Who in their right mind gets so angry over toxicity that they want the entire mode, toxic players and all, to just go away forever? Account shut down and mode shut down and everything?

The "die in a fire" part with comp mode was obvious sarcasm, but even still... as you said before, getting this mad over a game makes no sense.

There is something wrong with me, and I'll probably always be convinced of such.

Yes, but what about the magnitude of such? Over tier placement of all things? I'm not even a pro player and I'm this upset at myself, the toxic players, and the mode as a whole. Everything.

And I'm not playing the game for the rest of the day. Everything related to Overwatch today was a mistake.

I never said getting mad over a game makes no sense. It makes perfect sense, actually, and lots of people do want those players to go away. I'm pretty sure everyone does.

My suggestion? The next time you're playing the game and even have the slightest hint of anger boiling inside you, just...turn the game off.

I've experienced a lot of what you're feeling right now with Street Fighter 5's ranked mode. Profanity was commonplace, accusations were thrown around with no hesitation, and a controller might have met my knee once or twice. Thing is, I knew that what I was displaying was unhealthy and said to myself: "Hey, maybe this game just isn't for me". Sooooo...I dropped it.
I wasn't having any fun with the game or what it was causing me to feel, so I stopped.

I actually think there is an above average chance that Sakurai might end the Fighter's Pass off more strongly than people expect (I mean I think Ryu Hayabusa is a super strong finish personally... but not everyone agrees) and he might go for something big. Sora feels right for some damn reason right now and I can't get the idea of a The Game Awards reveal for him out of my head today. It'd be so great to finish off on him to give a whole bunch of fans what they wanted and so I could finally hear the end of "Sakurai always disappoints at the end" lol.

Well, now that we're getting more DLC, whoever ends the Fighters Pass doesn't really matter for the fans.

I don't think Sora will be in the Pass, but I would say he is a definite possibility for after that.

I mean, it's possible. I just think Sakurai has a couple of huge surprises in store for the next couple of reveals and I got blindsided by the Terry Bogard reveal for not looking at all the evidence closely enough haha. I'm just looking for something a bit less predictable (alternatively, I could see a scenario in which Ryu Hayabusa is #5 and we get a huge reveal at The Game Awards like Sora or Geno or someone big for the community).

It's also just the thing where I feel like if Smash fans are annoyed with character #5, they'll say Sakurai "never ends strong" and add it to that criticism. If it does end strong, they'll say "it wasn't the end of DLC, so it doesn't count..."
