I was really hoping for Red Ryu too

But yeah

I'm not too big into either character, but if it does come down to Tales Of vs Robot Waifu, I'll be relishing that salt with a heap of mayo.

On one hand, you're gonna have "Anime sword!" "Japan bias!" "Too many rpgs" for Tales of

And for Kosmos, I can't even say here what people will say due to the risk of infractions.

Very fun times ahead if it comes down to these 2.

I would if we got the SNK trailer but with a bunch of “leaked” and most requested characters each time until the envelope falls into someone news hand.

tbh, I always saw Captain Falcon as the Smash mascot, not Mario

ya know, with his fully original moveset (that was very likely taken from the original dragon king beta) and the fact that we haven't had an F-Zero game in 15 years, yet cap still consistently pops up as a series regular

at this point in time, he's more of Smash oc than anything

I get Mario is the face of Nintendo and all, but I feel like Cap embodies Smash a whole lot more,

I know this is some kind of Touhou reference, but every time I see it brought up, I wonder what the Agatha Christie novel And Then There Were None has to do with Smash Bros.

It's still weird to consider a platforming character as a big fighting game icon, especially since he's not the protagonist of Smash or anything.

inb4 we get a Square-Enix trailer like that to reveal a Moogle but Geno, Sora, Sephiroth, 2B and Chrono miss the letter.

That would be absolutely awful and heart breaking but to some that would also be hilarious.

Agreed. There has been a lot of chaos about the fifth character this month. Sadly, those rumors may continue with all the DLC after the fifth character. But you knew that.

2) Will Banjo be the first of more western 3rd parties, or will he continue to be an exception?
3) Will spirits and ATs continue to disconfirm?
4) Will it continue to be all 3rd party?

To guess at Question 2, I'm thinking that realistically, there's only one more western 3rd party waiting in the wings for future DLC. I'd love to be wrong and have at least 2-3 more after Banjo make it in, but I'll keep my expectations in check for now.

Heihachi for sure, both parties seem to think he doesn't fit perfectly as playable so a costume again makes sense.

I could see another ARMS costume thrown in with this bunch and some random ones like last time.
