I'm curious, as a person of color, tell me why Smash needs characters just for that? Gamefaqs always goes for this topic and I don't get it.

Personally it doesn’t matter that much to me. The character I most relate to in media is white as hell.

But representation is important. It’s always nice to see someone who’s like you in a game or movie.

Hi. Well, sorry for the long time, I finally took that hotsauce shot for losing the bet with @Bolderousness, over banjo getting in.

I'm feeling a bit nauseous from how much i took, but i think it'll pass in not too long.. :O
My mouth's a bit burny, but it wasn't as hot as I thought it would be on the throat. I mostly feel it in my stomach.

Hotsauce doesn't taste as good in big amounts, that much i know now

It's Gamefaqs, ignore it. They just wanna rile up people.

And to answer the whole PoC question, the reason why Smash doesn't have alot is because most of it's roster is legacy characters since like the 80s, where Diversity wasn't as much of a concern, or animals or alien creatures. There isn't a lot of non-licenced PoC legacy characters, like, there's a reason why Joe S'mo with a Gun is such a memeable stereotype within the Gaming community.

Now, what you should be asking is for more PoC in games that aren't Smash, because playing as generic white man whose girlfriend got banged and then died by the hand of someone else gets boring fast. But then going against the status quo is seen as political, but I won't touch that.

There's actually not that many games coming up that interest me right now, but pokemon is a saving grace maybe. And I'm definitely going to spoil myself by looking up all the new ones before playing it

I havent looked much at smash speculation lately, but im curious if people think a new pokemon could be the 4th dlc

kind of.... I don’t want to spoil it because it’s actually kind of funny and a defining character moment.

I find it interesting that people like to make memes about Disney taking over the world, despite the fact that companies like Apple, Amazon, Microsoft and Google are nearly 4x bigger than the Mouse House (Like they have enough to purchase Disney outright) and are much more likely to achieve world domination first

It just goes to show you that people care far more about media in this country than anything else.

oh ok, makes sense from what we've seen.
I kind of get the feeling that at least one will be from nintendo, maybe the first 3 being 3rd party for a different kind of hype. Definitely curious, tho not as much invested as i was before. (like for speculation & stuff)

nice hey good to hear. not doing too shabby in august i'd say

I think Hero isvery fun for sure. So many spells and in a way it's still balanced because they come up randomly. Obviously critical hits and the instant death spells are maybe a bit too random and powerful.

I think anyone who knows a little from me know i'm disappointed that they didn't put anything from the female versions (of 3 & 4).. and personally I like faster characters with good out of shield options, and I don't feel like Hero really fits that bill, so all of that combined makes it that I'm not maining or even secondarying them, but there's still a lot about the character that's amazing, and I'm definitely going to use them casually.

Maybe if Nintendo had bought Rare than we could go for less important KI characters like TJ Combo. But you’re kind of hard pressed to find any people of color in staring rolls in gaming.

He’s Greek. But the few times we’ve seen him without the ashes it’s been in some sort of Sepia tone, and his skin tone has always been on the darker side. Plus he’s always had an African American voice actor, and... well.... I don’t know how much more I can say without being politically incorrect.
