Can you be a little more specific? Smash stages tend to be specific locations. There’s not just like, a Kanto Region stage.

Is it bad that I probably would have had a better reaction to Bubsy then I did Byleth.

The Digital World could work like a transforming stage , transforming in other locations.
For the Digimon World stage it could be Mt. Infinity or File City i think.

That’s true. I think at this point new sword characters need to bring something else with them to spice it up like Hero’s MP meter or Byleth’s arsenal. Which Dante also does.
The joke just doesn’t make me laugh because it’s kind of mean.
And my opinions on Dante as a character are still low. But he would definitely be really fun to play as.

I chuckled a little when I first saw this. This also reminds me of something, isn't it ironic that most people bashed on Byleth for being a "shill" marketing pick and yet before all this people were going crazy about the possibility of Dante getting in as a way of promoting the DMC3 Switch port because of that one tweet?

I just thought of something. If Sakurai fills up all 10 WoL slots, the game will be 8 characters away from hitting 100 if you count the echo fighters. So what if he included 8 additional Echo Fighters to bump the game up to that total? The first fighting game with 100 characters is a huge milestone that he’s actually very close to reaching.

I think the only stage that I think might not be feasible to return is Orbital Gate Assault because didn’t that stage take an entire year to make?

1. The returning stages are pretty good (though personally I'd swap OGA for either the S4 DK stage or Woolly World stage. The new stages are pretty good too.
2. I don't know why Endless Ocean is there, but the rest is good. I'd swap it for a Scribblenauts stage.

Just keep in mind that we haven't gotten a Zelda stage that originated from pre-OoT, unless you want to count Temple which vaguely resembles something from Zelda II.

If I remember correctly. But it’s also.... already made. On a system who’s assets and games are super easy to port over the Switch. Like, you’d probably just need to give it a new texture pack and that’s it. Maybe re-record the Star Fox lines with the new cast.

Endless Ocean is a childhood favorite and would be a very unique aesthetic for Smash. Fighting at the bottom of the ocean, it would be beautiful.
The characters can breath in space. And fire can’t exist in space either.
And didn’t a lot of people really like OGA?

No other stage does that. It would be weird. If that were something that Sakurai wanted to do then Pac-Maze would be back but disabled for local co-op.
