Don't you just love it when the majority of Smash fans across the web go into a b***h fit over a newcomer that isn't their most wanted,
and act like complete A-holes about it by disregarding those who've wanted said newcomer?
We've really dealt with another Dragon Quest situation haven't we?​

People are still thinking comparing Terry to Ken is an insult when even the SNK vs Capcom games had fun with this? That's just sad.
Sidenote, seeing this, I'd have been fine with Kula as well, We could need another ice based fighter, giving the Ice Climbers some competition.

And yes, I am aware that mine would have been suspended numerous times over some of the things i’ve said. But I’m tired of this. In places besides the Smash community. Just because you CAN say whatever you want, doesn’t mean you should.

We’ve clearly abused our free speech privileges. It’s time to take them away so we can think about what we did.

While I don't doubt Sakurai enjoys both series, let's not forget that both Persona and Fatal Fury have pretty damn good reasons to make it into Smash (Persona as a series even outsell Banjo-Kazooie).

I don't have a problem with Sakurai adding characters for himself, but most "Sakurai picks" are just regular picks unknown to Smash bubble.

While I don't doubt Sakurai enjoys both series, let's not forget that both Persona and Fatal Fury have pretty damn good reasons to make it into Smash (Persona as a series even outsell Banjo-Kazooie).

I know KoF and SNK being due to its legacy and many inspirations of Smash along with Sakurai being a fan who played them. At this point there's more to Smash then fan favorites. Its about celebrating gaming and we don't know if it'd even exist or be as it is today if not for KoF. Actually surprised Terry never made it until now.

That's what these fans fails to realize.

You know, for what it’s worth...when we talk about Smash and adding Nintendo characters there’s...64 total Nintendo Fighters, going over 70 if you count each Koopaling.

I get it, like, we haven’t gotten a DLC character from a Nintendo series but like...the whole idea that Sakurai needs to “throw Nintendo fans a bone” is...odd.

Not every character ever will be playable in Smash. I imagine I won’t get every character I want. In a perfect scenario I’d get Rex, Edelgard, Astral Chain, Dante, Leon or Jill, Heihachi, Doom Slayer, Crash...there are others. But the fact remains that’s its simply not going to happen.

I just think it’s ironic that Nintendo fans think there’s too much of a 3rd party focus when there’s basically 70 characters you could play as, and companies/series that aren’t in Smash get ONE (1) character. This is especially interesting when it’s just addressed not as add a “Fire Emblem character” or “Pokémon character” but First party. Like any 1st party will do.

I just find it interesting.

Its weird, like people only ever care about the new characters. Personally, I'm not super attached to any one character or franchise so I'm never really disappointed with what happens.

Some people do say awful things and have awful opinions just look at 4chan but Free Speech is a right and something that shouldn't be taken away. People spouting awful things is horrible and nobody should stand for it but what about the people who don't do that? Why punish them when they didn't do anything?

And this is about Smash anyways, People can have differing opinions as long as you don't harass people.
