SoCal Melee PR 12/29/2013 Update

I think there are 10 notable players in SoCal that wouldn't hurt to keep it at the top 10.. if the point of the PR is to try and have a goal to shoot for, i'd be personally a lot less into it.. not that im even close to these guys' level anyways

4. Tofu- he left but larry entered melee twice and did well, whether the panel feels he 4 or not, he should be ranked

next we have

these 4 all still deserved to be ranked and i doubt many would argue

which leaves

6. Atlus- performance hasn't been great at these last serious of tournies so debated to keep on
10. ROFL- basically quit

last time i checked the whole point of a PR is to give something for people to strive for, it wouldn't be hard to find 1 or 2 good players who are consistant enough and so what if they aren't just as good as the others, i can think of a few players off the top of my head who are more then good enough to compete wiht people on that list

people are more motivated when there is some way to show they've gotten better, i've been motivated to get better once i can back into the community, but once this came out, it was even more of an incentive for me to try

last time i checked, everyone on that list/panel is glad to help others get better, and taking this down is taking down a reason to get better, maybe if more people get good, then atlus won't feel like he's only playing the same few people

And losing to ranked players and only beating non ranked players really doesn't mean much either since we have a good number of smashers with such a resume.

Futile might get on the list soon. Also, Bizzaro Flame has a really nice Ganon. I really think he might be able to beat some people on the PR soon. He nearly beat Connor in this recent tourney. Mango should update the list this month if it's updateable. Every two months would be nice, but perhaps it's a little fast as well? Maybe every 1/4 of a year or 1/3?
