People already on the idea of a Battle Royale between Galar's starters.

Like, I'm sorry, but you have happy monkey boy who's happy to just be beating his drum, energetic athlete bunny who punts flaming rocks at you, and then an intelligent lizard that can glide, snipe you with actual water bullets, locate precise points on your body that will be the most effective at taking you down, and can shank you with it's tail all in one.

There's a clear winner here.

I just read up on the process, and apparently holding back evolution will lead to a weaker Pokémon with less moves over all. So even if it doesn’t hurt them, it’s still not a good idea.

God. My problems would be solved if I could just skip the starter picking and just go catch an Eevee or something. IDK. Just.... I should probably just..... I don’t even know. I liked the design for the Hatenna line but then I read what they were like according to the dex and realized the thing would hate me. I don’t know what to do.

If you have online, maybe just trade your starter with someone here.

I wanted to play SwSh because of the friendship, growth, and emotional connection with the mon because I feel so alone all the time and suck at making friends.

That's genuinely heartwarming but also the first time I've ever heard someone say that's the reason they play Pokemon.

I liked my Yamper/Boltund way more than my starter. Nuzzle made catching Pokemon less troublesome in the time it took to get quick balls.

Yeah, SnakeFighter64 , just use the starter to catch the Pokemon you really want and make that your personal starter, then box it or trade it to someone. You can make your story with your own partner, it's not like your starter has any significance to the plot after you leave the first town.

Or just play a different game.

Because I feel alone. I suck at talking to new people and I’m constantly afraid of making people hate me. But I crave social interaction. I want to feel loved or like I belong to something or with someone. And I just... can’t. I thought maybe I could get a little bit of it from Pokémon with how much the anime emphasizes friendship and the bond with your mon. But I’m left without that because of all of my brains hang ups because sometimes it feels like my brain is another person who wants me to be miserable. And I just feel alone again with no way to fix it.

Verg and Sabi have been completely silent on NAMCO as a whole, which is strange, but at the same time, neither said Reimu was not coming either back when Reimu was hyped up alongside Crash or Hyabusa so whatev.

If it helps ease the discomfort, there's another clear example of the Pokémon world not dealing with energy release the same way as the real world would.

Namely, the entire concept of Poké Balls. Being able to encapsulate a monster as pure energy only to then release it back as a physical form kind of flies in the face of conservation of mass and would, theoretically, release a massive amount of energy upon being released from the ball. Hell, larger Pokémon like Wailord or Eternatus being sent out should, theoretically, basically be a nuke. And let's not even get into Dynamaxing because hoo boy.

So considering the world doesn't literally fall apart upon giant Pokémon emerging from Poké Balls, holding back evolution very likely doesn't cause pain.

Dynamaxing causes cancer.

Honestly, Dynamax is worse than Mega Evolution or Z-Moves for Balance lol.

I like Dynamaxing 'cause any Pokemon can do it, and Gigantimax is pretty much just a visual thing. I think they might get a unique move for themselves, but AFAIK they don't seem too broken when against other Dynamaxed 'Mons. Haven't played online yet though and probably won't for like another couple of weeks or so so I could be way off, lol.

The catch rates on Gigantimax Pokemon is dumb though, lol. Wish it wasn't so incredibly luck based but eh, I'm used to mechanics like that.

Not all Pokemon with a gigantamax form can gigantamax. Instead they're locked behind events and max raid battles that take too long.

I agree. I like the forms but I don’t like how exclusive they are. I have a Corviknight, let me gigantamax it. Megas Handled this way better.
