I was looking through old files on my computer and I saw this the other day...



Man. I was pissed about that costume. I think this deconfirmation specifically made me mad because it felt like Sakurai saw all the votes and said "nah, all you get is a costume." Of course it's a ridiculous level of pettiness over a video game, but it just reminds me how thankful I am for Ultimate... and that when I see some particularly nasty comments by Smash fans that it's a bit of a reflection of how I felt during Smash 4, and to not take Smash speculation too seriously.

I guess that's easy to say when K. Rool is in the game now, though...

Call us weebs, but WE ALL have thousands of posts on a forum specifically for a Japanese game filled with Japanese characters, many of which are in an “anime” style.

I'm just wondering when they'll start ramping up the reveals. We're almost two months away from release, and we might not even know a quarter of the new Pokemon.

Works well enough for me.

I may see when the Switch port comes out, revise if any other huge release happens and talk with my parents about picking the game sometime after it releases.

I am positive regarding Sabi's suggestion, since they tend to have a taste on videogames that I usually share with, more so regarding RPGs.

It's a fun game.

The story is kinda skippable, but if you look for challenging RPGs, I'd say give it a shot. Plus, it looks gorgeous.

Just don't expect meaningful Fire Emblem or Shin Megami Tensei elements, it's pretty much its own thing for the most of the time.

Real talk, why is it Skull Kid people want when it comes to another Zelda villian?

Like, almost every argument that can be used for him can be used for every other Zelda villian. A lot of Zelda villians were one shots that left a good impression on people due to their mannerisms. Is it solely MM alone that gives him the upper edge?

I mean, I may be confused as I'm like the only guy in the thread who would rather have Vaati instead.

Or WW Ganondorf.

It's mostly because Majora's Mask is a beloved game and the Majora's Mask itself is iconic. Personally, I'd rather have Ghirahim, but I'm not big on Zelda one-off characters in general. Skull Kid never seemed that appealing to me since you don't even fight him in Majora's Mask, and I say this as someone who has MM as their favorite Zelda game and in their top ten in general.

The real Zelda newcomer is, as always, classic Ganon.

I think skull kid is the most iconic villain of the series after ganon/ganondorf

I don't really have any specific Zelda rep I support. I give equal support for Midna, Tingle, Ghirahim, and Skull Kid (though I'm leaning most towards Midna).

He has a rad design and is from the objectively best game in the Zelda series

Also he can be seen as repping MM, which is otherwise somewhat poorly represented in Young Link (no Fierce Deity Final Smash, weapons from the beginning of OoT)

Dunno bout other people, but I think he could also have a really unique playstyle based around cursing the opponent (nothing broken like swapping their controls or anything)

As for other Zelda villains, Ganon would be cool but I'd rather we got a Zelda newcomer that's not one of the triforce wielders for once. Vaati's decent but hasn't been a presence for years as the Capcom Zelda games get sadly ignored. Bellum and Malladus are boring, Demise is Ganon but worse, Ghirahim would be cool but I'd rather a non swordie ideally, Veran and Onox are largely forgotten, and the nightmares from Link's Awakening ... but I don't think anyone's ever demanded them

I still think Mipha would've been a really good addition. Not only does she fight with a trident, but she'd likely have a huge emphasis on healing.

Plus, Zora are really iconic to Zelda. Adding her would open the gates to other species like Gorons and Rito.

I didn't call anyone a weeb, I was addressing the increased weeb energies in the thread. But yes, we are all weebs. Except me. I'm clean. :skull:

Seriously, Shadow got jibbed hard being an AT. Of all the potential 3rd parties and how the roster was shaping up, Shadow screamed "no brainer".
