People often say or act like sans is only popular because he's a meme. I however genuinely like the character and I'm sure many others do as well.

I'm pretty sure that's no longer questionable. If people still think that his popularity is based around pure meme, then they're in some serious denial.

I'd love his inclusion, but I can't see it happening. He's owned by Warner Bros, who would probably prefer they add a MK character.

Well, it’s not really what they want is it? It’s what Sakurai wants. And if he wants Maxwell then... we’ll I feel like you’d have to be an idiot to turn down the use of your character in Smash.

Maxwell could be cool, but I feel like part of his character would be lost in translation. His series allows you to draw whatever you think of, and that wouldn't really be possible in smash, meaning he would have to have preset moves that create specific things.

They could make it so that he has a bunch of different options for what each special move can create, kind of like Hero's command select, but like I said it would be for every special move.

Beyond the moveset, I'm not sure whether there would be any licensing issues since he's owned by Warner Bros. Also, there doesn't seem to be all that much demand for him, so unless Sakurai personally wants him it's hard to say how likely he is.

Now to be fair, not many people were requesting PP, Joker, or Terry. A few fans wanted a DQ character, but most people couldn't agree on a character, so Hero wasn't really requested either.

I mean. Warner Bros is a company just like any other. If they can license from freakin Microsoft, they can license from WB. They just have to name their price. Let’s just hope Sakurai was bored one weekend and popped Scribblenauts into his DS at random and fell in love.

You should try avoiding the capture mechanic while still collecting as many moons as you can. It's a pretty fun challenge and surprisingly doable for a bunch of them.

Oh yeah I havent spoken since the direct but Terry was one of my three most wanted characters before this point, and getting him along with Joker means I'm on a very good streak now!! It feels so surreal seeing my man Jerry Brogard with his back turned to the camera on the mural, like god they actually put SNK in over something like MK or Tekken.

I'm really glad to see that we have more characters to look forward to but tbh even though there are plenty of Nintendo characters they could add I think at this point we're mostly beyond that and the main focus should be on making this the most insane ****ing crossover ever.

Well I didn't necessarily mean he isn't likely due to lack of demand, I meant that he may not be on Sakurai's mind due to a possible lack of demand, assuming he didn't play the games himself. But I still think he could be very possible however.

I’m pretty sure I read somewhere that scientists had a process that at least gave them an idea of their skin pigmentation. Not to mention environmental camouflage principles.

To be fair, I don't think any of the Mishimas are particularly wholesome or noble.

I'd be fine with any of them, but Jin's the guy I use the most in Tekken. So I'd prefer him over the others.

Hello, I'm back again!

I have a legitimate question about the perceived "rules" are for character inclusion into the game. With certain characters such as Cloud, Ridley, K. Rool, Joker, etc. this time around, what are the current set of "rules", if any, that are still standing? It's been an awesome yet rocky time with all the "never-smashers" as I dubbed them being added with mixed reactions, so should we even still HAVE rules? It's looking more and more like if Sakurai wants them in, they get in.
