Is it weird that out of my whole game collection which spans over 13 years, not a single disc has become broken or unreadable? Granted one game was stolen which prompted me to buy another copy, and in another case, it was my crappy launch PS2's disc reading lens going bad (launch ones do that apparently) but I've had good luck otherwise.

Also @ title - Laserdisc is where it's at bruh

I only have a Pokémon Gold that doesn't save anymore. It does save, but when I turn it back on again, it's gone. And my F-Zero GX has some reading problems, but I bought it second-hand and it already had that problem. And now my GameCube doesn't read discs anymore.
But broken or unreadable, no, never.

Most of my old GameCube games work to this day, but I can't get them to run because my Wii's disc drive no longer works, and I don't own a GameCube anymroe.

Me too I tend to really care about phisical copies.

Like first, I ALWAYS make sure to have the original case to hold them (sadly, the only exception is spm because I bought it used at an eb games and the case is a placeholder, but it's like I only miss the cover).

And my GC I care particularily about it working. Once, the gc wasn't reading disc enough so I bought one on Ebay right after as....geez, I like CANNOT afford to not have a GC, last time I sold it I reaslised it was the worst decision I made in my life ever.

As I cared more and more with games (realising it's art), I began to exceptionally organise them in a place when I could see the end label with the case. Now, trust me, I suck for organising stuff, but this is an exception as I care a lot.

Plus, with some games like ssbm and unfortunately, TTYD and pm64 cartbridge becomes quite annoying to get, you don't want to break them.

I think the first GC games I bought after my sold mistake was like 6 years back and it was ssbm....geez, that play was so much memorable....

On the anime topic, I'd also recommend Durarara!!. It gets into somewhat weird and confusing stuff, but still very good and the characters are quite memorable. There's also the second season currently airing as well.

Ds I think is a thing now.

N64 would maybe be....though, lots of them are on wii mode which technically works.

gameboy....well, seeing the 3ds thing...I don't think it's going to happen and even, they like for some reasons don't release the pkmn games (but I have a GBP...might play red/blue if I have like the time to not do stuff about Paper Mario )

Gamecube however is definetely possible.

See, to have the digital Wii games, the GC had a very similar hardware the proof being the Wii orignally designed as an add on.

So, they can make very good GC thing with the hardware.

The problem is why they don't now....that's like replacing TTYD remake possibility....

My Wii still works to this day too; I had it since 2008 and it runs GC games, Brawl, and Xenoblade very well, as well as my other Wii games. I had to get a 39001 model PS2 a while ago though cause eventually my launch one (30001), the one that had the disc reading issue, eventually stopped working. It could turn on and read PS2 disks (not PS1s, that's where the error came into play) but it would shut down randomly after a certain amount of time. It sounds like overheating but I'm not sure, and cleaning the heat sink did nothing.

I'm thinking of selling it (and my old PS1) for parts on eBay, even though I think my PS1 may still work.

This thing is a freaking nightmare to use.

I don't even want to imagine using the stick with ssbm, but you got into stuff like in TTYD, TRY TO DO THE HAMMER SWING!!!!!

The silliest thing is that when you get the Super hammer, Toadette does tell you it's a bit hard to press B and rotate the stick a bit...

Well she's right becuase I have to hold a key and then try to wiggle my finger between the arrow jeys....

As for why I use keyboards for gc, I'm like TRYING to get an adapter, but they got problems with shipping....

Luckly, I will enjoy spm glitch hunting with real controllers

I use a SNES controller to play Smash on my computer (Super Smash Flash 2/Super Smash Land/SSB64). Plays like Smash 3DS but with a D-pad instead of the circle pad.

Reminds me of that 3rd party controller I bought. After a couple of uses, the control stick got stuck in his upward direction and I couldn't get it loose. Try playing Melee when you jump all the time and there's nothing you can do about it.
Although my 'problem' is less problematic than yours. Yours sucks.

Yeah, pretty much. That's what I like about it. Perhaps I don't even need to plug in a GameCube controller to my PC via the use of an adapter.
