Dammit curiosity, stop getting the better of me!It goes back about a year now but I really can’t say anymore then that. They got banned, the social thread in nintenzone only has like 16 pages because of it, and a lot of drama and site infrastructure got changed
It’s probably not best to mention it here. I’ll just PM you it, if you wish.Dammit curiosity, stop getting the better of me!
OK, I'm visioning a "This the Internet, I do the **** I want. I'm also bat **** crazy cause I was probably dropped as a kid." kind of guy.
Seriously what did you have to do to pull off a seismic shift of a forum. Spam conspiracy theorist propaganda?
boy that’s a whole lot more than a campfire storyJust asking but who was this user? And how long ago? Did some lurking before here but not enough.
Just pretty curious and how bad was that person.
Destroying the forums?! I'm interested with this campfire story. Must have been a real prick.
Bakugan opened the door for it himself. By sending out an open letter to this thread's regulars and visitors of this long-winded, contradictory explanation of his departure, all the while insisting he doesn't miss or care about anyone here, he's giving people a reason to continue talking about and criticize him.its pretty nice of yall to talk about a person behind their back
No they were very manipulative of people but that’s the last I’ll say on thatDammit curiosity, stop getting the better of me!

Dude, calm. You've watched more TV today than what I've watched in the past two months at least.Today I've seen the original Tron, Tron Legacy, the first episode of Tron Resistance, Darkwing Duck, 90s Ducktales and reboot Ducktales.
He sure came back to type this lmaoI don’t plan on coming back. Ever.
Lmao, true.Dude, calm. You've watched more TV today than what I've watched in the past two months at least.
If you can get your hands on 2016 get that one first. It introduces you to the series and the demons of the games and it's difficult enough to prep you for what could be a rude awakening in the earlier games. Doom 64 is very Doom. What I mean is it can sometimes ramp up in difficulty with no warning making some of the game bear impossible if you're inexperienced. If you ARE going to jump into Ultimate (Original) Doom on Switch on your own then I recommend starting at a low difficulty. Maybe the lowest. This gives you room to breathe and explore without becoming frustrated.HeyNonSpecificGuy , since you're the guy with the Doom
GuySlayer avi, do you recommend Doom 64 as a starter game for someone new to the franchise? Or do you think that, no matter what, the OG Doom or Doom (2016) are the best first Doom game?
Wait, I thought the original Doom locked you out of half the game when you played the easiest difficulty by locking you into a dark room full of Demons. If you can get your hands on 2016 get that one first. And yeah, every Doom has secrets so exploring is a key part of all of them and unlike Doom 2016, and just like games of it's time, it is very minimal. You gotta do some searching and pressing A on random doors.
If I had to be completely honest, no, I don't think 64 is a great place to start. I think Ultimate Doom or Doom 2016 are the way to go but if you just want to get your feel of Doom and specifically want 64? Go for it! They're all a bloody fun time.
I recommend Doom 3 last though. The game is good. It's just not Doom. It's weirdly Survival Horror and kind of goes against all the other games more bombastic guns blazing approach.
Hopefully all the work pays up in the end for good stuff!I'm doing some school work right now, for those wondering what I've been doing.
In fact, I've been working on it for a handful of hours today. When I had to endure my mom & younger sister being so goddamn irritating about my class performance....
...Thanks, bud.Hopefully all the work pays up in the end for good stuff!
The code doesn’t seem to work for me. Can you recheck the code? Or maybe you accidentally limited it to friends only?Guh-Huzzah! the dodo code is 0HPHN
**** coursework. Meant to start remote learning Thursday properly as Monday was teething.I'm doing some school work right now, for those wondering what I've been doing.

If it does I was never aware of it.Wait, I thought the original Doom locked you out of half the game when you played the easiest difficulty by locking you into a dark room full of Demons.
Let’s try it again, I accidentally set it to friends only. F21FH.The code doesn’t seem to work for me. Can you recheck the code? Or maybe you accidentally limited it to friends only?
I don't know what other people were saying about him, but I'll say now that it's **** like this that always bothered me about him. "I won't miss any of you" is such a dickish thing to say, makes him sound like a real prick.Bakugan asked me to relay a message:
"I originally wasn’t going to do this, but on second thought I realized I may have been a bit too cryptic with me leaving, but I didn’t want to make the obligatory sap story “bye bye I’m leaving” post and just “Vanish Delete” my account instead because I felt that would get on yalls nerves more than if I just vanished.
I’m gonna keep this brief as possible because I don’t want this to sound like a post-mortem sap story post that I send via a tiny loophole, just a clarification.
For starters, I read a decent chunk of what y'all said about me, and while I’m not going to go into how I reacted(because again, I want to avoid that whole sap story thing) I will say that yall really missed the subtext where me just vanishing should imply I didn’t want to be talked about, yet here we are. sigh...
Most of you hit the nail on the head immediately: Yes I deleted my account voluntarily.
But none of you actually got the reason why I left correct. I want to keep the reason why I left up for interpretation, but I will say it has pretty much nothing to do with “me not fitting in,” “people no like my very specific ****posts” etc, and much more to do with my own sanity. I’ve come to hate this place, that stupid alert bell in particular, and I don’t regret what I’ve done at all.
I will say this, y'all are nice people. I can think of...like 1 person who I legit dislike in any sort of way. But I hate how if you do anything out of the ordinary, or just try to be unique in any way(such as bring an unpopular opinion to the table) 9/10 times you almost immediately become the subject of a long circlejerk effect which causes everyone to hate you. I’ll admit most of the times that happened to me, that was simply my own fault. But I’ve seen it happen way too much with other users, and that just isn’t the kinda place for me. I also don’t have a big interest in Smash anymore(when back when I first joined I was fanatical about it) so this decision, in the end, was loooooonnnng overdue.
As a somewhat obvious conclusion. I don’t plan on coming back. Ever. I’ve already had my fair share of being that one guy who goes out of line and gets shot at hard, thank you very much. But at the end of the day, when one door closes, another one opens. I won’t miss any of you tbh, but I’ve had fun here. Goodbye..."
Ngl, this is a suggestion I should apply more to myself.continues to watch the thread to see what people say about him? Do something more productive with your time.
Anybody who uses Smashboards should decorate their house like this.Added my Switch FC to my profile, just in case.
In other news, finally a place where I belong:

The 2 hour fishing session might or might not have been worth it.
Few of us were wondering what happened to you. Far quieter than usual. This may be slightly irresponsible of me, but I just added all Corona and Pandemic related phrases to my blocked words list on twitter. Now I can look at twitter without having to double my Zoloft intake (I’ve never actually done that. That would be bad. It’s a joke).
This could apply to me honestly but a few people here and IRL friends are one of my reasons why I'm going through this sane. Can't exactly go out. Plus I've had writers block recently.continues to watch the thread to see what people say about him? Do something more productive with your time.
This is pretty much what my real-life room looks like anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯Anybody who uses Smashboards should decorate their house like this.
Not sure, honestly. I went and joined, and suddenly I got a connection error. I re-entered the code, and it said that it was invalid. I’ll just open up my gates. Taigiry already gave me the ores, but there was something else I wanted to give you. We can visit your island another time. The Dodo Code is NCN2N.YoGuh-Huzzah! What happened?
Yeah, It is true that It is thanks to my irl friends and some of my Smashboards friends such as Osby or DerpingPikachu that I am motivated to keep going. This could apply to me honestly but a few people here and IRL friends are one of my reasons why I'm going through this sane. Honestly if its stressing you out, its probably not too bad of an idea to limit how much time you spend thinking or reading about the virus. Keep practicing good hygeine and social distancing obviously, bit worrying too much can sometimes do more harm then good. This may be slightly irresponsible of me, but I just added all Corona and Pandemic related phrases to my blocked words list on twitter. Still working on my PSAS Mega-Post. Writing stages is kind of boring. But I’m too far in to give up now.
