If vividly recall Bakugan saying that he didn’t care what anyone, and I mean anyone, thought about him, so if he truly did not care, why would he come back to Smashboards to look at what people were saying? And why would he then get someone to say how he felt about it? If he truly didn’t care, that’d be pointless. That makes no sense to me.

Also, I don’t think “being unique” is deemed as bad here. I like FNAF, which a good majority of the users here don’t, and as far as I’m aware, that changes nothing about how people perceive me. The issue was that you got repetitive very quickly, and posted memes at inappropriate times, not that you like card games. There are a lot of card game lovers here.

That being said, though, I agree it was a touch uncalled for people to talk about him behind his back but... That’s the only part of this post I actually agree with. You’re a nice guy, I’m sure, but I feel like you need to take a step back and think about this a tad more.

Doom as a franchise as been on my mind alot lately, so I been tempted to get into it one way or the other, especially since FPS aren't a genre I habe much experience with, so why not start with the franchise that basically codified alot of the tropes we know about the genre?

That's your problem right there. Unlike tree branches, rock materials (rock, iron, clay, gold) can only be gotten once a day from a rock. So if your brother plays before you, there's nothing left for you to gather short of doing island tours. It's a pretty big oversight, I think.

"I originally wasn’t going to do this, but on second thought I realized I may have been a bit too cryptic with me leaving, but I didn’t want to make the obligatory sap story “bye bye I’m leaving” post and just “Vanish Delete” my account instead because I felt that would get on yalls nerves more than if I just vanished.

I’m gonna keep this brief as possible because I don’t want this to sound like a post-mortem sap story post that I send via a tiny loophole, just a clarification.

For starters, I read a decent chunk of what y'all said about me, and while I’m not going to go into how I reacted(because again, I want to avoid that whole sap story thing) I will say that yall really missed the subtext where me just vanishing should imply I didn’t want to be talked about, yet here we are. sigh...

Most of you hit the nail on the head immediately: Yes I deleted my account voluntarily.

But none of you actually got the reason why I left correct. I want to keep the reason why I left up for interpretation, but I will say it has pretty much nothing to do with “me not fitting in,” “people no like my very specific ****posts” etc, and much more to do with my own sanity. I’ve come to hate this place, that stupid alert bell in particular, and I don’t regret what I’ve done at all.

I will say this, y'all are nice people. I can think of...like 1 person who I legit dislike in any sort of way. But I hate how if you do anything out of the ordinary, or just try to be unique in any way(such as bring an unpopular opinion to the table) 9/10 times you almost immediately become the subject of a long circlejerk effect which causes everyone to hate you. I’ll admit most of the times that happened to me, that was simply my own fault. But I’ve seen it happen way too much with other users, and that just isn’t the kinda place for me. I also don’t have a big interest in Smash anymore(when back when I first joined I was fanatical about it) so this decision, in the end, was loooooonnnng overdue.

As a somewhat obvious conclusion. I don’t plan on coming back. Ever. I’ve already had my fair share of being that one guy who goes out of line and gets shot at hard, thank you very much. But at the end of the day, when one door closes, another one opens. I won’t miss any of you tbh, but I’ve had fun here. Goodbye..."

For starters for someone not wanting a sob story or attention, why speak now? It’s been quite some time since they left and this thread spent like half a page on him and that’s it.
Posting it now means they still lurk and it feels like bait to get appeals from people. A lot like a certain other user that destroyed this thread and site not to long ago.

Well, I thought that I was going to get bashed somewhat for my opinion, but it seems that a lot of people here, share my thoughts, so I guess I’ll just say it. For starters, him leaving isn’t some hint that he doesn’t want to be talked about anymore. If he leaves without giving anyone an explanation or reason as to why, how are we supposed to know he doesn’t want to be talked about? And if he didn’t want to be talked about, why is he still forwarding messages onto these boards? I honestly don’t get it. He keeps saying he doesn’t want to be talked about, and then does stuff like this. This has happened before, and the best example I can think of off the top of my head is him saying that it’s funny that people don’t tag him, despite him saying that he doesn’t want people to tag him. It’s contradictory. There’s quite a lot of contradictions here, actually. He says “I’ve come to hate this place” and later says “but I’ve had fun here”. It’s just hard for me to understand where he’s coming from here. Also, just saying “I won’t miss any of you” seems a bit disrespectful towards all of the people who have gone out of their way to talk with him, and try to be his friend.

Bakugan, if you’re reading this, I seriously doubt people here hate you, but there was a better way to handle this.

The whole situation seems like one of those people who say they don't care but actually do, but it's just a recipe for toxicity and pain when you can't look at yourself and try and adjust your behavior.

A simple goodbye would've been fine, and I'm sure more would've sympathized and understood if they just felt like they didn't belong here. I understand that you can be angeres by having seen people talk about you behind your back, but part of maturing as a person is realising that even though others might say some things that hurt you, you can look deep within yourself and know that such behavior isn't worth your time. Sure, you can also defend yourself, but there's a difference between defending yourself and just wanting to stir drama by phrasing it like it's everyone's fault for why you left.

This whole thing could've been softened if you were soft in your word choice, saying a simplified "I'm leaving because I don't feel welcomed here, and I've noticed some people haven't shown a positive reception of me". Yeah, it's still sad, but the only other way you would've felt better here was if you changed yourself, and you made it abundantly clear you weren't going to do that, and while that's not necessarily the healthiest mindset, it's still something people can understand at least.

But I digress. Hope you enjoy yourself and live a tranquil life.

It goes back about a year now but I really can’t say anymore then that. They got banned, the social thread in nintenzone only has like 16 pages because of it, and a lot of drama and site infrastructure got changed
