Okay.. Snake... this is going a bit too far into the "WTF who approved this plot" region of unpopular Pokemon opinions.
Like, it's a neat idea, but not for Pokemon. Maybe something a bit more mature would fit this plot better.
You have to remember that Pokemon is primarily focused on kids, so any kind of super gruesome or morally ambiguous plot is usually the first on the cutting board for the games.

Ahem.. completely unrelated, but i'm watching the JP version of that Pokemon Episode I posted yesterday(was in bed at the time, so couldn't really use sound for fear of waking parents up) and holy **** I think the VA of the SS protagonist is the same guy(it's actually a girl, go figure)who voices this guy:

I'm on my ****ty hotspot atm, so I can't really check atm.
And as I'm looking his VA up, well she honestly did a lot of roles for JP versions of the shows I watched as a kid(even did Lillle from the Sun and Moon anime!)
Oh yeah, and while doing research, she also does some of the Pokemon in Smashbros!(Vulpix and Alolan Exeggutor)

Suffice to say, this is honestly pretty neat.

My mother tried, but without much success.

Doh she saw me a bit frustrated over that and told me to let it pass this time since I didn’t have anything of worth to do in the morning (which is true ngl).

But yeah, when I start university next year this will have to change.

Hey, if you don't have school there's no harm in sleeping in once in a while.

And I know people dread morning classes in uni, but it's not so hard if you go to sleep early and have a good alarm clock.

Yeah, for a more detailed clarification there's this federal law known as COPPA that's going to make some not-so good changes for creative channels on Youtube in regards to which videos are considered "kid-friendly" and which are not. Considering what the large majority of Youtube consists of, this is definitely bad news for many content creators in fear of their lives being ruined.

We got one last year (if you mean the Game Awards as a whole, not an announcement during the list of nominees). At the very least, Nintendo's going to bring some kind of announcement to the Game Awards - in past years, we got Cranky Kong as a playable character in Tropical Freeze, a Breath of the Wild showcase, Bayonetta 3, and Joker for Smash Ultimate.

I wonder if Smash Ultimate is eligible for nominations, given it was released in December, meaning it was too late for last year.

Every community is usually so phobic of newcomers that the middle two genuinely surprise me.

You know, I actually didn't see many Persona fans who complain about newcomers. SMT fans tend to be more conservative about them.

Though P4 is better and they should say it

I think it is eligible for awards. Chronicles X got nominated the following year for Best RPG for being too late in the previous year to compete for it, so I assume Smash falls under the same thing. I think it Best Fighting Game and Best Ongoing Game in the bag if it is nominated.
