I never talked badly about them. In fact, even in that post, I ended up making it out to be a more personal message to them and offering stuff they could've done differently to at least deserve a more graceful send off.

Bakugan opened the door for it himself. By sending out an open letter to this thread's regulars and visitors of this long-winded, contradictory explanation of his departure, all the while insisting he doesn't miss or care about anyone here, he's giving people a reason to continue talking about and criticize him.

I'm not saying it's right to talk about people behind their backs all the time. But he has no one but himself to blame if it bothers him, and from what I can tell, he is still reading what people are saying about him anyway.

Hey NonSpecificGuy , since you're the guy with the DoomGuy Slayer avi, do you recommend Doom 64 as a starter game for someone new to the franchise? Or do you think that, no matter what, the OG Doom or Doom (2016) are the best first Doom game?

If you can get your hands on 2016 get that one first. It introduces you to the series and the demons of the games and it's difficult enough to prep you for what could be a rude awakening in the earlier games. Doom 64 is very Doom. What I mean is it can sometimes ramp up in difficulty with no warning making some of the game bear impossible if you're inexperienced. If you ARE going to jump into Ultimate (Original) Doom on Switch on your own then I recommend starting at a low difficulty. Maybe the lowest. This gives you room to breathe and explore without becoming frustrated.

And yeah, every Doom has secrets so exploring is a key part of all of them and unlike Doom 2016, and just like games of it's time, it is very minimal. You gotta do some searching and pressing A on random walls.

If I had to be completely honest, no, I don't think 64 is a great place to start. I think Ultimate Doom or Doom 2016 are the way to go but if you just want to get your feel of Doom and specifically want 64? Go for it! They're all a bloody fun time.

I recommend Doom 3 last though. The game is good. It's just not Doom. It's weirdly Survival Horror and kind of goes against all the other games more bombastic guns blazing approach.

I’m gonna keep this brief as possible because I don’t want this to sound like a post-mortem sap story post that I send via a tiny loophole, just a clarification.

For starters, I read a decent chunk of what y'all said about me, and while I’m not going to go into how I reacted(because again, I want to avoid that whole sap story thing) I will say that yall really missed the subtext where me just vanishing should imply I didn’t want to be talked about, yet here we are. sigh...

Most of you hit the nail on the head immediately: Yes I deleted my account voluntarily.

But none of you actually got the reason why I left correct. I want to keep the reason why I left up for interpretation, but I will say it has pretty much nothing to do with “me not fitting in,” “people no like my very specific ****posts” etc, and much more to do with my own sanity. I’ve come to hate this place, that stupid alert bell in particular, and I don’t regret what I’ve done at all.

I will say this, y'all are nice people. I can think of...like 1 person who I legit dislike in any sort of way. But I hate how if you do anything out of the ordinary, or just try to be unique in any way(such as bring an unpopular opinion to the table) 9/10 times you almost immediately become the subject of a long circlejerk effect which causes everyone to hate you. I’ll admit most of the times that happened to me, that was simply my own fault. But I’ve seen it happen way too much with other users, and that just isn’t the kinda place for me. I also don’t have a big interest in Smash anymore(when back when I first joined I was fanatical about it) so this decision, in the end, was loooooonnnng overdue.

As a somewhat obvious conclusion. I don’t plan on coming back. Ever. I’ve already had my fair share of being that one guy who goes out of line and gets shot at hard, thank you very much. But at the end of the day, when one door closes, another one opens. I won’t miss any of you tbh, but I’ve had fun here. Goodbye..."

I don't know what other people were saying about him, but I'll say now that it's **** like this that always bothered me about him. "I won't miss any of you" is such a dickish thing to say, makes him sound like a real prick.

He would complain all the time about his parents taking his things away for having bad grades, well stop spending the majority of your ****ing time on internet forums and you'll probably get better grades.

Like for real, he deletes his account and then continues to watch the thread to see what people say about him? Do something more productive with your time.

I worry too much about how the world finds me or what is going on with the people I care about, and not as much about my personal health or enjoyment of life.

Giving the internet a break could do both the people I like and I a lot of good.

Yeah, It is true that It is thanks to my irl friends and some of my Smashboards friends such as Osby or DerpingPikachu that I am motivated to keep going.


But still, It should also be important to put enough focus on our own well being and not worry too much about the health and safety of others if they constantly seem to be safe as of now.
If they are completely ok that should mean they are likely to get out of this too, so I should not worry too much when It isn't needed yet.

Honestly if its stressing you out, its probably not too bad of an idea to limit how much time you spend thinking or reading about the virus. Keep practicing good hygeine and social distancing obviously, bit worrying too much can sometimes do more harm then good.
