Yes, and? I'm not defending an overload of animation.Coincidentally, I’m not a huge fan of icing either. You gotta have a thin as **** later of it or else it overwhelms the cake with nothing but pure horrid sugar. I feel there’s a kind of metaphor there.
Okay but Americans like comedy too. Probably more than action. And there’s a sizable market for more dramatic shows too. dramas are pretty popular, it’s why my mom watches shows like Grey’s Anatomy. My point is, the market for these kinds of shows in America is far from nonexistent. And if they want this stereotype removed than maybe they should try to actually show us some of these things. Like Miyazaki’s movies. Those were doing great over here, thanks to Disney they were getting full theatrical releases.
I don't know what the context of this post is, but I'm gonna get this quote framed on my wallThose hips were blessed by the goddess herself FOR GENERATIONS..
The metaphor was that that particular animation style is the icing. And that too much of it can be bad.......Not sure what you're implying. Are you saying too much animation is a bad thing? Can you give examples of what you're saying too? It'd make things easier for everybody here.
No. I’m saying the marked is FAR FROM Nonexistent. Meaning it exists and is quite large. So other non-action anime should be popular here if they exist. Which they clearly do so.... I’m not sure what I’m arguing about either anymore.Yes, and? I'm not defending an overload of animation.
And yes, but action sells especially well. It's part of the reason why the MCU has done so well. And yes, the market is more non-existent, so we agree there. It's like you're trying to argue against me when we half-agree on the market point.
Geez, you're stubborn.
You have my permission to frame it on your wall.I don't know what the context of this post is, but I'm gonna get this quote framed on my wall
Are you sure? I remember Soejima stating multiple times that he intentionally avoids anime/manga styled designs in Persona, to make characters look more realistic.Honestly, the most anime character we have in Smash is Joker, and that was a delibirate design choice as Persona is noted for it's flashy anime style.
I'm glad you admitted that because I kept thinking I was just reading your argument wrongThe metaphor was that that particular animation style is the icing. And that too much of it can be bad.......
Ok. I said it was a metaphor. I didn’t say it was a good one.

Anything in excess is probably not a good thing. The metaphor was that that particular animation style is the icing. And that too much of it can be bad.......

You didn't know Part 6 was Jojo X Sailor Moon?Today, I learned JoJo and Sailor Moon are too similar because they are both action animes.
Sorry to disappoint I guess.Anything in excess is probably not a good thing.
Then if you're not sure about what you're arguing anymore: then drop it. TBH I was actually enjoying the debate combat quite a bit, but now it's devolved once more.
I was actually told by a friend who is a huge fan that the manga's ending is different, but still bad in its own way. Maybe I'll check it out some time though.OOOOOOH yeah, the ending of the anime is one of the only things I dislike about the show.
If it makes you feel any better, the manga has a far better ending. You could read that if you haven't yet.
uhhhhhhhLike for real, how can anyone take even a cursory look at Marth and Shulk and think they're from the same game?
Same game? No. Same art style? Definitely.Like for real, how can anyone take even a cursory look at Marth and Shulk and think they're from the same game?
I actually thought this when I first got smash 4 lol I knew nothing about NintendoLike for real, how can anyone take even a cursory look at Marth and Shulk and think they're from the same game?
Not well, there's no power in my house meaning I have a very short time before my computer dies and I can't do any more school work or be on smashboards.Morning people. How is everyone?
they're basically the same showToday, I learned JoJo and Sailor Moon are too similar because they are both action animes.
Screenshots Taken Five Seconds Before DisasterSame game? No. Same art style? Definitely.
You know, if I didn't know better, I would have felt like you're doing it on purpose at this point.Same game? No. Same art style? Definitely.
I miss my class todayMorning people. How is everyone?
I’m not. Especially in Smash they look like they were designed by the same man for different franchises. But I guess i’ll Shut up now because this opinion is apparently invalid. You know, if I didn't know better, I would have felt like you're doing it on purpose at this point.
You can't honestly look at their official art and say that.I’m not.
Because Smash tries to uniform character designsto make them fit each other better. That's why Banjo-Kazooie look like Mario characters or Bayo isn't much more realistic than Palutena.Especially in Smash they look like they were designed by the same man for different franchises.
Maybe your opinions would be valid if they were actually informed and well-put.But I guess i’ll Shut up now because this opinion is apparently invalid.
Wow, look at these absolutely identical artstyles.Same game? No. Same art style? Definitely.
Faceblindness is an actual problem caused by brain damage. You're just stubborn.Maybe I should get myself legally registered as “Anime-Blind”. Like being faceblind. Only instead of thinking faces all look the same, I think anime all looks the same.
It's not invalid, it's just plainly wrong, Marth look like he come from a medieval-inspired age thanks to what he wear & how simple his sword look. Meanwhile, Shulk design look more modern all around, with the jacket/hoodie & The Monado being key element that show that he can't come from a world like the Marth come from.I’m not. Especially in Smash they look like they were designed by the same man for different franchises. But I guess i’ll Shut up now because this opinion is apparently invalid.
Opo get real. That's not Marth's official character artwork. This is:Wow, look at these absolutely identical artstyles.
They're just so similar!
You know, if you ignore the color pallets. And the style of clothing. And the choice of weapon. And well, everything else.
