It’s like trying to define life. It’s hard to nail down the exact criteria, but you know it when you see it. Examples I could think of would be doom, dark souls, god of war, banjo would definitely have been game awards tier, Crash.... or something super weird and out there like Carmen Sandiego, Angry Birds, or Frogger.

I really disagree with Banjo lol.

Most people are just kinda cool with it, and not much else.

I'm more than cool with her being in. Anyways, glad you like SF2 at least. Let us know if you try the Alpha or SF3 games, even Super Turbo, since Chun got a couple new moves in that.

I did try her and Ken in Street Fighter x X-Men, which is also at the arcade.


I got destroyed because it's an entirely different beast than Street Fighter 2.

Then again, I got destroyed in regular SF2, but I at least made it to Blanka's stage before I got tired.

I don’t hate Phoenix Wright. He’d be a fun Goofey character. I just think it’s not a relatively big reveal. He’s like... Terry tear. Not something you bring to something as big as the game awards.

I would also find them doing Ace Attorney over bigger Capcom series like RE and DMC very strange.

Plus, I have never seen Capcom as a viable option for this pass.

Steve is big enough for the VGAs though and he’d be frickin awesome

My prediction for Fighter #5 is that it will be a left field pick that very few people have speculated about.

Think about it. While they have their fans, practically no one actually expected Joker or Terry, and no one talked about Hero either until Verg came around. Banjo was the only "popular" pick in the sense that lots of people were activelt predicting them. We can get so caught up on small handfuls of characters that we can forget just how big the gaming landscape is.

I don't think proccess of elimation will get us that far.

Well, I've been the main guy shilling Mega Man X, and more people focus on Heihachi compared to Jin. So I got that going for me, if somehow they end up being the "looked over choice". But I doubt it.

Hopefully it's someone I even give a half of a **** about.

Also, is it normal to be getting destroyed in Arvade mode in DBFZ? I did Snake Way easy, and the first 2 matches were easy, but suddenly, the last match had the enemy blocking everything frame perfect and throwing out Raw Level 3s that I swear do WAY more damage than in the actual game.

I will say if the next character has to be "huge" Lara Croft is still getting slept on.

Phoenix Wright seems like a reasonably big character to reveal at the game awards. If Joker's big enough anyhow, and he's from a fairly new game while Phoenix has a legacy behind him. And this is coming from someone who isn't actively backing him.

Also, saying he's "Terry Tier" in terms of hype is the greatest compliment, as Terry's a hell of a lot cooler than the other DLC characters. Need facts? How many of them can do a Buster Wolf? I rest my case.

Yeah Arcade mode can mix your **** up. I mostly play on Normal or Hard, which leads to the teams you go up against not even know what the word mercy is.

I fear MissingNo. may lose against Mr. Krabs in SiIvaGunner’s King for Another Day tournament, and we still won’t have that calm4.ogg rip that was mentioned in his source list’s examples. I like both of them, but I wanted MissingNo. to survive a while longer, and I need that calm4.ogg Minecraft rip. Calm4 rarely gets any remixes by people, and the single one I found doesn’t seem as great as it could be... Also, MissingNo.’s rips have been straight fire, though Krabs’s were as well. I’m disappointed that Geno lost without a single victory, but Cartoon Network rips are cool too so okay I suppose.

Smash has always frontloaded the reveals because, I mean that just makes sense from a marketing perspective. Why would you save "The best for last" if you're trying to sell a product?


I dunno if this DLC 5 is going to be this CRAZY HUGE character, but I'm not getting my hopes up for say, Master Chief levels of a character tbh.

Second of all, yikes, saw the Namco deconfirmation for DLC. While it's important to remember there be more DLC characters after the pass, I still feel bad for the KOS-MOS fan out there, and if I'm being honest, I kinda don't like this wave of deconfirmations we're getting. Like I get that they can't just reveal who it is without getting into problems, but still, step up your game! Or leave us in the dark just a bit since the Game Award are so close now.

I'm going to be happy whoever it is, but I'm keeping my expectations completely in check. People who are expecting this internet-breaking reveal probably are setting themselves up for disappointment.

You know, it's kinda weird when people make all these dying jokes when a character gets disconfirmed for Smash. Yeah, Smash fans have a thing for dead characters but most characters will continue to appear in games.

It's probably just me making a big deal out of nothing, but I feel like a lot of people would be more chill if they didn't act like Smash is the only video game in existence and it has nothing but CSS.
