I see that as Sam Raimi's credit rather than Sony's. After all, SM3 and the Amazing Spider-Man movies also happened, and a lot of those decisions were the producers meddling. Plus, this is a Tom Rothman era. Considering how he handled X-Men while he was president of Fox, yeah...

Also what's Amy Pascal's position on all this? She's also a producer of these movies and she doesn't work for Sony anymore. :yoshi:

I feel like I shouldn't have to say much about the topic of trying to drive people to suicide, it should be a no-brainer to not egg people on in such a way. Especially for something as petty as wanting a character in a video game or maining a character in a game. Let alone for some teenager. Especially after the passing of a community member that many people felt attached to.

But people will always want to act up I guess.

Oh for sure, Raimi and his team are the guys who put in the real work. The fact SM3 had ANY good parts at all, was likely due to said team. I guess I was just venting a bit since I felt the MCU Spider-Man movies were fine, but not my favorite. I like Holland in the role, so I hope the films will get better and better with or without the MCU. And I see people getting all uppity about this version or that version. But that'll happen to every one once in a while.

Though none of the movies got a version of Peter Parker that's 100% like the comics. Not enough literal thuggery.

I just wanted my damn Spider-Man/X-Men stuff. And some sick Marvel games. That's what I wanted from these crossover movies and we're getting jebaited from it.

Though it's been only a day, so we'll see how these developments change.

Ah **** I can't believe they've done this. We got Nightwolf already so I can't complain but I guess I'll be waiting until KP2 for the other character I really cared about.

I assume he'll still come, just later than we thought. Plans must've changed at some point though, since unless Joker has a chainsaw for some reason the tease at the end of Shang's trailer was definitely for Ash.

Imagine this.

Along with the DLC MK11 Pack being revealed 14 hours from now alongside them is Scorpion being announced as the fourth DLC fighter and #74 for Smash Ultimate.

I guess I'm still good since Spawn's the only guest character I cared about. He's too cool looking for me not to like. And I still dig his 90's animated series. Keith David's performance added a lot to him.

I mean I don't think it looks awful. I like that he's got a suit again but the hairstyle isn't doing him many favors and his face looks a bit too pretty and rounded compared to other incarnations.
It's a shame because everyone else looks great, especially Spawn, Joker just misses a few marks in his design IMO.

Only reason Joker is even among DLC to begin with is to promote the new Joker movie which I think is dumb to begin with. Joker doesn't need an origin movie as the whole point of his character and how he came to be is suppose to be mystery. He could be you, your friend, the guy sitting next to you, the guy walking pass you, etc. Hurrah for demystifying!

And the fact they're trying to make Joker of all characters sympathetic. That already loses me.

Remember when I suggested that "Union" comic book idea? I decided to replace my lead character who was to resemble Spider-Man to someone whose powers require a lot of rules. He'd be a matter displacer who can swap objects of equivalent mass as long as he can visualize the distance between the objects... :yoshi:

So this is the first post I saw when opening the thread, and I haven’t heard of the Mortal Kombat stuff, so I thought this was a ****post about Persona 5 Joker being in Smash to promote the DC Joker movie, and how a Phantom Thief could be sitting right next to you.

Then I saw it was a bit too serious for a meme and scrolled up, and ugh that design.

It’s been known for some time that Joker and Terminator were the last two dlc fighters as their intro dialogues are in the files along with Nightwolf, Sindel, and Spawn.

But holy hell it’s gonna be a long wait till we get Spawn.
