Well, I am done with Silver's Lineart. Tedious as Hell, but I am pleased with the result. Now into the meme hedgehog himself...maybe tomorrow, or later. I'm a bit tired. -u-

Day 1 of writing stage concepts.

Completed: 20 out of 68 new stages.

Observation: coming up with stages is less fun then gaming out characters and movesets. Still fun. But less fun.

I wish I possessed even a sliver of your talent for art but I always have to remind myself that IT'S NO USE!

...All jokes aside, that drawing is shaping up quite well and I can't wait to see the final version.

People used to tell me I had no talent for drawing and that I would never do justice to what my grandfather did through the years as an artist.

But with time I managed to improve and last year my drawing style went through quite the good Evolution:

Don't fear to return to practice your drawing skills, since sooner or later you could finally achieve a great skill.

xD Oh my, I was expecting that one line to pop up at one point! (And I seriously mean it, if you would ever want to get into drawing, you could, it's never too late...though it takes years, maybe less if you are quick to pick things up).

:) Glad you think so! I hope the final result is worth the wait!

Pretty damn good job if I do say so myself. I love how he turned out.

:O Tu abuelo fue un artista?! :3 Genial! :p Entonces lo tienes en la sangre! Sigue practicando, y no dejes que la gente te diga lo contrario!

:3 Thank you, Wademan! xD I think I haven't spend this much time into a drawing in quite some time, without counting the commissions. I hope the final result is worth it. The good thing is that Irish doesn't have as many details as Silver does...or are least are simpler. o-o

Pretty sure I was born 4 years too late to really experience Banjo and Kazooie, as evidenced by the fact I know nothing about him. It’s a shame too, I probably would’ve loved his inclusion in Smash if I knew him from my childhood. I had a point but now I’ve gone off topic. I hope the Banjo-Redooie rumors are true, and if they are there’s a good chance I’ll get it. A remake would be a good chance to experience something I missed out on.

Just finished some test art. Looks like horse crap but I at least experimented some, so hey, what the heck.

I don’t really feel like I’m improving, but I feel like I’m on the path to may improving, so that’s nice.

Looks awesome! Mind if you tag me when more progress updates come out for this?
I would love to be tagged too.
:O Oh, sure! Though I don't know if I will post as many updates with Irish's progress. xD It will depend on how I feel.

Oh come on, Taylor. Don't say that. Though, it is pretty normal to feel that way, for ANY artist, no matter the skill level they are in, because improvement and evolution of one's work NEVER stops.

:D I really like how it looks! And you gave it the right usettling vibe with the dark coloring. :)

Seeing like AndreaAC AndreaAC @Taylor F etc and all post their stuff here and I'm like.

"Please my baby, my Personal Projects Showcase is hungry for more posts!"

This was not a marketing ploy by the way or something.

I knew Jasper was gonna die.

Also, people are theorizing that the potential threat besides corrupted Steven might be the Cluster after Steven tries to heal it?

Still want his ass to go ballistic tho

LOL I do sound like every other bloody 14 year old artist dont i lol

I honestly don’t like it, and I really haven’t seen any signs of improvment, but I’m hoping that changes.

I appreciate the encouraging words, though. :)

Maybe:
The theories that the cluster played a part in forming wormy boy is true. Feels unlikely but you never know. I can’t see it be cured as there’s billions on gem shards in there. Most of which probably can’t form the full gems currently.

Should be interesting though.

And you said your lines weren’t clean.
xD HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I mean, I am trying to make them as clean as possible, but I had some mishaps here and there, and I might still do some changes to some of them! But it's because most of the time I do sketches rather than stuff with lineart. Because again, if I do that, it is more tiresome and time consuming. Right now I decided to take that step because I felt inspired because of Wademan94 Wademan94 's work and because I haven't drawn Silver in ages.

xD You know, I am going to look through my old stuff to see if I can find any old drawing of Silver so you can see how I started and I even felt embarrassed of it. I have always struggled with Sonic characters, but with the enough motivation and inspiration, it comes out decently.

I mean, the gems in the cluster probably could be healed, It'd just take a lot of time. There has to be ten thousand gems in there, and not all of their shards would be in the same place, or even there to begin with. It'd also be a pain trying to find out which shard goes with each gem of the same type.

Oof, I need to catch up with Steven Universe Future. I'm a couple episodes behind.

Though Bismuth Casual was actually really weirdly prophetic with how Pearl thought it was good courtesy to gift a roll of toilet paper to new human friends.

You're 14?!

Wow I'm surprised. With the way you act I thought you'd be 18 or something.

Edit: Mods seriously fix the gif uploader. Please.

Can we call attention to the fact we have two people with Peridot avatars, and the guy with Peridot in the name isn't either of them?

I'm changing my profile pic to Spinel to make it weirder.

A lot of the game's appeal back in the day were they helped refine the 3d exploration scene. They were part of a time where collecting things in these massive overworlds were what made your game stood out. Companies wanted to be big with 3d games because they could; it was a new era for gaming after all. Ocarina of Time wanted to show you the scale of Hyrule and Rareware was trying to impress people with how much content they could cram into a single game (almost to their detriment). So it was awesome to turn a corner and you'd fine goodies and new wacky scenarios that would let you progress and upgrade your moveset. These were games that wanted you to buy the strategy guide so you could map out everything, because there was a lot of stuff to unravel in a single world. Moreso than even Super Mario 64.

Banjo & Kazooie was fluid, had diverse set pieces, had loads of content, and is fairly witty. If it was one of your first 3d games, it left a solid impression--and it helped how its only real competition for the 3d platforming genre at the time was, like, Mario 64. I remember spending hours in Banjo Tooie as a kid just walking around because I enjoyed looking at the unique levels and all of their visuals and funny-looking characters. Nowadays I'm old and don't really care about that stuff anymore and kids these days just have better games to play (Mario Odyssey and BOTW), but man it was something else back then.

It also helps that Banjo-Kazooie just holds up really well as a speedrun game. It allows people to get into it casually, and then later try and get better at it for replay value. Maybe they can even go for 100%.
