Thanks for reminding me of that stupid Twitter thread where some girl (who is black btw) insisted that black people shouldn't wear sunscreen because we need Vitamin D and something something and black people can't get skin cancer something about racism if we actually put on sunscreen.


Because I love dying of skin cancer to own the racists.

Speaking of sunburns, I, a black person just experienced my first ever sunburn this summer. It was the most painful physical condition I've ever experienced. And they say black people don't get sunburns, lol.

Actually, my skin didn't change color at all! What did happen is that my skin started peeling off, leaving whitish patches along the spots I got burned.

One thing I don't like is when people feel guilty about what their ancestors did to us blacks, and then they feel the need to apologise or try to give us special treatment to show how guilty they feel.

Like, if you feel sorry, just treat us normally, like you would with anyone else. I hate free handouts that's solely based on the color of my skin, like, make us put in the work and effort for it.
