If they go for it I’d think they’d mix it up a bit, to avoid being a copy of PT.

But in all likelihood it’ll probably just be a solo Pokémon. My money’s on one of the starters. Any one of them would be really cool.

this is something I don’t want to even think about. Like, I had a lot of fun with Sword and Shield, but I don’t want any of its Pokémon in Smash.

I already have a space (or two) set aside in my predictions for more first party characters. So... I’ll keep reminding myself to role with it if it happens. But starting with a Pokémon, especially the betrayer...... well, you know how I would feel about that.

I mean, a Guardian could have been someone's most wanted, so imagine their face when not only did the Guardian not get into Smash, but got brutally murdered and mangled to make armor for a Mii.


I know, that's a stretch lol.

I've genuinely considered the idea of Guardian as a playable character, and I'd choose it to be the next generic enemy. I wasn't really expecting it, but I still felt a tiny bit of disappointment when I saw the Mii Costume.

Y’know, Jon Gamexplain keeps bringing up the idea of a Galarian Pokemon Trainer with Sobble, Raboot, and Rillaboom...

I'd be a tiny bit dissapointed if a Galarian Pokemon Trainer just went with the starters again, it would feel like wasted potential. Imagine if Sakurai went with a crazy team of Pokemon nobody was expecting, say Stonjourner, Centickorch, and Mr.Rime. That would be amazing.

I guess. The first party picks I have in my short term (And long term) predictions are Ayumi Tachibana (because Sakurai loves it and the remake is coming) and Paper Mario (because fan demand). And I guess you could swap either out for a Pokémon and it wouldn’t be.... that bad.....

Just can it please not be Rillaboom? Make it Intelleon, or Cinderace, or Toxitricity, or Hatterene, or Obstagoon, or Sirfetch’d, or Urshifu, or Zacian and Zamazenta. Just not the betrayer. I can deal with a Pokémon. Just not that Pokémon.

It'll be hard to top Your Name for me. Just annoyed that some places only show anime like once in cinema. Happened with Konosuba and happened with this. Plus evening showings are a pain in the ass for me.

I think around my place, there is normaly 3 showings, 2 subbed( which I dont go for) and 1 dubbed( which I always want by my friend always wants subbsed)

You know, I see the idea of a PT or PT-like character being kicked around a lot for DLC, but I'm not sure if they'd do it. The thing with PT is that they're a 3-in-1 character, which means that fundamentally they take up the amount of work of three different characters + an extra model and balancing between the three on top of the rest of the cast. For DLC that's a lot to do for such a character since the team is much smaller and that may be a little too demanding.

Morpeko will be our Gen 8 Pokémon. Marnie will be in the new stage as one of the trainers in the crowd, but is special in that she will sometimes cheer for you extra loud and give you a boost that will let you defeat even Brawl Meta Knight and Smash 4 Bayonetta. Playing as Morpeko will make this boost even stronger.

I’m honestly hoping for a Freddy costume, and would like a Hat Kid costume too, even if I think full fighters would always be cooler. Also, just imagine Sans’s head on Freddy’s body or the other way around

I was raised a Pokémon gamer. I’ve adapted to figuring out stats and type match ups, not a twitchy bullet hell action game. I didn’t play it cuz I knew I’d never get pass the first boss lmao

I really admire its style though, as an animation nerd it’s a wonder to look at.
