That’s because art is dumb. You do something random and claim there’s meaning behind it and suddenly it’s worth millions. I had a whole class full of people like that this semester.

"Value is in the eye of the beholder" is pretty much art in a nutshell. Art can be anything, but in order for it to be worth anything, people need to like the concept or the art itself.

it's why TCGS have cards that are worth more than a $1 on the secondary market, people like the card(s) (or the card(s) are strong or otherwise unique) that people bump the price up to compensate for the demand.

And I especially love the idea of trying to replicate old Silocon Graphics 3D rendering for K. Rool and Banjo. Maybe some 8/16 bit stuff for Simon and Richter. Some Toriyama art for Hero, etc.
