You come back and your daughter died in a plane Crash because the pilot of her plane disappeared.

You come back and your 5,000 feet in the air because you were ON A PLANE.
I don't have any answers for your other concerns, but I do have something for these 2.

A lot of people have said they believe that when Bruce snapped he made sure that any people who came back were brought back safely.

And I have a theory that since Thanos' plan was for exactly half of all life to be wiped out, anyone who would have died as a result of someone else being snapped was also snapped, otherwise it wouldn't be "perfectly balanced" like he wanted it.

Emphasis on SAFE.

SAFE.

Blade of Evil's Bane Blade of Evil's Bane Why is this game so stupid?

Let me play already.
Lol, Link's Awakening is probably the weirdest Zelda game (or at least it's up there with Majora's Mask) ...

But seriously, the story behind the creation of the original GB version is pretty cool. The game kinda came out of nowhere (it started as a pet project) and for the first time, Miyamoto was barely involved in the development of the game. It partially explains why it's so weird, Did you know gaming? made a great video about it a few days ago (if anyone is interested by the whole story):

If Hulk made it so the snap never happened it wouldn’t have happened in another timeline. This does nothing for the heroes of this timeline. That’s how time travel works here. Therefore, they had no reason to. Because they wanted their loved ones back in their timeline.

And even if it worked for their timeline, they wouldn’t do it. Because they’d all stop existing! These Avengers would be no more. Everyone in their world, including Iron Man’s daughter, would cease to exist.

It. Would not. Have worked.
WELL THEN ITS JUST A BAD MOVIE THEN!
I don’t care if you like it. I don’t care if the creators meticulously changed commonly established tropes of fiction AND the way things work in the source material just to make this version of their story work. I don’t care. The Heroes made a bad decision. Everyone is still ****ed up irreparable. Everyone. Take the 8 billion people on earth and multiply that by the amount of inhabited planets in the entire infinite expanse of the universe. THATS how many people are messed up beyond relate because tony stark wanted to make sure a daughter still exists that he wouldn’t even live to parent. Honestly, Hulk should have just snapped away everyone else if he wasn’t gonna change history because living in a world that is that ****ed up, hell, a universe that’s that ****ed up, is not going to be good for anyone. I can’t just accept it like they want me to. It got to me. Deeply and psychologically. For every Cassie and Scott there’s 5 trillion of each situation I described. How can knowing that NOT ruin your enjoyment of the movie. How can you still see them as heroic for not even thinking about those people. How can you see the writers as anything other than cruel, callous, and heartless. How can you..... sighs. I don’t even have the energy anymore. It’s just whatever I guess. It’s only a movie. Exactly the opposite of what I needed for my mental state at that time of my life onward. But it’s been long established that the universe doesn’t revolve around me. It crashes into me every rotation.

I hadn’t thought of that. That helps a little.

The unpopular opinion question is dumb because the answer is always one of three things;
  1. An opinion that is actually popular
  2. An opinion so inoffensive that it's not even worth getting worked up about
  3. Something incredibly racist, bigoted or otherwise hateful
Luckily number 3 hasn't popped up here yet, at least I don't think so

I think if I stick around this thread I’ll get too riled up. Might be best for me to take my leave for a bit and come back when things settle down a bit.
Same thing I'll do if I feel I'm beginning to get carried away then I don't cause anything as I have multiple times.

Tbh, I don't really mind number 2, because it does lead to thoughtful discussion.

Most unpopular opinion: I don't get the hate for Illumination Entertainment. I found their films harmless for the most part, not flat out garbage like most people seem to see em. I've personally enjoyed all the 3 mainline Despicable Me films, and I liked Sing a lot more than most did. Sure they cut corners with lower budgets, but their films got a fair bit of charm to them, and tbh, I think they're a nice pick for the Mario movie, can't wait for that. I can only think of maybe 2 of their films that I flat out disliked.
I said I was gonna take my leave but I am SOOO tempted to give my thoughts on this...

The one thing that Endgame still ignores though are the irreversible deaths and brushes them off like its nothing.

The people who died in plane crashes, boating accidents, car accidents, people on life support, those undergoing surgery. Also the post-Snap world wouldn't be as you saw in the movie. It'd be a hell hole like Mad Max.

Don't also get me started with all the relationships ruined forever for those brought back to find their husbands/wives/boyfriends/girlfriends with someone else or other people living in someone's home upon appearing again.

You see where I'm getting at.

Oh! Even more unpopular opinions!

- Temple of Doom SUCKS and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is infinitely better (still love Shortround though).
- Return of the Jedi has a hadful of good scenes, but otherwise it's not good (I'd say on par with Revenge of the Sith for me).
- Phantom Menace is fun and I legitimately enjoy JarJar.

Also, I have an unpopular opinion that's gonna piss everyone off, like, its so awful you're gonna vomit:

I actually would like another Zelda game in the style of Zelda 2. Like I did like the whole non-linear progression and 2D side scrolling with RPG elements. Tbh, I can see a Metroidvania style with Zelda
To bad the CDi games killed the chance.

Uh so I would like some advice for Fire Emblem: Three Houses for anyone who's played the game. I'm stuck at a specific part in the game and I would like to try some tactics or strategies.

I'm at Chapter 20 where you fight the Death Knight alongside Caspar and some other student and I don't know how to progress cause most of the time one of my units die when it's the most inconvenient of times. This is during the Blue Lions route mind you, Any Strategies?
Thanks.

Just so you know, I loved the first Despicable Me. I even kinda liked the Minions in it. Megamind is still better tho...

But then they ruined it :yoshi:
I’m gonna be honest and say I still like it too, but that was before Illumination figured out that they didn’t have to put effort into their stuff.

I can agree that it can sometimes sprout discussion, but most of the time it's something like "I don't like [Popular thing]" or "I think [Divisive food] is actually really good", and since there's really no arguing for taste it either just fizzles or erupts into a circular argument.

I think it’s bad that they didn’t really even address the concerns I brought up. Ya know, besides freakin joking about it in Spider-Man. And I think it’s bad filmmaking to change commonly held rules of fiction to force your story. Like, it’s like they’re so upset about the tv show “invalidating” coulson’s death that the freakin overcorrected and ****ed up everyone in their universe and I just don’t think that’s okay.

But whatever. I’m officially dropping the MCU anyway. I have no reason to care.

I’m so sad.

Does this make me the king of arguments with SnakeFighter64 SnakeFighter64 ? Haha
Yes. You win. Your prize is that your my official handler now! Have fun diffusing me when I explode and listening to all my problems forever!

Unpopular opinion time.

-Avengers: Endgame was underwhelming and among most disappointing films this year.
-Spider-Man: Far From Home was a better movie and conclusion of 11 years then Avengers: Endgame.
-Aquaman sucked.
-Shazam! was a better movie then Avengers: Endgame.
-Toy Story 4 never should had been made. 3 ended the series perfectly.
-Besides Captain Marvel. Thor: Ragnarok is the worst MCU film IMO.
-Disney's animated films no longer has that magic as they rely on the same tropes then new ones.
-A Quiet Place was a terrible movie. Incredibly inconsistent, characters full of stupidity stupid and making stupid decisions (Notably the father putting the batteries back within reach for their youngest son to grab which lead to his death) and riddled with multiple plot holes. Probably one of the most overrated films this generation.
-Only other superhero films I'll be seeing are Doctor Strange 2, Guardians 3, The Suicide Squad, Shazam 2 and Black Adam otherwise I'm beginning to feel that fatigue.

Aight imma drop this in a second, but I really hafta ask.

In what universe is it bad filmmaking to make up your own rules about time travel just because everyone else does it one way? Should no one innovate, try new things? It makes no sense.

We wouldn't know who Yoshiaki Koizumi was without that game :yoshi:
Funny that he was originally brought in only to write the instruction booklet and ended up writing the whole story lol.

'' Hey you, the instruction booklet guy! Wanna write the story for the game while you're at it? '' :p

That's how you'd get a promotion at Nintendo in the 90s, randomly :link:

Casper and Mercedes, right? I don't know if I can be much help because at that point my Caspar was just such a beast that he was able to beat the absolute **** out of [villain name here].

Favorite hobby? - Exercise, combat training, and ****posting with friends.
Favorite Genre? - Good writing
Least Favorite Console? - NES. Can't say I enjoy a lot of the games on there. I grew up in an era where 3D gaming was already the rage.

You know, Snake may be misunderstanding the plot, but tbh, A LOT of media screws up Time Travel so much, which is a shame because that is an interesting plot point. Endgame tried to avoid the traditional plot holes of Time Travel by simply explaining hiw it works and then getting straight to the point, but other media screws up the concept of it so bad that it makes you wonder why they live using that idea.
