Would you look at that, someone just had to go and give me hope for Metroid again. It’s so much easier when I can just assume nothing is going to happen with it, instead of having to face crushing disappointment again and again.

Well Sabi is Sabi, and often best kept at a distance, but Zippo, who made the Metroid claim beforehand, did get vetted and verified by the resetera mods.
Yeah, but that’s like 2021 at the earliest, but more likely 2022, because of course things couldn’t go smoothly for it. I also have a preference for the 2D games, and if this is Metroid 5, as seems to be the case with its relation to Fusion, then it’s been 18 years coming.

Had a conversation earlier about this with a friend that shared the same cynicism/reasonable skepticism, mainly directed towards some of the other 'leaks' that happened prior having similarities to these new claims (not just Vergeben/Sabi/the usual "into the trash it goes" sources). I'll spare the fluff, but still bring up the exact statement that left us feeling like it's far too good to be true.
And Finally there is also another Metroid game that is coming late in 2020, a 2D Metroid. The plan is to make this franchise relevant again and secure good sales for Metroid Prime 4 (2021 at the earliest) releasing this and Prime Trilogy HD next year.

Wouldn't mind it. Color Splash was peak visual Paper Mario design, and if they remake the first one that's a catalyst for a TTYD remake that will have every nintendo fan in their 20s under the sun do one of these.

I’d rather they do a remaster collection. Considering fans have been able to make both games look so much better with MODS, I think Nintendo can easily remaster both together. I know I’d be more likely to buy a collection then both on their own.
Really? I’ve been figuring for the last year that Metroid 5 is inevitable, and even more so now. They set up the lore for it as the 100% bonus for Samus Returns. Verge said it before E3 last year, and now we got Zippo and Sabi saying it.

I don’t think people would react that badly to paper Mario. I see him on a lot of top 10 lists.
If i remember that TTYD is overrated. (no offense.) And hard to find. (Been wanting a Gamecube so freaking much.)
Except TTYD is hard to find now and has never been digitally re-released.
TTYD is much harder to play on actual hardware, though. I personally would much prefer TTYD get rereleased first because N64 is most likely coming NSO this year and will probably have Paper Mario 64 on it.
That just sounds like whiny nihilism.
Where as GameCube on NSO feels like a long shot at best.
Hard to find? I have a copy of it at home. If it's selling well, ****, my GCN and Wii are dead bricks and I have no intention of getting new ones.
I do not particularly enjoy Sticker Star or Color Splash and do not think the people currently in charge of Paper Mario will do much better with it a third go-around.

A PRE-OWNED copy at gamestop is fifty bucks. On Amazon it can be as high as a hundred. For USED copies of a GAMECUBE game!
Just 'cause I don't believe it doesn't mean that I wouldn't want to be wrong, lol. That would imply that I want classic Paper Mario to be dead, which I don't.
I got mine at a GameStop for 5 bucks like 8 years ago lol.
That’s what happens with old games. Especially as discs have a tendency to stop working after a long time.
