Seriously though, that's what I think regarding the "modern" gamer. It's all about teh graphix these days.

I should just clarify by it;s all about the ACCURACY and REALISM in the graphics.

Because don;t get me wrong, graphics HAS to be a big part of a game...I mean, you are exposed even more than the music.

The problem is when you try to always push them in a way that....it just FEELS the same.

Which is just not good for diversity.

And while I;m here, caring all day long about the most simplistic graphics I saw in a way that I love them way more than modern stuff and it is the Paper Mario artstyle.

I will say it again, I think only indie devs and Nintendo are trying to NOT have this philosophy and Nintendo do it well.

That reminds me, Disney Infinity should really add more Pixar characters. The current ones we have are alright but I don't think it fully represents Pixar's presence in the game. Wall-E, EVE, Remy, Carl, Russell, and some Pixar villains would be fine.

I'd have to agree, but knowing Disney Infinity's possible roster for 3.0, we're probably going to get Joy, Sadness, Arlo (the main dinosaur from The Good Dinosaur) as our Pixar reps since those 2 are the upcoming films, and the possible classic Pixar rep probably being Flik and Atta from A Bug's Life (who are the only classic reps from the 1995-2006 era not playable in Disney Infinity).

All we do know is that we're getting a Star Wars presence in the next game, along with possible reps from Indiana Jones, X-men and maybe Deadpool, although the 3rd 1 is very unlikely (seeing what they managed to do with Hulk and Venom who are 2 of Marvel's most violent characters, Deadpool will get that same toned-down treatment).

I don't think Toy Story 4 could "ruin" the previous entries in the franchise.

At the worst, I think it might just not effectively live up to them.

The 1st Cars wasn't as better, in fact it had a 78% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the worst reviewed Pixar film of the 2000s, I think that was a little bit troubling and possibly foreshadowed of what was to come, but Lasseter ignored it and went ahead with Cars 2 after doing Toy Story 3.

I just hope Finding Dory isn't going to be as bad as the 1st film, and with Ellen back on board it should be a huge winner for Pixar.

I doubt Toy Story 4 will suck, only because they confirmed they aren't making it for da money$$$.

They said they just had an idea that they really, really like, and they just have to do it.

I'm very curious as to what this "amazing idea" really is.
Perhaps it could be similar to the first one, where Woody feels he is being replaced by a new fancy toy with technology.
But this wouldn't be just one or two toys being outdated by another. It would be all the toys, and the idea of toys overall, being outdated by one giant, revolutionary "toy".

The toys being outdated by technology was hinted at in Toy Story that Time Forgot.

And yes, there was the Buzz Lightyear video game in Toy Story 2 (which had HD 3D Graphics and was being played on an SNES, mind you), but that may have taken place in that gap of time where toys and games lived in harmony, and games didn't completely overshadow toys yet, especially with kids. I know that when I was a kid, I played with both.

Heck, one could even assume that in all those years Andy didn't play with the toys, he was gaming!

Toy Story 4 could take place in the modern day, where even babies are playing games on their mommy's iPhones! Surely Bonnie would be consumed in the new craze, right?

That's what started Sonic's permanant downfall in Video Game Society, it's also the year in which the 1st Cars film was released (god I hate everything Cars related, Mater is probably 1 of the most annoying and the worst character Pixar has ever created, he makes Jar Jar Binks look like a Jedi Master in the Star Wars universe).

Granted Larry the Cable Guy was a funny comedian, but the Cars franchise has all but ruined him and yet he still loves doing what he is doing, making those stupid heartburn ads.

My main concern is that Toy Story 4 won't focus on the toy-child relationship that made the first 3 great. Without that, the writers are going to need to create a different theme that can still hold the candle to the predecessors.

Yeah, they did say that there would be less human interaction or something along those lines, didn't they? I do have faith in Pixar's brilliance, but at the same time I can't help but feel some doubt as well.

Hopefully a trailer (whenever one finally comes out) gives us a better idea on it.

And I wouldn't know, the only Cars merch I ever saw was in stores at Disneyland itself. (though my family did get me a few Cars toys outside of it as Christmas gifts for me)

Funny I hate the Cars franchise, but I have Francesco who's from Cars 2 for my Disney Infinity game (which is very contradicting what I said earlier), mostly because he has the Italian flag painted on his body and I'm part Italian.

I hope The Incredibles 2 dosen't follow suit and go the love route too (although a love story focusing on Violet could go places if done right (hopefully with her in a love triangle with Tony and another boy (Xaiver from the comics perhaps?), but it seems the sequel will be an updated Jack-Jack Attack if rumors are true(hopefully I hope the latter dosen't happen, because it'll devaule the other 4 family members by having it being all about Jack, while giving the other 4 lesser screen time.)

Funny, I stopped getting happy meals at age 15, which saddens me greatly because I never got a Violet happy meal toy (then again I was basically going through my own Violet phase that same year when the movie was coming out, because I had a huge crush on her and I was shy and nervous just like her, sad part is that I never gained the confidence like she did during the film's progession).

Could I be Violet but in the real world?
