In the official Sonic Jam guide from 1997 it is stated in the above that when he senses danger, Sonic has a tendency to sneeze.

This is the reason why that, right before the mountain in front of him starts to crumble, he does it in the middle of the Sonic CD intro for seemingly no reason:

Doesn’t that game have super predatory monetization?

No. It's free to play, except for the presence of a "Gold Pass", where you get some golden karts and 200cc for 5 bucks a month. It's not worth it imo, but if you're referring to the Polygon article, they completely over-exaggerated it. The game is COMPLETELY playable without paying a dime, and while there are some features locked behind a paywall, it is by no means predatory, and they don't even advertise it to you besides when you boot up the game for the first time. People are just upset that it costs the same amount as Apple Arcade, which is where the whole "controversy" came from. It's still a super fun mobile game by Nintendo.

One I thought of was a track for Maniac Mansion. It's a theme for one of the characters, Dave. It's a "legally distinct" version of The Boys are Back in Town called "The Boys are Still Back". I think it's pretty sick, and has enough to make it stand out from the original I feel.
