I’ve seen stuff on Twitter that people are mad at Nintendo for “treating Mario Kart Tour like the next Mario Kart main game”

Literally what? Since when is Nintendo treating it that way? They’ll give it attention because it’s a Mario Kart mobile game and it’ll attract everybody because...it’s Mario Kart.

Let people enjoy an app that doesn’t even require you to buy things in it. People get mad at everything these days.

Again, Why not both? Technically they aren't running against each other since one is third party and the other is first party though it just so happens that both are from the same franchise which could always get two-three characters in one game it happened with Sm4sh so it could happen again.
