i used to smoke weed.. but now i.... i just... well when i said used to i meant... oh nvm.

i had smoked cigarettes before, then after awhile i got tired of craving them. buying a pack here and there, and jus knowing that my lungs/body is getting unhealthier everyday was enuff to help me quit. but every now and then ill crave for one. sometimes have dreams thats im smoking a cig

weed on the other hand, i dont think its a good idea to go around telling people u toke, but im not gonna lie and say that i havnt done it on a daily basis before. ever played smash while ur intoxicated? sometimes u feel like ur playing ur best, other times u know being high is making u bad.

My older brother and sister both smoke. It smells like **** (to me), and I think that if I haven't started now and everythings fine then theres no reason to. If you guys want to do it then its nobody elses business to stop you.

I just think its not needed for me, so why should I. I have never smoked anything-- BodyWorlds also was a turnoff to the whole smoking thing (go see it if you haven't, dead bodies pwn hard). lol

I don't actually smoke myself, and I never plan to. But I know plently of people who do. However, one wierd thing about me, I absolutely LOVE the smell of cigars. I actually try and find excuses to go into the cigar shop whenever I'm around it

I also like the smell of gasoline... but that's a totally different story.

I recently quit smoking, I can control myself to not smoke, as long as I don´t drink. As soon as I´ve had a few beers I´ll give a beer to one of my mates and he´ll give me a few cigarettes to last through the night =P. Marlboro red & gold (medium) are the best imo to get around here, but cigarettes and brands are a lot different here than in the states, or so I've heard at least.

Concidering weed being legal in this country I can't deny having smoked it before. I don't do it on a regular basis though, at least not anymore.

But what's this **** about roll-your-owns with a roller? I know next to nobody who uses such a thing, everyone just roles them with their hands, like a mini-joint kinda. Come to think of it, there is this reference in pulp fiction where John Travolta rolls a cigarette and is being called cowboy for it or something. I guess it isn't as normal to do in the states.

I caught that as well. I'm from Texas and still thought it odd as well. I've heard of nubs rolling joints with a roller but not tobacco. If you do it enough i can't imagine not learning to roll by hand.

I've smoked cigars once or twice, nothing else though. I'm a junior playing football and theres alot of peer pressure, but that's all bull really. I'm not a big fan, but I have friends who do smoke, and it isn't really a big barriewr in friendship. It's their choice what they do just as much as its my choice to do what I want.

the thing about smokin weed is that if you do it, everyone around you who doesnt smoke instantly develops a sudden hatred of you... thier just straighties however and i believe they dont really understand... but the fact of the matter is that it is illegal and you shouldnt be doin that to begin with....

to be honest i smoke the greens and ciggarettes... and i have been isolated from others for doing both of them on more than one occasion...

and just for the record im not proud of the fact that i smoke... if i could go back i would change that...
and also after prolonged amounts of time you eventually start slipping into psycosis... which isnt good....

Hmm I dont think smoking weed is good at a young age because it ****s with your brain and your school and your mental development. It makes me sad to see 13-14 year old stoners, and there are a LOT of them in this city.

Im a huge weed smoker but I started when I was 17 and I'm 19 now so its been almost two years. I started smoking cigarettes last year aswell, I really enjoy cigarettes.

I hate that whole ''omg I have to quit'' attitude. Either smoke, or dont. But if you do smoke, enjoy it.

In all seriousness, I don't smoke and I never intend to smoke. I bug the hell out of my stepsister who was able to QUIT and then picked it up again a year later, because I think that is just stupid. She picked it back up because she wanted to see if they would taste disgusting to her now that she's quit for a year. Stupid reason

I don't mind second hand smoke, and I would never ask someone to put a cig out just because I was there. There's a lot of data out there that says that secondhand smoke kills, but it's all pretty much bull****. You look at the studies, and it assumes that people died of second-hand smoke related deaths if anyone in the house was a smoker. Ever. I'd like a more balanced study before I start stamping out other people's smokes.

however, I do love the smell of pipe tobacco. I dare say it's my favorite smell ever.
Anyway, I work in landscaping and everyone around me smokes, so I got a little frustrated at the fact that they were able to take a five minute break anytime they needed to smoke. To get around this, I brought I yo-yo with me, and everytime they go to smoke, I shall go yo-yo.
I feel that if they are getting paid to harm themselves, I should get paid to do something completely pointless.
I don't care if peoples smoke, I'm not saying smokers are lazy....whatever.

Thanks! I never knew that tobacco contains carcinogens! Thanks for opening my eyes!

Also, there is no evidence that weed causes cancer. Studies never seem to find a connection. I remember hearing stuff about marijuana causing cancer in school, but then again, they also told me that blood was blue in the absence of oxygen. I believe the reason it was banned in the first place because it was threatening the tobacco industry centuries ago.

High blood sugar? You mean hyperglycemia? As far as I know, weed doesn't help that.

And it doesn't do a great job of helping with glaucoma either (which is pretty rare to have at your age anyway).

My doctor told me glaucoma was associated with my type I diabetes, caused by high blood sugar, and some research said weed, which is a herb, helps loosen up the nerves in your body like around the eyes and legs, and with Diabetes you have bad nerves, which is why if your glucose levels go out of control you might turn out to be blind or no legs when you get older.

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime estimates that 4% of the adult population use weed -regularly-, so I don't understand why you'd be so confused that a lot of smashers smoke.

I dont want this thread shut down (so I'll keep it PG), but i am and avid smoker, thru and thru. cigs and contraband aswell. I have enjoyed it since I was 15 and it has never brought me down. I don't plan on quitting either.

Hookahs are fun too. I have a three hose setup, it gets used quite a lot.
