified as one. As means of expanding the roster and increasing a series’ representation, Shadow Brawlers are modified clones of their original character. More of these will be discussed as they come up.Ratchet and Clank have now been updated to their design from their most recent title on PlayStation 4.A newcomer to the series, Dr. Nefarious makes use of his Anhilator Blades and energy attacks, as well as a quirky repertoire of weapons (some pilfered from his arch nemesis) including his jetpack, the Sheepinator, and the Groovitron (meaning yes, unique dancing animations for every character).Jak and Daxter's neutral combo now gives two punches BEFORE comboing into the spin attack. In addition, Jak and Daxter now have a Shadow brawler in the form of their girlfriends Keira and Tess, which make use of Keira's abilities as a sage of Light Eco for a slightly longer range melee game.Nariko is now voiced by her original game voice actress, Anna Torv.Sackboy's Costume Clash super now transforms him into the main character from whatever game the stage he is currently on is based on. They are all identical, a diagonal rising attack, the costumes are all merely cosmetic. His Sackgirl alt now features unique lines from the announcer and the LittleBigPlanet narrator.Sir Dan now sports his look from the MediEvil Remake on PlayStation 4. His shield is now always out, with his neutral circle being his famous arm boomerang.Spike now features an alternate costume which changes him into Jimmy from Ape Escape 2. He also has a Shadow Brawler in the form of Kei from Ape Escape 3, who has an alternate costume based on Yumi from the same title. The main difference between Spike and Kei is that Kei lacks the Magic Punch, instead utilizing the game's morph costumes to temporarily change costumes to gain stat differences, think of them like Monado Arts from Shulk in that other platform party brawler. The main villain from the Ape Escape series, Specter is a telekinetic powerhouse with laser blasts, shields, force pushes and pulses, and an extended range on his grabs. His supers make use of the various members of the Freaky Monkey Five.Due to characters from Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, and Tekken now all being on the roster, Toro's costume transformations have been altered to reference different fighting games. His standard Martial Arts costume is now tied to his neutral circle, replacing the sleep move, and referencing moves from Virtua Fighter. His Swimsuit costume references moves from the King of Fighters series like the Power Dunk, Buster Wolf, Kachousen, and Reppuken; his Lab Coat costume references moves from the Killer Instinct series like the Fire Cat, Endokuken, and Blade Dash; and his Baseball costume references moves from the Super Smash Bros series such as Mario's fireball, the Falcon Punch, and Marth's Sword Moves.Kat and Dusty remain unchanged, but gain a Shadow Brawler in the form of fan favorite character Raven and her bird Xii. In addition to slight stat differences, Raven utilizes her Blue Jays in place of Debris Throw and High Pressure in place of Spiraling Claw. Her Phoenix form is used in place of Kat's Gravity Panther.Emmet is largely untouched from his original appearance. He now has the ability to blow up his Rift Extractor, launching away opponents at the cost of the AP it would have dropped normally. The protagonist from the game Warhawk on PlayStation 3. "But wait Snake!" I hear you say, "Warhawk was a multiplayer only title! It didn't have a protagonist!". To which I say yes, you are correct. But it was supposed to. The story mode was cut for time, but we saw one trailer of it and know it was to star a Eucadian Soldier by the name of Zack Archer. PSAS fans will know that a Eucadian Soldier was planned for the original game but was dropped during development, presumably in favor of Emmet from Starhawk. In the spirit of cut content and living up to the developers original vision, I have combined the two ideas. As originally described, Zack makes heavy use of the Jetpack from Warhawk for enhanced mobility and an attack that makes him a human torpedo. Beyond that, his weaponry is limited to the basic weapons from Warhawk (the knife, the pistol, and the grenades) as well as a wrench. He also has a multi stage special where he assembled a turret similar to Villager's tree special.Aloy is a versatile fighter with a similar crowd control mentality to Isaac Clarke. Her bow and arrow and spear are her primary weapons, and her Tripcaster can be used both to set traps on the battlefield to trip opponents and as a bolo launcher to tie up enemies feet. Her supers utilize her override tool to summon enemy machines to attack her foes.Lady Maria of the Astral Clocktower primarily attacks with her Rakuyo and her gun. Like the Bloodborne protagonists, she can transform her weapon to acquire different moves with her down circle. She can stab herself to enter "blood mode" where her weapons are coated in Red Energy (for the ratings board, in the original game it was blood), increasing the damage on her attacks as well as giving her several new attacks, but this only lasts for a short time. Her fiery third phase is utilized as her level 3 Super. She also can utilize the game's Rally system to regain health if she attacks back within a certain window of time, that time being MUCH more reduced then in the original Bloodborne so as to not make it overpowered.Knack is a big bruiser with powerful combo attacks. He can make tornadoes, shock waves, and projectiles. He can enter his miniature form either by exploding away his components or by taking an excess of rapid damage without time to gather back up his pieces. In his miniature form his attack power is greatly reduced and he must wait a few seconds before using the resemble command, where he must run around to regather his scattered pieces from the arena. He can temporarily gain elemental resistances when he reforms based on which direction you hold in the reform command. Changing into Wood, Metal, or Ice forms. The main hero from The Legend of Dragoon, Dart is an all-rounder character that attacks with his broadsword. His triangle attacks are based around his Additions from the original game, and his circle moves utilize his powers as a Dragoon, though he only enters Dragoon form for his level 3 Super Red Eyed Dragon, fudging the game's mechanics slightly for a more robust moveset.Ico and Yorda have temporarily escaped the shadow castle and found themselves in the middle of this All-Star slobber knocker! Ico only with a stick to protect his charge, she becomes vulnerable if you let go of her hand (which increases the speed of you moves) and her death will deal double the damage taken by Ico until he looses a stock. Yorda can use light magic to shield herself and force away opponents, as well as form Idol Gates to block an enemies advance and their circle moves summon various Shadow Creatures from vortexes. These creatures can also hurt Ico and Yorda, so their use must be strategic. That sums up this character, they're a strategy based character.Wander is a technique oriented swordsman. Many of his sword attacks are original, but meant to reflect the tactical, survival, and weakness exploitation mechanics in Shadow of the Colossus. He can raise his sword to flash beams of light at his opponents, stunning them. In addition to these attacks, he can turn himself invisible with the Cloak of Deception, mount his horse Agro, fire arrows both on foot and mounted, throw the Harpoon of Thunder, and glide with his Cloth of Desperation.Another duo character, but unlike Ico and Yorda, Joel and Ellie can only be KO'd together and cannot separate. Joel is about melee strength, while Ellie brings the Range. Joel's only long-range option is his revolver, but he is an excellent brawler and skilled with his machete. Ellie only wields a switch blade up close, but makes use of a rifle, a bow and arrow, and thrown bricks and Molotov cocktails. You can switch which one is out front at any given moment and the other will follow behind supporting with a limited version of their moveset. Switching between which should be the primary fighter and which should be support is a fundamental aspect of their gameplay. The stealth agent from the Syphon Filter series, Gabe could be best described as a bumble bee. He is fast, and his attacks don't do much damage, but he can unload a bunch of them really quickly and has unparalleled mobility. His arsenal includes the Silenced 9mm, the HK5, the Biz-2, the K3G4, the Sniper, the Shotgun, the M79, the Grenade, the Gas Grenade, and the Taser (for his grabs). The leader of the Chimera's from Resistance, Daedalus has the ability to transfer his mind into any Chimera Soldier on earth, and has done so to an Advanced Hybrid to take part in this contest. This transference has severely limited his telekinetic and telepathic powers to simple speech, force pushes, and weak telekinetic grabs. To make up for this, he makes use of the Advanced Hybrid's weaponry, primarily the Bullseye Mark II. Additionally, he makes use of the Hunter, the Wildfire, and the Hedgehog Grenades. Daedalus can also summon units of his troops to fight alongside him with his Circle attacks, namely the Burrower, Crawler, Leaper, and Steelhead Chimeras.I wanted to do a Captain Falcon with a pilot from the wipeout series, and one of the only ones with names pilots turns out to be the original Wipeout. So I chose Sofia, the female FEISAR racer from that title, and the first woman to race all around the world in a single seater AG pod. She makes use of the various weapons from the Wipeout series. She can lay down trails of mines, fire Plasma bolts, use the quake disruptor, shoot missiles, throw thunder bombs, and even dash forward with a turbo boost. As she is French, she fights with Savate, or French boxing.Did you know Sony owns the Q*Bert franchise? It's true. It's developer Gottleib was purchased by Columbia Pictures, which was then acquired by Sony. So Q*Bert is a first party Sony character, and a perfect candidate for both a Retro Nostalgia fighter and a WTF addition. He can fire balls of energy from his nose, but his melee attacks are limited to flailing around his nose and kicking. He has a sucking move like Kirby and can use some of the various powerups from the Q*Bert series (what they are, I don't know. I can't find a single list of Powerups from the series but I know later entries have them, if someone knows what they are that would be helpful). Also, as a gag reference to the Sony movie Pixels, one of Q*Bert's supers turns him into the Lady Lisa character from that movie (you know why If you've seen or even read a plot synopsis of that film).PlayStation's Vice President of Various Entities who was the king of PlayStation 3 advertising in it's heyday. Now he has entered the world of All-Stars to make sure the game is accurate and of quality first hand, determined not to have a repeat of last time. He's armed with a PlayStation Move controller in various configurations including swords, blasters, a submachine game, a bow, a racing wheel, the charging station (as an AP Generator), and the VR headset.Using the avatars from the defunct PlayStation Home service, you can create your own custom characters! You can equip them with costume pieces from across the PlayStation Multiverse, and customize their appearance to your liking. They come in four classes. Weaponmaster, Karatemaster, Spellmaster, and Blastermaster.Crash Bandicoot, the King of PlayStation himself, finally makes joins the battle! Taking his visual design from the recent N. Sane Trilogy, Crash's moves come from all over. His Square combos consist of his martial arts moves from Crash of the Titans. His Triangle moves make use of the Bellyflop, a jump off a box (potentially spawning either a Normal Crate, a Bounce Crate, or a TNT Crate), a spin (which can be mashed to perform the Death Tornado Spin), and the Crash Dash. Finally, his circle moves utilize the Fruit Bazooka, the Jetpack, his Yo-Yo, and the Bowling Bomb from Crash Team Racing. His supers include Super Aku Aku as an Install Super, A longer and more powerful Death Tornado Spin, and a cinematic Level 3 where Crash is running down a hill away from a Boulder on Polar with Super Aku Aku, with the opponents standing on a platform in the path of the boulder. Crash then long jumps over them as the opponents are crushed by the boulder. His sister Coco Bandicoot also appears as his Shadow Brawler. She is slightly faster then Crash and has many cosmetic differences in her attacks. Her level 3 Super takes the opponents into space, referencing the N. Gin Boss in Crash 3. She and Pura fire a huge laser from a spaceship at the surface of the moon where the opponents are standing.Dr. Cortex is nothing without his gadgets. His melee game is weak, though he does have a devastating plummeting meteor aerial with his large head. His laser pistol has the various functions from his various boss fights across the series. He can fire green straight shots, purple waving shots, and the Fracture Blaster from Skylanders: Imaginators. His circle moves let him throw mines, do a kick with his hoverboard, use his own Jetpack, and use his Staff Soul Gem power, again from Skylanders.Spyro takes his design from the Reignited Trilogy, but like Crash borrows minor moves from his later spinoff titles. His melee attacks are based on the various martial arts moves from the Legends trilogy. His triangle moves are his standard flame breath, the charge attack, a spiraling upward flight, and his Headbash ability from Enter the Dragonfly. His circle moves include the Superflame Fireball, the Superfreeze attack, and the Bubble and Electricity moves from Enter the Dragonfly.Hunter is a simple character compared to other fighters. His attacks are mostly All-Stars originals, with some inspiration from NeatherRealm Studios's Archer characters using his bows. He has a handful of special arrows that can be fired in various directions. Essentially, look at Green Arrow in the Injustice series to get a good idea of Hunter's gameplay style.Big Daddy is now always accompanied by his Little Sister, which temporarily transforms into a Big Sister during his Level 2 Install Super and assists in attacking.Dante now sports his look from Devil May Cry V, with each of his previous looks selectable as alternate costumes (including a differently voiced one based on his DmC appearance). His Arbiter and Osiris abilities are replaced with similar attacks with the Cavaliere and King Cerberus from DMCV. His Rebellion has been replaced with the Devil Sword Dante. His Stinger Super is now level 1, a Traditional Devil Trigger is his Level 2 Super, and a cinematic attack from Shin Devil Trigger is his Level 3.Resident Evil is iconic to the PlayStation 1, and various characters appear to represent the series. Jill Valentine is the primary fighter, with Leon S. Kennedy as her Shadow Brawler with altered stats to encourage a more aggressive playstyle with the same toolset. Each one also has an alt of one of the two Redfield siblings, Claire and Chris respectfully. Their moveset is inspired heavily by the Marvel vs. Capcom series, taking directly from Chris's various appearances as well as Jill's Marvel vs. Capcom 2 appearance. Charging STARS, Combination Punch, Gun Fire, Return Fire, Grenade Launcher, Body Blow, and Flamethrower all directly taken from that series. The circle attacks are based on the Emergency Dodge attacks from MvC2, featuring a standard Zombie, a Cerberus, a Crow, and a Licker. Jill's Supers are taken directly from Marvel vs. Capcom 2 as well, and Leon's supers are taken directly from Chris in UMvC3.The Street Fighter series has always been important on PlayStation ever since the 32-bit era, but to differentiate it from Smash, the series most iconic villain Akuma is used in place of mascot Ryu. As Akuma comes directly from a fighting game.... I don't feel that I need to explain his gameplay. He plays like Akuma.Heihachi now features his Tekken 7 appearance, along with stat modifications to better match that title.Klonoa functions as a command grab character. While he has access to his hoverboard and his dream sword for his triangle attacks and basic melee combat for his square attacks, his true power comes in the grabs given to him from Huepow in his circle moves. He can carry opponents after he grabs them, swing them around, perform a spine blaster, throw them into other opponents, and slam them into the ground. His actual grabs with the right stick are the same directional grabs given to every character however.Similarly to Big Daddy and Lady Maria, Artorias is a mix of his limited boss attacks and the standard gameplay moves in Dark Souls. His Light Stab, Slashing Combo, Hurricane Swing, Savage Leaping Strike, Stabbing Charge, Gliding Slash, Somersault Smashing Combo, Oozing Darkness, and One with the Abyss attacks all appear and function the same way they do in Dark Souls. He also features Dodge Roll, Parry, and Pyromancy attacks like the player characters. The veteran of stealth, Solid Snake debuts with a Big Boss alternate costume. His melee attacks from Smash appear as his Square attacks, and his Smash weaponry appear scattered throughout his moveset. His Circle moves feature a Rocket Launcher, Nikita Missile, Cypher (taking the damaging effect from Project M) and C4 remote explosive attacks. His standard pistol appears as his neutral triangle, as well as a sniper rifle, grenade, and FA-MAS. Compared to Gabe Logan, Snake is very much a Tank character. Slow moving but hard hitting.Raiden plays the same as the original game, but now features a costume resembling Gray Fox.Alucard wields the Crissaegrim as well as his dashing attacks for his square attacks. Sub weapons are mapped to triangle, featuring the Axe, Holy Water, Cross, and Rebound Stone. His cricle moves are all magical moves. His Balls of Destruction attack from Castlevania 3 is combined with his Hellfire Spell for his neutral, his bat form is upwards, his mist form is his down and functions as a counter, and his neutral is his wolf form. His familiars are utilized in his super moves, using the Demon for level 1 and the sword for level 2, and the Tetra Spirit for Level 3.Pyramidhead is the single slowest character on the roster. He has very few true combos, relying on powerful single swings in various directions with his Great Knife for the bulk of his damage. His Judgement move from Super Bomberman R appears as a counter attack. He can stun enemies with radio static, as well as summoning Bubble Head Nurses and Flesh Lifts.Isaac Clarke remains the same as his original appearance.Cloud Strife is a heavy hitting sword character with magical assistance. His Square attacks are based on his appearance in Dissidia as well as the normal attacks in the FFVII Remake. His triangle moves feature 4 Limit Breaks, Cross Slash, Blade Beam, Climhazzard, and Braver. And his circle attacks utilize magic materia, Fire, Ice, Lightning, and Destruct. His three supers consist of Matra Magic, Meteorain, and Omnislash. Summon Materia does not appear in his moveset because it takes the role of Poke Ball esque items that randomly spawn in stages.Sephiroth is extremely fast and has great range. Like cloud, his square attacks come from the Dissidia series. His Triangle attacks are Wall, Zanshen, Heaven's Light, and Hell's Gate. His Circle moves are Shadow Flare, Break, Heartless Angel, and Octaslash. His Supers are Frog at Level 1, Safer Sephiroth at Level 2, and Supernova at level 3Lara Croft is another character like Isaac Clarke who's basic attacks are all gun based. Her neutral Square being straight forward shots from her pistols, and she can run and fire at the same time. Her only Melee attack is her side square which is a few quick strikes with her knife. She also has a slide shot (similar to Cassis Cage or Harley Quinn) and a backflip shot. Her circle attacks use some of the artifacts she has collected over the years. Her circle Triangle has her throw an urn, which will cause a stagger if it hits an opponent. She can levitate with the Infada Stone, throw the Spear of Destiny, slash-dash with Excalibur, and throw the Chirugai. Her triangle attacks use her Bow from the reboot, as well as a pickaxe, flare, and bomb. Her supers include some bungee jumping shots inspired by the movies, a Survival Instincts Install Super, and a cinematic super where she blows up a helicopter containing the trapped opponents by throwing a climbing axe at it (thank you Death Battle).Gex's primary attacks utilize his tail to whip opponents and bounce off their heads. He can use the Fire and Ice breaths from all three games as well as the lightning breath and super jump from Gex 1 and the Slime powerup from 2 and 3. He can teleport using TV Static as well as click his remote for a long range static ball. Many of Sora's attacks can be ripped straight from Kingdom Hearts thanks to it's action RPG roots. His use of flow motion allows for enhanced traversal of the arena. His grabs utilize reaction commands. His circle moves make use of Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, and Areo Magic. And his triangle moves utilize his various combo attacks like Counterattack and Vicinity Break. Sora's supers involve his Drive Forms at Level 1, his Gummi Ship at Level 2, and a team up with Mickey, Donald, and Goofy at Level 3.Rayman is another nostalgic platforming mascot that got their start on PS1 (among many other places). In PlayStation All-Stars he is a blend of all eras of his history, taking on a unique design blending his classic 3D appearance and his modern appearance in Rayman: Origins and Rayman: Legends. His modern appearances give us plenty of melee attacks for his Square and Triangle attacks, while his classic games give us plenty of fodder for his circle moves like Super Helicopter, Magic Fist, and Lockjaw.Assasin's Creed is a staple of modern gaming and it's characters make perfect sense as fighters in All-Stars. The main fighter is Ezio Auditore da Firenze, and he has a differently voiced alt of Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad. Combat is an essential part of the main series, and his appearance in the SoulCalibur series gives us a good idea of the two would perform here. Making use of their hidden blades, a crossbow, smoke bombs, and a hidden pistol. They also have a counterattack with a unique property. If the attack they counter uses a weapon of any kind, they will steal that weapon for a single use of the move they counterattacked. If used on hand to hand attacks of any kind, it will simply do an enhanced damaged version of the counterattack to make up for the lack of the weapon steel. The headliner of Persona 5, the most acclaimed game in the Persona series, a series which has long prided itself in Sony exclusivity. With no mainline title ever releasing on a non-Sony console. Joker's appearance in another popular platform brawler gives us a solid basis to start from with his standard movements and attacks, with some unique abilities to this title. Joker can make use of his standard party members in his triangle attacks, with Skull, Panther, and Fox each assigned to a different direction. Joker can also actively switch Personas via his down Triangle, making use of Arsene, Yo****sune, Satan, and Jack Frost; each effecting Joker's abilities in different ways. Arsene provides a simple power boost, Jack Frost adds a freezing effect to Joker's abilities, Yo****sune increases Joker's speed with a slight stun ability added to his attacks, and Trumpeter who's Nuclear power applies burning and poison effects depending on the attack. Satanael appears in his Level 3 Super.Yakuza is a series that has rarely left the PlayStation and it's protagonist Kazuma Kiryu brings a unique moveset to the game, reminiscent of Frank West from MvC. All of his Circle Moves utilize a randomly picked up object, though each option that can be utilized on a given direction can be utilized in roughly the same way. His neutral circle allows him to select between Brawler, Beast, and Rush styles. His Legendary Style "Dragon of Dojima" is a level 3 Install Super. The only firearm in this moveset is the Level 2 Super, reflecting the weapon type's rarity in Yakuza games. He also has a differently voiced alternate costume that turns him into his friend Goro Majima. Finally we get the iconic clash between Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter! As Scorpion is already from a fighting game as well, his gameplay needs little explanation. He fights like Scorpion, minus the blood and dismemberment. For a long time now, the Guilty Gear games have been PlayStation exclusives, at least at launch. So Sol fits well here. And again, he's already from a fighting game. So his moveset and the unique mechanics from his base series will be implemented here, requiring little explanation.Abe was considered a mascot of the PS1 alongside Crash and Spyro back in the day, so of course he appears here. His Melee combat is mostly made up, inspired by and expanding apon the slapping from Abe's Exodus. He has three different explosives, a standard grenade, a thrown Bonepowder Keg, and the ability to detonate his farts (functioning like a Nikita missile from Snake). He can also throw rocks and bones (the two function identically and randomly alternate). He can command Mudokens to attack, with more powerful ones spawning based on how long you hold down the button. He can also chant to possess enemies, performing a single attack (use of an enemies move or causing the enemy to hurt themselves), before being ejected. His Supers include the Shrykull, Elum, and Slig Possession. For some reason, this forgotten little guy always comes up when talking about PlayStation nostalgia, and is another cute animal mascot to add to the roster. Many of his attacks are made special for All-Stars, as his home title doesn't provide us with much. What it does provide us with is the Gummi Saver Jump to provide a high bounce, the Golden Gobbo for a teleport, a swing of a torch, and the Clockwork Gobbo which can be remotely controlled before detonating. Croc can also throw White Crystals in an arc for a weak projectileOkay. I know. This one is really just for me. But I wanted an indie character on the roster.... and FNaF VR was revealed in a State of Play! Is that enough of a reason? No? Well, whatever. Baby is here and makes unique use of various abilities from the series. Baby can fire ice cream balls from her chest as a fast projectile that opponents can slip on when they hit the ground. She can use her Jumpscare as a temporary stun, she can inflate balloons from her fingertips to raise into the air, and can use Controlled Shock as an electrifying counter attack. Her Bidybabs are a traveling bomb attack, with a 20% chance of spawning an AP Draining Electrobab, and a 5% chance of summoning Bon-Bon who functions identically to the Sackbot. She can dash forward on her Scrap Baby Roller skates, throw her microphone in an upward arc, and Red Eyes mode is a temporary power increase which causes her to lock up after a period of time. Her supers include use of her giant chest claw, trapping everyone in a springlock suit (requiring other players to remain completely still to avoid death, and a cinematic attack that takes opponents to the Ultimate Custom Night office to be attacked by a handful of random FNaF animatronics before being finished off by Scrap Baby.
Every stage returns from the original game with minimal changes. As Specter and Dr. Nefarious are now on the playable roster, they are replaced in their respective stages with Dr. Tomoki and several Robonoids respectively. Additionally, the events on each stage last much longer. In the original title, the stage events were based on the standard 3 minute time match. Meaning if you played for longer then that for any reason after 3 minutes the stage will have just awkwardly stopped. So lengthen the events! Have the Time Station spit out more random junk, have Buzz ask more questions, have the Songbird attack more, etc etc.The main "hub" of God of War on PS4, you fight on the center platform in the middle of the lake. The bridge will rotate every so often and unleash monsters from the various other realms which attack the stage and can be defeated. Alfheim unleashes Dark Elves, Helheim spawns Revenants, and Muspelheim spawns an Ogre and some Tatzelwurms. When the lake eventually reaches the Asgard door, it crackles with electricity before a large blast explodes out from it and it opens a gateway instead to the world of War of the Monsters. Congar, Kineticlops, and Ultra V emerge from the gate and attack the stage, as well as engage in combat with Jörmungandr, Freya, and the Valkyries. The starting location of PaRappa the Rapper 2 with the single funkyest song you've ever heard in the background. You fight in the kitchen in the background with the various equipment being damaged as you fight. You can see customers coming in through the order window. Eventually the equipment becomes damaged enough that the building catches fire and must be put out by Rosco McQueen, Firefighter Extreme, from the eponymous PlayStation 1 title. This stage is based on UmJammer Lammy, specifically Stage 1. Chop Chop Master Onion appears again and is singing with Lammy's Band for some reason. You are in between the crowd and the band on the concert floor and depending on how well the band performs the audience will throw different objects at you, anything from tomatoes to flowers. Eventually, the lights will dim and you hear the Toreador March. When the lights come up the core FNaF Trio (Freddy, Bonnie, and Chica) are on stage now instead of MilkCan. You can hear a panicked and scared audience, and when the lights flicker you are in danger of attack from Foxy the Pirate Fox.Sitting in the heart of Titania, Black Forrest features two castles separated by a river. The stage will occasionally scroll vertically to focus on the two different castles as they are attacked by Red and Blue troops respectively. After a few back and forths, Jack of the Green from MediEvil appears and erects a shrubbery maze. Now the trip back and forth is more hazardous with instant kill dead ends as it scrolls.Resurrected from the original game's beta phase, Locomotion is based off of the Uncharted series. It starts out on the roof of a train going at high speed. Shortly after the start of the match, about half a minute (setting the record for fastest Invasion), Chernovan Warhawks appear and begin attacking the train. Eventually the engine is destroyed and the fight falls into some ruins crossed by a railroad track. Occasionally trains will rocket through, and the Chernovan forces are still attacking and bombing the stage.Set in the slums of Haven City from Jak II, Civilians are crowded into their homes witnessing the battle. The layout is as such. Hover cars are whizzing by. Eventually, various Yakuza from the series of the same name begin shaking down the trapped civilians. Haven City Guards appear and begin to do battle with the Yakuza, with their crossfire effecting the feild of play. From Toro's Friend Network, this stage is set in the yard outside of the Friend Lobby with a bustling highway in the background. The field opens back up again, but now you have to dodge the rampaging Katamari as it makes its rounds.A stage set in downtown Hekesville from the Gravity Rush series that was intended to be released as DLC for the first game but was sadly cancelled. You fight on the side of a building, with the gravity altered so that the side acts as the stage floor. Partway through the fight, a Gravity Storm warps the building and the fighters to the world of Journey. The building begins sinking into the sand, reducing the field of play until the building is only partly sticking out of the sand. The gravity normalizes and you fight the remainder of the match on the sands, building, and an arch pathway from Journey.Emmet Graves's home town from Starhawk, a dusty western town on a distant alien sand world. You will then emerge in a fortress above ground where the fight will conclude. You fight on the drawbridge leading in to the famous prison from The Legend of Dragoon. The Wardens are distracted by a far off battle however, which at the moment you can only hear. Eventually, the convicts from within escape and dive into the water as you finally see who was attacking the prison. None other then Admiral Razorbeard from Rayman 2: The Great Escape. His ship fires cannonballs towards the stage, not damaging the players, but causing rocks to fall, crushing players and altering the layout.Taking place on The Old Bridge from both the intro and title screen of Ico, the stage is a simple straight battlefield, although the middle occasionally falls down. After it has fallen and about a minute has passed, the dark priest Shaft from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night floats up and uses magic to **** with the stage. He creates an inverted castle, which the fight shifts too, now taking place on the underside of the bridge, with monsters from the Castlevania series will climb "up" the bridge pillars.Technically it is on the floating platform home to Valus, the first Colossi you fight in Shadow of the Colossus, with the Shrine in the background. Valus is knocked off the arena by the intro animations and spends the match trying to climb back up, occasionally slamming his club onto the platform, before eventually being trapped in a crystal via a spell from Ripto. If all the blocks change to match a specific team's color, the layout rearranges to a different course layout from the Q*Bert series. After a period of time, the warps begin spitting out Lemmings from the eponymous (apparently first party Sony) series. The Lemmings hop around changing the colors themselves and can cause a room shift if they get all the colors to match. This stage will actually use the Playroom technology to incorporate the player's room into the stage as a background if the PlayStation Camera is present (augmented by the effects from AR Studio), if not it will use the stock background from the Playroom reveal trailer. Either way, there will be players staring back at you from the screen, and their DualShock 4 Light Bar will randomly spawn objects from the Playroom (Toy Maker Toys, Alien Buddies, Ninja Bots, AR Bots, Asobi, and the Air Hockey Table). Eventually the PS4 controller will glitch and crackle with static electricity, spawning the protagonist and enemies from the notoriously terribly (first party) PS1 game Rascal. These characters are visibly glitched and broken, and will mess with the battle feild by causing objects and environment sections to also glitch out.A simple traveling stage through the beautiful paper-craft world of Tearaway. Eventually, the world is invaded by the line-work world of Vib Ribbon with the same rhythmic obstacles requiring jumping, rolling to clear without causing damage, unless you can get over top of them and dodge them, but where's the fun in that? The main hub area of Carnival Island with the carousel in the middle, functioning as a roulette wheel. The wheel can be stopped by a player attacking it, causing the camera to rotate to the arcade game selected. Either Ringers, Balloon Cart, or Hoops. A side view of the ballpark with the audience in the background and the players still trying to play the game despite the chaos. When the game reaches the next inning, the opposing team enters the field, unfortunately they're Invaders from Dark Souls and are more concerned with creating more mayhem then engaging with America's pass time.A beautiful HD recreation of the level from Cool Boarders 2, you start at the top of the mountain on a wooden platform, and after the boarders launch down the trail, the wooden supports break and the platform with the fighters sliding down after them. Occasionally the platform will be launched ahead of the boarders and they will jump your fight, potentially launching fighters if they happen to make contact. When you reach the end, a hidden Assassin from Assassin's Creed emerges from the crowd holding the Staff of Eden, using it to warp you to the top of the mountain again, now littered with objects and set pieces from different titles in the series. Instead of boarders, on this go around you are actively chased by assassins who will follow in much greater numbers, jump the platform more often, and actively target the fighters. You travel upwards Rainbow Road style up the last and longest course in the first world of Kula World. After the first go around of the course, Rau Utu from The Mark of Kri appears randomly, attacking the combatants and potentially launching the Kula to a different part of the track, moving the players with it.If Uber Mall was Big Blue, Rout 5 from Gran Turismo is Port Aero Town Drive. You race along the track in the opposite direction of the racers on a platform of Polygon Power. After a while, a crash is heard and the cars from Motor Toon Grand Prix (Gran Turismo's prototype by the same developers) begin racing along the track in the opposite direction of the Gran Turismo cars, driving much more erratically and crashing frequently.Based around the first section of Escape Plan, this stage takes you through different randomly generated challenges and progresses through a series of them, causing stage KOs to any player that can't escape the room. (Escape Plan/Astro Bot)Based on the tutorial map from No Heroes Allowed VR, you fight literally on the map with a giant Badman in the background. He repeatedly spawns monsters to try to kill the players, getting more and more frustrated as the players defeat them. Eventually he gets a devilish smile as he summons the Fortnite Battle Bus. The soldiers run around in the background ignoring you, but you are in danger from the oncoming Storm. The Storm will cause damage standing in it and will cause a stage KO after a second or two in it. Once it completely encloses the map it resembles a vortex laden Storm area from Save the World, complete with Fortnite monsters attacking the player.A large level similar to Great Cave Offensive and Temple, this space based level based on Blasto has many hazards including trash compactors, floating platforms, Do Not Press buttons, jump platforms, elevators, falling crates, and trapped Space Babes. Eventually, the Space Babes transform into monsters from Sewer Shark (Sony's first ever game not based on a movie, before the PS1 even. It was a Genesis game!) and attack. Sewer Jockeys show up to kill the monsters, but they can't tell the difference between you and the monsters. The north end of the village from Folklore, with the church, lighthouse, and graveyard. After a period of time, Polygon Power merges in elements from Dead Nation, with zombies attacking the players. Eventually the zombies are killed by a group of Folk and the battle continues uninterrupted and under observation by the victorious Folk.A simple beginning stage akin to Chop Chop Dojo and Beard Burgers, it is set on the beach that starts the original Crash Bandicoot. Gnasty Gnorc is there laughing with trapped dragons and dragon eggs in his possession, laughing as he watches the fight like a Roman emperor at the Colosseum. Eventually, Kongol from The Legend of Dragoon exits one of the warp portals (labeled Serdia) and begins doing battle with the king of the Gnorcs. The various other Dragoons from Dart's party follow after and free the dragons and eggs, relaxing over the two defeated warlords as the battle continues. The iconic beginning Hubworld from Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage. You fight on a large platform in the center with warps visible. Various characters from Ripto's Rage and Year of the Dragon exit these warps, doing an animation before exiting via another portal (including the Sorceress). He is firing at the Freakers but often hits the fighters instead. The welcome center from BioShock, in front of the Atlas statue with the water visible. Splicers from the depths of Rapture run around in the background. Eventually, the water is filled with the.... creatures from flOw. They aren't concerned with wreaking havoc however, they're just concerned with looking beautiful. The Splicers try to break the glass and succeed, flooding the area before the water is stopped by Polygon Power. It sucks the water and the creatures back into the ocean, taking the splicers with them and trapping them in the ocean to be eaten by the invading creatures. Those creatures proceed to dance for the rest of the battle, asserting beauty's domination over destruction and cynicism. Leaving the players.... enraptured. This stage takes place outside the Los Santos conference center from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Cars are driving around and behind you, with various characters from the game engaging in shootouts in the background (including CJ and Tenpenny). About a minute in, a warp effect from the Crash Bandicoot games spawns in Tiny Tiger and Dingodile on top of a vehicle driven by N. Gin. Tiny and Dingodile begin fighting the gangsters and cops around them. Tiny also tries to wreck the building, and Dingodile will fire at the fighters when he notices them. The cathedral in the castle from the original Devil May Cry. The pool which leads to the underworld is in the background, and demons appear out of it every so often, including the notorious Phantom. The cathedral is eventually stormed by Jeanne d'Arc and her party from the PSP RPG Jeanne d'Arc. Jeanne proves her badassery as she fights the demons with her cohorts, with the side effect of debris and demons being thrown at the fighters.Set in the foyer from the first Resident Evil, the walls are breakable and the players are attacked by zombies and monsters from deep within the mansion (including monsters who weren't in the first game like Nemesis and RE5 Wesker). The field of play is much larger then in the original game, with more of the forest on each side and a river on the right. A fighter from Street Fighter will appear in the background standing there impatiently, as if they made it all the way to Akuma in arcade later but you're taking up his time. Eventually, the trees in the forest are replaced with the Living Tree's from Mortal Kombat's Living Forrest, and a Mortal Kombat fighter will appear and challenge the waiting Street Fighter. Players can interact with the Living Trees by throwing opponents into their mouths.Set on a diagonal in front of the Shadow Moses facility so you can see both the crate yard and the entrance to the building. It's an upward scrolling stage similar to Alden's tower. Instead of looping, once you reach the top you stay in a fragment of the Castle Keep for the remainder of the fight. There is a large windmill in the center and plenty of support structures to jump around on. A waterfall runs down the right side. Shamblers from The Last of Us Part II will fall out of the waterfall after a time, and they function the same way they do in game. (Klonoa/The Last of Us)A simple flat stage based on the area you fight Knight Artorias in Dark Souls. Eventually, a large red chasm will open up in the background with hellfire clearly visible through it. Out rises Teriyaki Yoko from UmJammer Lammy who uses skulls to send electrical beams across the stage, knocking away players. She can be defeated, but is not considered a Stage Boss.An infinitely downward scrolling stage based on Mr. Driller. The fighters can destroy the blocks themselves and it is required to cause the screen to scroll. It’s also nearly impossible not to destroy any blocks. Eventually, you drill all the way down into The Queen’s throne room from Ico, which replaces the Mr. Driller themed background. The Queen’s attacks not only damage players but also cause massive amounts of blocks to be cleared, radically and rapidly shifting the battlefield. You fight on the bridge of the ship where the first Dead Space was set. The gravity will frequently lower when the outside access opens up. You hear roaring in the distance and are certain Necromorphs are coming. As the roaring gets closer, you see it is actually dinosaurs from Tomb Raider (dinosaurs on a spaceship!). Raptors emerge from the corridor and a T. Rex comes in from outside (somehow). The Raptors are concerned with attacking the T. Rex, and the T. Rex is concerned with making a meal of some tasty All-Stars. Eventually the dinosaurs are slain by Nalta (also from Tomb Raider) who takes a seat in the Captain’s Nest.Based on the intro location from Final Fantasy VII and set on the walkway outside the Mako Reactor. The Scorpion Sentinel as well as several other SOLDIERS appear in the background. Justice and That Man from Guilty Gear will appear simultaneously, bursting out of the Reactor Building and charged with Mako power. Justice functions as a stage boss while That Man uses his Runic Symbols to cause different magical effects on the battlefield.Based on the original Tomb Raider and set on the ramp that leads into the Scion of Qualopec. Trico from The Last Guardian will emerge from the Scion and randomly move around as he pleases, acting as both a platform and a hazard depending on how specific players interact with him. This one is a transforming stage based on the Gex series, with settings based Fairytale TV, Gexzilla, Rocket Channel, and Anime Channel. Eventually, the channel will flip to the Disney Channel and showcase worlds from the Kingdom Hearts series. Namely Agrabah, Olympus, Halloween Town, Arendelle, and the Toybox (as a reference to the much beloved Toy Story 2 on PS1). There is also a chance of getting a level based on the “Wabbit or Duck Season” level from Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time, as a tribute to another beloved PS1 licensed game. The tutorial area from Kingdom Hearts, the stage takes the form of a group of stained glass platforms surrounded by bottomless pits and surrounded by darkness. Magic doors can warp you between the platforms. Eventually, the crown from Persona 5’s first dungeon spawns in the background, bringing with it elements of Kamoshida’s Palace to fill the void. The members of the Phantom Thieves not utilized in Joker’s moveset (Mona, Queen, Oracle, Noir, Violet, Sophie, and Wolf. Randomly cycled through each time the stage is selected) try to steal the crown only to be attacked by Asmodeus. Asmodeus attacks both the Thieves and the fighters, and both groups are capable of KOing him. While his defeat can grant bonuses or boosts if a fighter defeats him, it also causes the castle to begin to crumble. Damaging the stained glass, altering the layout, and causing harm to the player. Don’t worry though, the castle only completely collapses after the match ends. This stage combines different elements from the eponymous level from the original Rayman. Mr. Sax’s Boss area is the main platform, and there are Maraca Rockets, Trumpets, and Wrong Notes in the bottomless space on a handful of platforms. Mr. Sax will eventually spawn, but instead of fighting you, an invader approaches to challenge him. He will be forced to engage in a newly written rap battle with PaRappa the Rapper’s MC King Kong Mushi. When Mr. Sax performs poorly, he will attack the players in retaliation. As we dive into the memories of Desmond from Assasin’s Creed, the battle begins in Renaissance Italy. It can shift between additional layouts based on the Kingdom of Jerusalem, American Northeast, and the Caribbean Islands, from each of the games which star one of Desmond’s ancestors. A glitch in the Animus causes it to combine with the world of SoulCalibur. The Eurydice Shrine Gallery stage merges with the Italy layout, and features Sophitia and Cassandra dueling in the background. The Sakura-Dai Gate merges with the American Northeast layout and features a fight between Mitsurugi and Taki. The Labyrinth of Moonlight merges with the Caribbean Islands and shows Kilik, Maxi, and Xianghua fighting Nightmare’s minions. Finally, the Egyptian Crypt is merges with the Kingdom layout and shows Ivy fighting Nightmare, with his defeat unleashed Inferno, causing all layouts to become engulfed in hellfire.(Persona/Silent Hill)You fight on top of a subway train as it zooms through Mementos from Persona 5. And can drop onto the train to attack fighters. This stage is set in the final boss arena from the original Yakuza game, the penthouse at the top of the tower. ODs from Sunset Overdrive (a franchise Sony acquired the rights to when the bought Insomniac) are shown to be climbing the tower and eventually break through the glass into the Penthouse. A Polygon Power portal opens, and the voice of Two-Hat Jack from Sunset Overdrive tells you to arm yourself on the house. Weapons from Sunset Overdrive emerge from the portal and can be utilized by the players as stage exclusive items on both their opponents and the ODs.A much longer version of The Pit stage from multiple Mortal Kombat titles. Complete with Blaze and Hornbuckle fighting on another bridge in the background. Eventually a volcano will appear in the background along with some buildings from Lair on PlayStation 3. Dragons from said game are fighting in the background and will firebomb the stage. Fans of the game will know that one of the original PSASBR leaks said that the game would include a stage based on Lair, and although this was later desconfirmed as fake, Lair invades this stage as a tribute to that leak.According to my research, this is the only recurring stage in the Guilty Gear series, so it makes an appearance here, bridging together it’s multiple incarnations to make a larger and more appropriate All-Stars stage. The ship will eventually fly right into the middle of a Timefall storm from Death Stranding, which will cause damage to the ship and cause certain areas to become sheltered as parts of the ship fall and it zig-zags out of the storm (think Norfair).Set right outside the factory in the beginning screen from the stockyards, taking on the single screen layout from the original Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee but the graphical style of Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty. Eventually, the Vykkers return from their multidimensional journey to capture new animals for the Gluckkons (as seen in the Salt Lake City Stage), and they’ve brought back quite the prize! Avion, Barba, and Celosia from Shadow of the Colossus emerge from the Vykker’s portal and attack the stage in a pattern.Set in the area where you beat the secret final boss in Croc: Legends of the Gobbos, although instead of the secret boss, Baron Dante is floating in the background and attacking. Vergil from Devil May Cry will appear in the background and fight with Baron Dante, eventually becoming Urizen in order to defeat him, and taking the Baron’s place in the center attacking the stage. Get it? Dante and Vergil?Primarily based on the stage showcased in the Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location trailer with Baby, Ballora, Funtime Freddy, and Funtime Foxy on stage (if Baby is a fighter, the one on stage will be colored differently). Additional details of the locations layout will have to be provided by Scott as the Circus Gallery is not seen in detail in game. William Birkin’s final form, from Resident Evil 2, will emerge from the darkness and begin tearing apart the animatronics. Mr. X will appear from the darkness later and begin attacking Birkin, but both are defeated by the animatronics when they reform as Ennard. The most iconic map from Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2. The Hawk himself is boarding on objects in the background, and eventually he will move to a different side of the school building which will cause the stage to rotate. When he gets to the area facing the school parking lot, cars from Destruction Derby will crash into the parking lot and begin crashing in to the stage.Support would continue after launch with several packs of DLC.A general note about music. Each stage has a “primary track” which remixes the two represented franchises in appropriate ways and moments depending on the dynamics of the stage. But said stage is digitally segmented. The computer knows which part, to use Dreamscape as an example, is LittleBigPlanet and which part is Buzz. This allows for dynamic soundtrack customization. In the Boxy Boy Music Menu, you can select a stage and pick which song you want to play in each section. So you can pick from lots of LittleBigPlanet and Buzz songs to create your own custom dynamic soundtrack for the stage. And this applies to every stage and every franchise. There are hundreds of songs! Happy mixing!
This pack will be given free to everyone who pre-orders the game before going up for free on the PSN Store later. I am not going to be as strict with “game-only” characters, and this pack is an example of that. Based around the DC/Marvel rivalry and utilizing both companies most popular characters recent game series as the basis for their appearance and movesets.
Spider’s appearance utilizes his webs and gadgets to become a “trap-grappler” type character. His Spider-Sense functions as a counter, and his web shooters can be used as both a quick shot, a swing attack, and a rope-based command grapple. The Impact and Electric webs, as well as the trip mine, can be used to temporarily immobilize enemies in different ways. The Spider-Drone can independently attack enemies while you cover different opponents, and the Concussion Shot and Suspension Matrix are great “get off me” tools. Spidey’s supers, however, are taken directly from the Marvel vs. Capcom games.Batman is primarily based on Arkham Knight, but his Arkham City/Asylum and Origins costumes are alternate costumes. The Batarang is a quick projectile but cannot be spammed easily, as a trade-off the button can be held down to target up to three different oponants. The Batclaw mimics Scorpion’s spear and can be angled upward to serve as an anti-air. Explosive gel can be laid down on the ground as well as on walls and other opponents to effect mobility. The Sonic Shock Batarang can stun opponents temporarily, and the smoke pellet allows for a quick escape teleport. The remote control Batarang can be guided around the screen, and the freeze blast slows down opponents (and can freeze them solid if you his them with enough quickly. The Shock Gloves are a temporary buff install that can be activated when a meter above his health and AP meter fills up. He can also counter opponents like he does in the Arkham series. His super moves are taken directly from the Injustice series, using his Beta Injustice, Injustice 1, and Injustice 2 supers.Set atop a building in Arkham City, the sounds of the gang wars below echoing as you fight. Eventually, The Raft will appear in the bay in the distance, and the Sinister Six will emerge and enter the city, doing battle with the trapped Batman villains. Dr. Octopus will climb up the building with The Joker and Harley Quinn on his back, trying to shake them, and Joker will fire at the stage. Rhino will be thrown by Bane into the platform and will be chased by the luchador as both Hulk Jump off the roof. Catwoman will swing onto the stage, using her whip to grapple on to and battle The Vulture. Electro will fly through the air while dodging Mr. Freeze’s ice blasts as both villains’ elemental attacks effect the stage. Mr. Negative can be seen battling Ra’s Al Ghul in the distance and his Negative energy warps the stage temporarily. Finally, The Scorpion will can be seen crawling along the building walls, fleeing from The Scarecrow’s fear toxin, which will flood the stage while The Scorpion is present. As the name implies, this pack includes two characters from cowboy themed games.
Rudy’s primary weapons are his hand cannon and Long Knife. The Knife is used for all of his square attacks. The Hand Cannon is a single shot blast, but can be upgraded to the Fury Shot when you hold down the button. The Power Glove is a dashing single his melee attack that can also be charged. The Fire, Earth, Hades, and Holy Runes can be cycled through to grant temporary buffs. He can throw bombs as a keep away strategy. The Phaser, Bazooka, and Twin Orbs also appear as part of his moveset. Guardians and The Arc Smash are utilized as two of his supers. The more traditional Cowboy compared to Rudy, John uses all the standard Cowboy Weapons. He has a six-shot revolver that needs to be reloaded, a combat knife, tossed explosives, a lasso, a revolver, a repeater, a bow, and a tomahawk. Each used in a handful of different ways depending on the attack. The Dead Eye System and a Mounted Gatling Gun are used as supers. He also has Arthur Morgan as a differently voiced alternate costume.Set in the town of Armadillo from Red Dead Redemption, in the town square. The citizens of the town are gathered round watching the fight, like an old west shootout. Zeikfried from Wild Arms will crash into the town from the sky and attack the players occasionally with his Glumzamber. This pack contains two fighters from retro PS1 shooter based games, proving that Sony’s gun obsession goes back all the way to their debut.
A very simple character from an early FPS, Robbit from Jumping Flash has a mostly All-Star original moveset, though it does make use of Robbit’s laser cannons, Cherry Bombs, Rockets, Spinners, and Roman Candles. He also has a triple jump.Captain Blasto uses, what else, his blaster, in combination with his jetpack and grenades to be a very mobile multidirectional bumblebee fighter. He also uses a handful of his games special weapons, namely the Heat Seeker, Ice Gun, Flamethrower, and Mine.A Poke Floats esque stage combining elements from World 3-1 and the Bonus Levels from Jumping Flash. The stage is constantly and infinitely rising, requiring fighters to constantly be jumping. The invasion element causes the stage to merge with Whoopie World from Rocket: Robot on Wheels (the game was Sucker Punch’s first, and they owned the trademark. So despite being made for the N64, it’s now a Sony property and perfect for inclusion here). Random parts of the park have been merged into the rising platforms and Rocket is riding around and jumping from platform to platform, enemies following him and attacking the fighters if they intersect with one.Two fondly remembered but sadly forgotten jungle-themed platforming mascots join the fight in this pack
Tomba is a wild and inconsistent fighter. His Boomerang is a good strong long distance move, his blackjack is a fast close range weapon with lots of mobility, his hammer is a slow but strong weapon perfect for launching, his grapple lets him swing under platforms and jump up onto high platforms, and he has a leaping command grab attack. His kit is odd, and leaves him with powerful strengths and glaring weaknesses.Ty’s moveset comes from his varied arsenal of boomerangs. The default boomerang is used as a melee weapon, the Kaboomerang explodes, The Plasmarang stuns, the Warperang allows him to teleport, The Lassorang works like… a lasso, The Blazerang sets enemies on fire and detonates explosives, the Blazzarang freezes enemies, The Infinirang slows down enemies it hits, and the Smasharang is a heavy and hard hitting but slow projectile.Based on the Forest of 100 Flowers from the original Tomba! after the curse has been lifted. It has a Green Hill Zone esque valley and Koma Pigs will slide down on occasion. Eventually, the EyeToy overlay appears over the stage and the various minigames from EyeToy: Play begin effecting the stage in unique ways, picking a small handful of the twelve each time the stage is picked. Two of Square Enix’s master swordsmen from some of the cult classics in their library.
Coming from a combo heavy action game, Raziel from The Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver series and its sequel has the building blocks of his moveset already present in his base game, with very little modifications needed. His light, heavy, and lunge combos are all present and function as they should. His main weapon is the titular Soul Reaver, and he has telekinetic powers that can be used in his grabs. He can use spells such as Energy Bolt, Repel, Stun, and Lightning. He can also make use of Dark Gifts for his supers, namely Fury, Berserk, and Immolate. His primary costume is based off of his appearance in Blood Omen 2, but his other appearances are selectable as alternate costumes. As he’s from an Action RPG, Brave Fencer Musashi is another character who’s moveset can be almost directly translated. His Tenderize and Desperado attacks are featured in his square moves. Dashing Pierce, Shish Kebab, Crosswire Cut, and Rumparoni-SP are used in his triangle moves. His circle moves use the water, fire, and wind scrolls. His neutral circle allows him to copy another fighters’ neutral circle with his Assimilation technique.A quaint looking village from Brave Fencer Mushashi. You fight in the corner between the Inn and the Restaurant with the fountain in the center. Eventually, fog will roll in and the lighting will darken. Jin Sakai from Ghosts of Tsushima will appear in a flash of lightning in the background, and will begin stealth attacking the fighters.Team Fortress 2 and Borderlands are two of the best-known team/class-based shooting games out there, so including their worlds in All-Stars is a no brainer.
While Lilith is the primary character, Maya and Amara are also playable as alternately voiced skins. Their moveset, thusly, combines the powers and skills of all three sirens. They are equipped with an SMG and combat rifle, but they only functions as a single move each. Amara’s Brawler moves make up the Square attacks, and Phaseslam is the down-triangle. Phasegrasp is used as a side-triangle, but is reworked to be more like Shang Tsung’s rising fire. Phaselock is her neutral triangle and causes the oponant it hits to become unable to attack for the same duration as a stun but allowing them mobility. Phasecast is their side-circle and sends forward a dashing astral projection of the chosen siren to damage opponents in front of them. Phasewalk is the neutral circle and turns her intangible for a short period of time. The Phasewalk/Phaseblast ability is a down-circle counter.I would argue that Team Fortress 2’s Pyro is the most iconic character in from the game, so they make the jump to all-stars! Their melee square attacks utilize the fire axe. Their flamethrower is utilized in a variety of ways in their triangle moves. Their circle moves include a compressed air shot, a flare gun blast, the Thermal Thruster jetpack, and the Gas Passer, which will make the enemy it hits take increased damage from your fire blasts. You can also wear the Pyro’s costume from the original Team Fortress. The opening location from the original Borderlands game, Fryertown. The Bounty Board is dead center, with the clinic and weapons store on either side. Other Borderlands characters from the non-siren class appear in the background fighting. Eventually, Polygon Power will merge this area with the 2Fort from Team Fortress 2. The Red or Blue Team, changing each time the stage is picked, will then engage in battle with the randomly selected Vault Hunters. Chaos ensues. There is a one in one hundred chance that both groups will have to unite against the Bread Monster from the Team Fortress 2 “Expiration Date” short. This monster can be defeated as a stage boss.A cult classic wonder meets a lost original all-star.
Fans of All-Stars will know the Ellen from PS3’s Folklore was a character planned by the original developers who ended up being cut. So just like Zack, she is finally included here. Her attacks utilize the Folk who she has absorbed. Namely the Boggart, Thrumpin, Bergamot, Wryneck, Barrager, Fraxinus, Striker, Henky, Dracae, Cyhraeth, Ambush, and Browney.Jade, from Beyond Good and Evil. She’s proficient with martial arts and utilizes her trusty Daï-jo. She can fire pink disks with her Gyrodisk Launcher. Players of Frank West in MvC will be familiar with how Jade utilizes her camera. Her Super Attack (the mechanic from BGAE, not her Super Moves) allows her to fire off quick energy bolts and perform a powerful ground pound. While her tools come from her original game, the way she uses them will have to be invented for this title to flesh out the moveset. The big open area in front of and around the Akuda Bar in Beyond Good and Evil. Flowers from the PlayStation 3 title Flower begin floating around the stage, gathering more petals and creating a bigger cluster of flowers, air currents can also be utilized by the fighters. Be careful though, if you disrupt the flowers hazards from Flower will begin spawning on the stage including broken power lines and a power station. Two “anime” characters who started out in the similar mediums of Visual Novels and Manga respectively before making a huge splash in the general gaming market.
Apparently, Sabre in Smash is the Japanese equivalent to Sans in Smash in America, and as I was informed by fellow Smashboards user @Shroob , Sony’s music publishing arm has had a big hand in Fate/Grand Order. So Sabre makes perfect sense to include here. Thankfully, she’s already been in a fighting game, so her moveset will be largely based on and directly taken from Fate/unlimited codes.Goku: Finally. I’ve trained all my life for this moment. I’ve beaten the best the world can throw at me and I’m ready to test my skills in the Ultimate contest! I…
Roshi: I couldn’t get you in.
Goku: What?
Roshi: The tournament organizer is a big stickler for the rules. No matter how many people sign my petitions, the samurai won’t budge.
Goku: Dang it! I really thought I had a chance this time.
Roshi: Now hold on, I couldn’t get you in that one, but I could get you in this other one.
*Hands Goku an invitation*
Goku: Fine! If the samurai master won’t let me in his tournament, I guess I’ll just have to become the champion in PlayStation All-Stars STADIUM!
A shoutout to the smash community and all the memes throughout the years. Based primarily off of FighterZ, his design is given the same approach as the other fighting game characters (translating the original games mechanics and moves as best as possible). The temple from the Fate series as pictured here. Eventually, Polygon Power will merge the area with the World Tournament Arena as pictured here. One of three DragonBall villains (Cell, Freiza, or Majin Buu) will attack the stage, only to be fought off by a Fate character. Either ???, ???, or ???. Decided at random. Leading to 9 different fight combinations.
Bada bing bada boomboards!I've never been around here for april fools either
surely they can't give me a better avatar than what I already have right?
Inb4 baboomboards and everyone gets my avatar
Nothing wrong with 6. It was pretty good.I'll probably just skip to 6, the main reason I don't own 4 or 5 is because id rather get that physical collection.
I'll probably do a run of Project X Zone 2 before I get to 6 because the Kiryu and Majima in that game are pulled from between 4 and 5
not surprised by Cartoon Network doing it, since they've been paying respects to every way of life for a good while nowCartoonetwork did the same thing so it seems they are all posting it.
Nickelodeon has usually backed away from these kinds of things, so them slowly doing things like this is progress for them. The preach is more of a yayWhat do you mean, "preach to Nickelodeon"
Heh, I remember the Reggieboards period.there's usually a one day site gag, completely replacing the site layout and avatars
last year we had Reggieboards, our bodies were not ready.Aside from me who totally called it, but that's beside the point
WhereI'm glad this post is getting likes, but after 3 weeks of work I was kind of hoping I would get some feedback/responses.
One of my favorite things about X Zone 2's plot is that throwaway line where Majima says Phoenix defended him in court once and Phoenix remembers "The Tojo clan trial" I want to see THAT crossover, it sounds incredible.Bada bing bada boomboards!
That's uh the best I got. Go all silly profile pics and stuff.

I'm sorted.
Nothing wrong with 6. It was pretty good.
Also doing a run of Project X Zone 2 is pretty cool. I did another playthrough a few weeks back but got bored around the final chapters. Gonna go back to it.
I didn't really think a LocoRoco character would work in battle if I'm being honest.Where

Really hope things get better for you mate.I'll probably be around tomorrow to see what theme we get for April Fools and after that It will depend on whether or not I feel there's something huge for anyone here to share at least in my point of view.
Not truly on the best mood to be around here, thanks to events from yesterday and today which I seriously don't want to talk about.
They also had the evil doctor from Ratchet & Clank.tfw a LocoRoco was in the initial PSABR concept art roster

At this point, I feel confident at least two people on the whole site would be thrilled with me out of the site. It'd be sad not having you around here anymore but you should do whatever's best for you.
i simply cannot imagineHow they expected to get a blob that rolls around to fight is beyond me.
Dude don't be leaving. I'm not in the best mood either and I said I was gonna leave once the latest direct aired. That didn't happen.I'll probably be around tomorrow to see what theme we get for April Fools and after that It will depend on whether or not I feel there's something huge for anyone here to share at least in my point of view.

Well if that's true then forget those people they can both suck an egg.At this point, I feel confident at least two people on the whole site would be thrilled with me out of the site.
Hopefully that is just my anxiety making me go conspiranoic... But at this point I don't even know anymore.
Wait... People think I'm leaving forever?Dude don't be leaving. I'm not in the best mood either and I said I was gonna leave once the latest direct aired. That didn't happen.
If needs be you can still talk to me on Discord and such with a few others if you don't feel up for here.
Puff at least has arms and sing attacks.
???I never gave you any choice in this one...
on an unrelated note...Nickelodeon really went thereThere was a problem fetching the tweetpreach to Nickelodeon y'all
Iirc There’s evidence in Let’s go files that tied back to the stars rumor, don’t remember if it was the code name or assists, but there was something there. Could be wrong.I'm well aware, but then people bring up Pokémon Stars and Star Fox: Grand Prix so of course I'm still gonna remain skeptical.
But if their source did really does pull a fast one on everyone and reveals it was a prank tomorrow everyone is gonna want that person's head on a stick. And I'm not ruling this out of the realm of possibility yet.
...........................................................Oh. I thought it was for a long time or something but it's ok to take a breather for a few days or so. Unfortunately for now outside of here I've only really got my best friend IRL to talk to so I'm a little clingy to here now.Wait... People think I'm leaving forever?
Ok, I can understand that two or three people here would love for that to be the case.
But I'm not doing so forever to their dissapointment. I'll just log off most of the internet besides the one or two Discord servers I feel peaceful on until I manage to take control over all the crap going on IRL.
Tbf scrolling up strongly suggests he's saying it as a good thing???
What they're doing is... admirable? What the hell are you on about?
I don't dare to call some of those people out since as I said this could all end up being a big missundertanding and I could end up making unnecessary drama over something which could not be real in the end............................................................Oh. Then for those few people who love you to leave just call them out. I think you're an interesting person to talk to anyways and I think the majority would agree.
Either way, I hope that things go well for you.Wait... People think I'm leaving forever?

If you need to talk about this there's always our discord server, surely everyone there would be more than willing to listen.I don't dare to call some of those people out since as I said this could all end up being a big missundertanding and I could end up making unnecessary drama over something which could not be real in the end.
The only thing I could say is that those two or three people are also on Discord, one has potentially blocked me and the other just seems to not want any kind of contact with me at all.
I literally fear to go further than that.
I may consider It.If you need to talk about this there's always our discord server, surely everyone there would be more than willing to listen.
